We have been using Sprout for the past couple years to manage many of the organization's social media profiles. It is one of two SMM services that we subscribe to, and our team that uses it could not be more thrilled. The customer support is accessible and the account reps are a dream to deal with.

Pros

Half of our social media management team uses Sprout as their preferred social network, for its ease of scheduling and accessible interface. Their suite of reporting tools offer an in-depth analysis on your data.

Cons

The ability to cross measure posts against competitor pages, or compare growth across channels and against other profiles.

Pros

Sprout's integration with all the various social media platforms is incredible. The reporting features, analytics, and the surprisingly great image editor are all things you'd expect from premium software, but Sprout Social offers it at an extremely competitive price. I absolutely love the versatility of its reporting features. You really do have everything placed in front of you and you don't need to go chasing down any numbers. I love it. Hands down my favorite social media analytics and management platform.

Cons

I wish I could give this five stars. It's so nearly close, but the absurd choice to lock a few vital features behind the top price tier is super dumb. And it's not a small price increase. Smaller business aren't going to want to take the plunge.

The analytics and reporting is easy to use and understand. I like the photo editing options in the program as well

Cons

I have tried to set up auto scheduling for insta on the web app and it won't work. I also wish there was a planning feature. A place where I can create a mock month that I can send to another person on my team to review and approve. Once it's reviewed and approved, then it is set to auto schedule. As great as the analytics and reporting is, when pulling data for a video, it is incorrect numbers. Twitter numbers are also sometimes incorrect in terms of clicks.

### "Amazing Social Platform Software for Businesses!"

Once we got everything set up and the team on board it was a great tool that saved a lot of time and stress for the social media team. Everyone was able to log in and do their jobs and get things done early and efficient. The big part was the planning ahead and creating posts and scheduling them for a later date. This was big because we were able to really dive into the data and analytics and change things depending on the trends we saw in the company. So every week we were making changes to times posted and different things like that. So you didn't have to wait until the end of the month and change things, it was a weekly if not daily occurrence. Great platform to use!

It took me a little while to get this set up with the company I was working with. Not that the software was hard to use but just getting everything set up and accounts in there, then teaching everyone how to use the platform and use it effectively. So a little bit of a learning curve. Also in that time I had an account rep constantly e-mailing and trying to get a hold of me, which is fine, but it was a little too much.

Pros

Sprout Social is incredibly easy to use. It's intuitive, simple, and sleek. Customer Service here is incredible. An industry leader, I would say. Responses are quick, and they really take care of you. Especially within their Partner Program, which I would have to say is the best part about being with Sprout Social.

Cons

Sprout is still relatively new. They've been around for a minute, but they are still working out all the kinks. Social Media API's are always changing and evolving and restricting so sometimes platforms are disconnected or not publishing content, but that's just the nature of the beast. The only way anyone could get around this is to post all content manually, native to each platform and no one has time for that anymore.

I like Sprout and am happy with the service they provide. It helps me do my job, which is invaluable as a team of 1.

Pros

I like that I can schedule out my social media posts in Sprout. That is helpful to do since I am a team of 1. It let's me figure out my social media strategy each week and just crank it out over a short time rather than have to deal with it each day.

Cons

I'd like to have the option to tag people by individual name in LinkedIn via Sprout, but it only lets me find company names. I also find it hard to tag the right person in Facebook via Sprout because it bases it on my location, but I work remotely).

Allows us to carry out day to day running of social media interactions from 9am - 9pm 7 days a week, with minimal to no interruption. Fantastic support team and excellent reporting facilities.

Pros

Sprout seamlessly allows you to control and monitor social media interactions within one feed, for a huge amount of pages and still allows it to be tangible. Not only that, but the reporting on offer is second to none, providing clients with real time data on how their social campaign is performing.

Cons

Like all big social media management software platforms, there's an occasional glitch (to be expected in my opinion, given the magnitude of data they're working with), but given how robust and responsive the support is from Sprout, the issue is clearly communicated and often solved quickly.

The business problems we are solving with sprout is the scheduling and planning ahead in time.

Pros

We use sprout as our main social media management platform and social media listening software. It's great to get all the social media insights from various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and son on. We also usually schedule all of our social media content on sprout to go out automatically. It's great for data collection as well.

