Much better than Hootsuite!

Pros

Spout Social is the easiest social media post scheduler out there. It's simple and organized and works great for teams, especially the approval feature for content.

Cons

The mobile app was glitchy and did not allow saving edits to scheduled posts.

So many! Efficiency, cost savings and better reporting! It saved me lots of time and was easy to train other associates.

Pros

Ease of use, great reporting and visually appealing. The tool is very user friendly and easy to learn. There are so many features that make Sprout Social stand out amongst the competition, like the search features for influence research/social listening, the reporting and easy scheduling.

Cons

I really didn't not like anything about the tool. Everything from set up to daily use was easy. My future recommendations would be adding tags to report by theme, implementing a customer care feature for agents and more social listening features.

### "Best All Inclusive Social Media Tool"

I handle 35+ accounts for different industry segments that will often be running similar campaigns. Being able to put everything under one umbrella and see reporting that matches makes my job much easier so I can focus on strategy rather than busywork.

Pros

The reporting tools are unlike anything else on the market with the ability to set-up a report and have it run weekly, monthly, etc. Tagging so you can watch things campaign specifically while connecting to google analytics. Instagram scheduling is a godsend for when you are handling multiple accounts or at an event, or it's a weekend - all you have to do is copy/paste and send! Bulk uploading has saved me hours of time. The ability to stop duplicate posts.

Cons

No real cons. Just some wishes! Wish 1. Allow tagging of individuals on Linkedin Company posts. We work with a few influencers and they all have to be set-up manually rather than scheduled. Wish 2. Make Instagram scheduling as the other accounts - set it and forget it. Wish 3. As I work with international accounts, I wish there was a language option to add translations for people viewing in other languages. I understand this would be a rather large undertaking.

Pros

Although expensive for a start up Sprout Social has become the social engagement platform of choice for our business. We love the simplicity of the unified inbox. Wouldn't want to deal with a barrage of inbox streams that some competitive platforms put out there. Great customer service and a good set of tools.

Cons

Missing some additional integrations such as YouTube and Pinterest. Also, analytics could be a bit better. In the end, not enough to not love this platform.

Overall I highly recommend Sprout Social. If you're an agency or freelancer, this software will help you up your game.

Pros

If you're looking for a fully functional, all-in-one social media software, Sprout Social is the way to go! Not only do you have a scheduler, but you also have an engagement tab, and extremely robust analytics reporting.

Cons

It's pretty expensive to scale up. The base package is just slightly above competitors, but as you scale, it gets pretty pricey. However, it's worth the cost!

it was a good platform to manage all social content for multiple clients

Pros

i liked that it created a seamless process to post and manage all social media content. when working with multiple clients, having everything in one platform makes it easy to keep track of. i also liked the analytics portion and how you could download reports right from the dashboard.

Cons

the program was a bit glitchy. there were multiple times where the program would shut down or be closed for maintenance.

Pros

Sprout Social is the best of the social media management platforms that I've used, and I've used a lot. The interface is minimalist and user-friendly, but still capable of handling virtually any consumer need. Social media is all about communication and, in my opinion, communication should be simple. It should come naturally and it shouldn't feel forced. Sprout Social doesn't get bogged down in the industry jargon and it doesn't overwhelm you with the analytics. It feels like it's designed for someone who wants to communicate with costumers but isn't necessarily savvy in online marketing...and that's a good thing.

Cons

Certain social media channels curb back the exposure and engagement level of posts set up through platforms such as Sprout Social. That's not the software's fault, but it is an unfortunate occurrence that is worth noting.

Pros

Sprout is one of the best social media tools I've used. I've taken it with me to every company I've worked at and the features just keep getting better. The reporting is exactly what I need, I love that it integrates with Feedly, the inbox is useful for daily management... I could go on and on. Plus, it's incredibly cost effective.

Cons

The only thing I wish it had was the ability to stock a library of social posts. But there are workarounds for that.

We use it for the management of multiple social media accounts.

Pros

My organization, like many, has a lot of social accounts to manage. Rather than creating unique content for each, we like to share the same message on multiple platforms. Sprout Social allows us to stretch our content further and saves us the time of having to log into each service to do it. It helps format, schedule, and publish in a seamless way.

Cons

It's kind of expensive. There are other free options out there, like Hootsuite, that do similar work, but I believe Sprout Social provides a premium experience.

Pros

Sprout Social is incredibly intuitive which helps working cross functionally with customer service, product management, and other departments. The reporting is in-depth and easy to export. But overall, it helps you have a wholistic view of your social strategy and how you are performing.

Cons

I don't really have any cons to list, there are bugs at times but the support team is always amazing and gets things back on track quickly.

