Pros Sample size calculation is one of the most important task of statistician in designing of research. You need to know how many people is needed to recruit in study. Sample size calculation depends on the statistical methods that will be used in data analyzing stage. As you know the set of possible statistical algorithm is huge and no-one can do all of them by hand. Moreover, sometimes there is not a simple formula and the problem of sample size calculation need to use simulations to solve.
