It is great for managing multiple accounts, seeing extra data about the audience (especially Instagram) and making sense of it

Cons

Now that Meta products have their own scheduling options, Creator studio and multiple new features, it seems that there is not a lot of use for this 3rd party app, except for insights.

Cons

Si Sprout permet d'avoir beaucoup d'information sur ses réseaux sociaux, on pourrait lui reprocher de proposer de façon payante des informations qu'on obtient gratuitement via Facebook par exemple.

### "The best social media tool out there "

Pros

The smart inbox! I first got Sprout to save the problem of managing so many accounts and trying to stay focused and sane. The Smart inbox was a gamechanger. Since then it's evolved well and packs some really powerful features to simplify and scale not just outbound social, but inbound social and that's where it really stands out.

Cons

Literally, the only thing that stops me recommending this to everyone is the cost. And it's not really a con, it's aimed now at a more professional market so I totally get it. I'm grandfathered into an old plan and it's a shame that as such an early adopter I'm not given more of the new features, once again I understand it, but I think it does say a lot about a company. As new features are released you want to see the early supporters rewarded. It would also be nice to see recurring posts as an option or a way for people to be able to store social media content to quickly re-use.

We've solved no business problems. Frankly, we're spending way too much time trying to figure out what is correct and what is not. I'm not sure we'll stay with Sprout even another month. We're looking now.

Pros

Nice design. Nice people to talk with. But the product itself - i.e., the data and analytics - just isn't good. Maybe the posting/publishing functionality is good, but our people abandoned that immediately and went back to posting directly to the channel. The competitor feature is good.

Cons

Just about everything else. The data is often inconsistent and incorrect. They will tell you that they're just tapping the APIs, which is a nice way of pointing the finger, but it's also telling us we may as well just go straight to the source and bypass these problems. We're spending way too much time cross-checking the data we get from Sprout, which really means we're the dummies for bothering with this in the first place.

Decent but I don't think it's worth as much as it costs - I still go to my social sites often to post or find tags, hashtags, etc. Would like to be able to use it as a planning mechanism as well rather than just a posting feature

Pros

Easy to pre-post and duplicate posts, love the reporting aspect and flexibility, and blogs are useful

Cons

Cannot tag FB users, cannot use as a planning calendar easily, content finders aren't as effective, twitter hashtags don't come up with what is popularly used, twitter tags do not prioritize twitters you follow, cannot post within a group on FB

The software lets me publish and see basic social metrics

Cons

Why do I have click to open a page and then click to open the schedule, click to open the time to schedule, click to add the social account, deselect social account. Click to open every little thing instead of it prepopulating on the page. It's honestly so dysfunctional the way you have to navigate the site. I can't even click and drag posts on the calendar or delete queued messages from the calendar. I have to navigate to a different area entirely.

Sprout is a huge help in our day to day social listening, responding to messages, and scheduling out our content. It is a solid platform and gets the job done how we need and hope it to.

Pros

The price is very competitive and the package they offer within that plan has everything you could need in a social media platform.

Cons

I think there could be some improvements that cater to the shifting social landscape. More work with being able to post to Tik Tok for example. I also tend to schedule my Facebook boosted posts within the Facebook platform instead of Sprout, I think the overall experience for boosted posts could be improved upon.

Pros

This software helps streamline your social posting across all channels. You can cross-post, plan, and review analytics all in one dashboard.

Cons

With Instagram posts, you can schedule them in the software, but still have to log in to Instagram to make it publish.

I've used Sprout Social at three different company's now. I try other less expensive platforms but always seem to come back to this one. The smart inbox is a large reason why, but it also just seems to be the most robust and easiest to navigate of all the social tools available.

Pros

My favorite feature by far is the smart inbox. I also appreciate the calendar and how easy it is to schedule posts. Being able to coordinate tasks between users and integrate with help desk software is also incredibly helpful.

Cons

I wish I had the ability to customize posts for individual platforms without having to duplicate the post, though it's really a pretty minor inconvenience and there are benefits to keeping them separate, too. It would be nice if they offered a wider variety of help desk software integration, too.

Have tried many social management platforms, Sprout is one of the best! My favorite feature is the inbox where you can track all engagements from​ all channels and assign them to other team members (if you have that plan).

Cons

It's very expensive. I know it has a lot of great features, but compared to other platforms ... it is very, very pricey.

Everyone I've spoken to at Sprout has been fantastic. In another year or so once they've really fine-tuned their entire product, it will be one of the best.

Pros

Ease of use - the inbox is extremely easy for care reps to digest, especially if they've never used social tools in the past. Support - Sprout's support team is on top of any issue. I always received a prompt response from their support team. Innovation - Sprout was always at the forefront of new social updates - for example, they are one of the only engagement tools to offer a built in chat bot.

Cons

Lack of integration - Sprout doesn't integrate with many other products, specifically listening tools. Social listening - While they are developing their own listening tool suite, they are going to be behind industry leaders for some time yet.

Pros

Sprout social makes scheduling social media posts really easy, and the cost is pretty low per user account.

Cons

Reports cannot be customized (at least not with standard subscriptions) and they are VERY slow to update emojis which makes it difficult to align posts across platforms.

Pros

Great way to organize content. Excellent reports and access to data. Makes scheduling content for months at a time a complete breeze.

Cons

Signs out of accounts randomly, does not do a very good job with custom preview media. An absolute pain to find content from other users.

My experience with sprout social has been positive. I used it successfully in social listening activity for a high-budget project.

Pros

It is a comprehensive suite of tools for all-around social management. it is definitely the most powerful tool I have used for social network scheduling, management and analysis. The interface is neat and clear, and the support team is always available for any questions or needs.

Cons

everything has a cost, even sports social has a cost.... and it's not low. sprout is a rather high price and is unlikely to be affordable for freelancers or small marketing agencies. This precludes a good chunk of users from having access to great tools.

Platform is good and easy to use. Reporting is good as well. It could be better by working on its customer service and being proactive with bugs and ensuring customers are always notified of posts not going out or issues.

Pros

Reporting is wonderful. Can get lots of info based on platform and it’s great to see the trends as well. Easy to schedule.

Cons

Bulk loading takes longer than scheduling manually. Need to make that faster. Also, the random account disconnects that happen without notification occur fairly often. Support is ok but not the greatest. Takes a long time to get resolution on issues and after an hour, you may not even get results.

Pros

Social media channels keep growing and growing. Having one clear place we can consistently use to see incoming engagement at one place has been amazing. Metrics to evaluate what's working and not working has been a critical tool for us as well to make adjustments for strategies.

Cons

The cost makes it difficult to utilize as many users as we would like. We'd greatly benefit from having multiple users, but cost has been a barrier.

Pros

We deployed Sprout to assist in some of the more taxing elements of managing social: listening, scheduling, analysis across platforms, and outsourcing. Sprout has fit the bill. By the way, if you haven't already checked out Landscape by Sprout Social, it's a great tool that is offered for free for re-sizing images across platforms.

Cons

Sprout is on the higher end of the market in terms of price, but considering the enterprise-grade features, and when considering the opportunity cost of our time saved, we are comfortable with the investment.

Good reporting. Helped give an overview to clients.

Pros

Access control and reporting are great and pretty easy to use The monitoring options are also well done. I also the calendar view.

Cons

While it's great to have the option to post across multiple platforms, it's not very practical as what you enter doesn't display the same way on all social channels. And, not that it's Sprout's fault, but not being able to actually post to Instagram makes the scheduling part less reliable. I often found it easier to just go post things directly on customer accounts.