Simple yet detailed, good value, good support

Pros

It's very easy to use with a user-friendly and 'pretty' interface. The reporting is extremely detailed and it's handy to have the app. The customer support (events and webinars) are also great

Cons

It's impossible to fully keep up with social media's ever-changing functions and algorithms, but I am starting to feel held back by the lack of paid integration that I know is due to arrive soon

I finf Sprout good for people that wants to start measuring their cross-social media campaigns. Its a great tool to understand the main KPIs of your publications so that you can start acting upon them. I had a particular issue and the support was fast bast not efficient. I was looking for a short good answer, all that I got was a meeting proposal to see if we could solve it there.

Pros

Integration with most known social medias. Simple reports to understand main KPIs Great publishing tools. Fast customer support answer (but not the best answer) One month free trial Great for beginners on social media

Cons

Lack of good answers from support. I had a lot of problems integrating some instagram profiles to the platform. It has a lot of information on their screens, so it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for.

Pros

Sprout social saved my work life! As a marketing director, i also handle customer inquiries, but couldn't get the info to customer service fast enough to be handled in a timely manner. Sprout Social put this all together and I can easily share it.

Cons

Nothing- easy to set up, nice people, easy to demo and jump right in and use.

Pros

So, so, so easy to use. Keeps your content laid out beautifully and allows you to run really basic reports that allow you to get high level numbers - definitely don't recommend this being the only reporting software that you use, but it's great for high level reporting. Love that you can also schedule content - managing 13 clients social media was difficult, but it was SO easy to toggle between all 13 of them.

Cons

Sometimes uploading a photo attached to a post is a pain - it looks like it uploads but it doesn't, making you have to go back and re-upload. I think it was related to me using Safari - but still frustrating. Nonetheless, this software is still great and there are no deal breakers I can think of!

Pros

The ease of navigation and publishing, I like the added feature of optimal send times, and that Pinterest is now added.

Cons

Recently, we have been having trouble with photos from links not populating in the photo field when already published causing us to have to go directly into the platforms and edit/correct or add again when we realize this, because it appears to be there when we are publishing. Very time consuming. Also, we have been having issues with photos being cut off when they are published on the platforms, but seem normal when we use the eye tool to check. We always have to re-size photos elsewhere because the editing tool is insufficient, especially with regard to Twitter and LinkedIn. Before, we could use the normal FB size photo for all and be done, but as of May 2018, not the case. Also, we are having problems with notifications. When someone leaves a comment in the approval section, and you respond, the original sender does not get notification that you have responded via email, they have to manually check the software. Also, the fact we are unable to tag as before, but that's a FB privacy issue.

Overall experience was satisfactory, if you are looking for a platform to schedule social media posts then sprout social is great. If you are looking for a more robust platform for a larger team or deeper insights, it might not be the platform for you.

Pros

The user experience was great, easy to navigate, support was immediate and constantly in communication about new features.

Cons

Lacking ways to duplicate posts across multiple platforms. We had to pay per user, which can get pricey if you are a larger team. Analytics were not so robust and were not unique to each post link if it was posted multiple times.

Pros

It makes scheduling social media a breeze. Now that they have been bought by Meltwater, their data is combined with theirs which makes for a powerful product. Social listening is also a great feature and makes keeping track of social media mentions a one stop shop!

Cons

This is not on them, but the API's between SS and all social media sites are being restricted, which means a degradation in service. For example, when posting on Facebook through Sprout Social, I cannot tag anyone. I have to manually go and do that after the fact.

I appreciate the quick response to problems I have. Also your blog is top notch.

Pros

In concept, I really enjoy the publishing feature that assigns certain posts on certain days and hours. However, there are a LOT of tiny things that can be fixed which reduces the overall value of this feature. The "ideal times to post" is a great feature but I've noticed that some "high peak" times do not garner the results I expected.

Cons

The LinkedIn post feature is pretty limited. I CONSTANTLY get error messages that the app cannot tag names. Also, I cannot tag individual people within the app (OnLinkedin), so I have to "assign post" in order for the final post to have the names I want tagged, OR edit the post after it's published. Huge no-no. Again, this defeats the purpose of the app, as it's more hands-on than I want it to be. The same with Instagram. I haaate that I have to assign a post if it's multiple images. The reason I wanted this app was to be as hands-off as possible. I understand that it may be a Facebook/Instagram issue, but it's just annoying. Also, the emoji list has yet to be updated, even after various suggestions to update. I end up having to use my "emoji keyboard" to insert the missing emoji's in your app, which defeats the purpose of a social media app.

Pros

Having a single platform to properly manage Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram is vital when managing a social network. Sprout Social's interface makes that easy. Even better is the way it enables social interaction through comment responses.

Cons

The closest I can come to negatives is cost (it would be nice if it were cheaper per user account) and its limited integration with Instagram (which is more a negative for Instagram's API than anything else).
