Compared to other products such as Documentun, this is so easy to maintain, the admin console is so easy to understand and it adds a lot of features that, in other products, you would need a developer to do for you. Pros It is really easy to configure and maintain, it is intuitive and the Hubshare companion product opens your company's repository to external and internal users that have different access needs. Cons The way that the subscription model is organised, it means that for some features you need to move to a subscription level that is more costly. Especially how M-Files copes with the amount of data that has accumulated over the years. Pros What I like most about M-Files is its adaptability to various problems. I like to compare it to a construction kit. With a little effort, it can be adapted to any industry and used in several languages without programming. Even though M-Files offers a very extensive API, which expands the possibilities. Cons The integration into Windows Explorer is both a curse and a blessing. It offers many possibilities, but also restricts M-Files in many places and unfortunately causes errors again and again due to Windows updates. It is also not possible to run the server with a different operating system.