Cons

My only con which I have with sprout, is that it has some limitations for social listening and scheduling. We have a hard time scheduling instagram content.

Easy to schedule posts, cool upgrades for tracking & analytics. User experience is great

Cons

No snapchat or Tiktok integration. Also, its really expensive if you have multiple social channels. Reasonable price for 10 channels but since each FB, insta, twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest etc counts as 1 channel, 10 goes fast. Also, Insta & FB are owned by same company and you can push your insta post to FB automatically so why do each count as a channel against your 10? We have 3 brands so that means I would have to pay for 18 channels (6 for each) with insta, twitter, FB, GMB, LinkedIn, Pinterest, that pricing gets crazy.

Cons

The smart inbox doesn't allow for managing YouTube comments. It's also quite costly to have 20+ pages connected

I use Sprout to schedule social media posts across twitter and facebook. I like being able to repeat posts by scheduling them multiple times. I love the queue feature as well as the publishing calendar. Overall I am very happy with Sprout - I only have feedback about what's missing because I like it enough to want it to be my only tool!

Pros

I love being able to queue my posts to fill in down times in my content strategy.

Cons

I wish there was an ability to create a planning calendar - not like the posting schedule, but something that let me outline which days I was going to do which type of post. For example, long-form posts -- and then spread them out throughout the month. Then i could create & schedule actual posts based on the calendar/strategy. I also seem to have an impossible time connecting our business instagram page and every time I seek help, I am led back to the same article that doesn't seem to help.

Sprout Social is the best solution I've found for managing all social media platforms from one site, including LinkedIn

Cons

It could be easier to respond to social media comments. For example, you can't "reply" to a comment, you can only add an additional comment on Facebook.

Pros

I've used almost every major social media publishing tool out there and this one is my favorite by far. I love the best times to post feature and the "schedule and duplicate" button to eliminate having to retype/reupload the same post when posting across multiple sites. It also integrates with bit.ly which is great for link tracking. It's very user friendly and has so many features that I can't even think of them all! It's a great tool.

Cons

This is more of an API functionality, but Instagram posting is not the easiest because it doesn't schedule it out. It only sends a push notification with the post and then the user still has to manually post from their phone. There are other social management softwares that schedule directly to Instagram so I wish Sprout would get on top of this.

Sprout Social offers social media scheduling functionality, including timing, drafts, responses, canned response, retweeting, etc., for multiple platforms and multiple accounts. It offers detailed analytics, demographics, and more, with fully customizable time frames. Sprout Social also offers easy, communicative, and helpful customer support, in the rare case of issues or concerns.

Cons

I don't always trust Sprout Social's analytics, which sometimes differ from Facebook's and Twitter's internal analytics reporting.

My favourite thing about Sprout is they are always on top of the latest changes and APIs in the social world and constantly making valuable product updates. On top of that, they have great customer service, an excellent mobile app for monitoring and publishing on the move, and great reports to show off our team's responsiveness and post engagements.

Cons

No real issues at all. I've had the odd feature suggestion and many of these when shared with our Sprout account rep have been added to the roadmap, so very pleased.

Saves tons of time by having all notifications for all social platforms in one place, saves even more time by letting you respond to them as needed directly from Sprout, helps me stay organized by allowing me to archive completed notifications, scheduling for all platforms and a hybrid scheduling option for Instagram (which is amazing), intuitive analytic reports that are easy to read and understand

Pros

Smart Inbox: this is the best feature I have come across in social monitoring platform. You choose what results you want to see and it shows you all of them from every platform you choosing in one convenient space, and allows you to respond to any comments/messages, follow back, like, delete, etc. without leaving Sprout's website. I have never had a notification slip through the cracks and it helps immensely with interacting with people on multiple channels

Cons

They are a little slow on offering features to utilize updates on social media platforms. They almost always eventually add features, but a nice compromise would be to put out an article or email saying "we know about the update, here's what you need to know, we're working on implementing it on our platform".

Apart from managing various social media platforms from one place, it also doubles up as a CRM tool. You can chose the customer segment to which you want your posts to be targeted at and can also suggest times at which a post should be done on various platforms to have maximum coverage.

Cons

Video platforms are become increasingly popular as a social platform and these have been ignored by Sprout Social. Scheduling posts is not that custom and flexible and CRM feature lacks few basic capabilities.

Pros

Sprout Social is arguably the most intuitive dashboard for social media monitoring. Great capabilities to export reports and evaluate the success of your social media channels in real time.

Cons

As Facebook has tightened restrictions on third-party platforms, some of the monitoring capabilities have decreased over time. Of course, this is not Sprout's fault. Also, there is a slight delay in posts/comments being pushed to the messages feed.

Analytics and reports are graphically appealing and easy to distribute to higher-ups. Scheduling posts across all channels is also extremely easy to execute. They also have customer service support available at any time which is very convenient for quick inquiries.

The social listening tool costs extra but if you have the ability to purchase it, GO FOR IT! I have full trust in SproutSocial as they have made it extremely easy for me to highlight the progress and work I do on a daily basis.

They've literally gotten this down to the least amount of clicks and mental energy I need to expend to approve social media posts.

Pros

I'm the social media approver and occasional scheduler for my organization, and I prefer Sprout to any of the other tools we tried. The user interface highlights the things I need and downplays the things I don't. It just works, and there's virtually no learning curve. They must've invested a lot creating a terrific UI/UX because you don't notice it -- it's just easy to do your job with the least possible actions and no distractions. My favorite feature is that any approval email I get takes me to a page with all the outstanding approvals -- when we used another platform without this feature, I sometimes forgot to approve a post.

Cons

A very tiny downside: When I modify a post and save it, it drops to the bottom of the publishing queue so I have to remember that I already checked the text. This is typically one minute later after I've approved the other posts, or I could just scroll the bottom to find it. It's possible I'm just doing this wrong.

### "A Killer Deal Needing A Few Tweaks"

Overall, the software is a killer deal and easy to pick up and use. I do feel like there's more I can be doing with the software than I currently am, but it's hard for me to know what all is in there.

Pros

I work for a non-profit, so this software is a great value for the features it offers. It is fairly intuitive and easy to pick up quickly. I like the calendar view, and I like being able to comment on posts that are being drafted to communicate with my coworkers.

Cons

There are a few weird quirks it would be great to fix, if possible. Having to manually post the multi-picture instagrams leaves a larger margin for human error (I realize this is mostly instagrams fault, but is a consistent issue I have). While I love being able to message my coworkers in sprout, the notification feature for this could use some improvement. Instead of spamming inboxes (why do I get an email when I make a comment..?), it would be great to have red notification flags within the software (I use a desktop, maybe this is available on the app?), so anytime my coworkers log in they can see it. I also find it frustrating that I need to constantly refresh in order to see the most up to date calendar/drafts. We have many marketing team members, so being able to have it auto refresh would be helpful in keeping up with what is most up to date. I wish I was able to send comments when I send a post for approval (ie. Need to add a picture, should we schedule this for xx date, I'm having trouble with this sentence, how would you phrase it, etc), since the notifications on post comments isn't great and my manager doesn't always see them. Lastly, the desktop version has an outdated emoji keyboard available - would love to see it offer all the emojis you can get on your phone.

Pros

I've used Sprout Social on and off for many years. It's fantastic to use (a really great UI) and it performs very well too - so many useful features. From scheduling to reporting, social listening to chatbots, Sprout Social has it all. It's been growing as a tool over the years and they've been refining the key aspects (such as user permissions, approval processing, reporting and social listening) to the point where it's a brilliant tool. Their recently added features such as advanced listening and chatbots have put it in a whole new league.

Cons

Whilst the pricing is fair, it does get expensive once you start adding multiple users (as the pricing stated on their website is per user). Some of the features that are available for higher pricing packages would be nice to explore as a smaller user but it's understandable that some features are enterprise level.

Pros

Being able to schedule posts and select various target audiences, time zones, etc. helped make our social media strategy much more sophisticated. It was also very easy to schedule out the same post across various platforms so that you were touching as many users as possible.

Cons

For awhile it seemed to be a little glitchy, and I would have to re-write a post after it was lost during a "save" process. Otherwise, I've been very happy with how the product has developed over time.
