### "Sprout Will Superpower Your Social"

February 22, 2026

5.0

Overall using Sprout has been a huge boost to our social strategy, both paid and organic. Being able to operate all of our social channels in one platform helps save time and allows for better collaboration across the social team. I would highly recommend using Sprout Social if you're looking for a new social media management tool.

Pros

Our organization operates nearly a dozen main social handles and multiple sub-brands, Sprout Social has made it incredibly easy to manage all of our social handles across several platforms. The reporting tools are top tier and it is incredibly simple to generate visually appealing reports, especially for paid campaigns. Having switched over from another provider the learning curve was quite simple as the user interface is intuitive. It won't take long to master Sprout Social.

Cons

The only caveat with Sprout and other providers is that it can get quite expensive if you require several user licenses and have a large number of social handles. The features are worth the money, but it is important to consider how many user licenses you will need to adequately support your organization.

### "We love it! Great product! "

September 16, 2025

5.0

It's been very positive and I think we'll be with Sprout Social for a while provided the value continues and the features improve over time as the industry adapts.

Pros

They make it easy to see our entire inbox and messages we have. We're also able to respond directly to messages and comments from Sprout Social. IT's easy to use and set up, as well as schedule posts in advance for easy publishing. We feel confident in it's security and have never had an issue or bug that has needed to be worked out. The vaue we're getting is great and they're willing to customize your plan based on what you need.

Cons

There are a lot of features to learn and sometimes it can feel a bit overwhelming to try and use all of them. It's a very robust product.

### "Outdated - doing less, charging more, terrible contracts"

January 13, 2025

1.0

Outdated provider with cut back support staff but charging more for less. They are no longer leaders in the space, look at the newer options - they offer better features and value for dollars. Sprout got rid of our account manager and AU support teams, without telling us - we've been ghosted since before our contract was due to auto renew. So any questions around whether our plan was still the right level, if we needed the extras we were upsold, went unanswered. Despite breaching contract and taking away the local rep (which was the selling point) - they're refusing to terminate the contract until rollover time again. So obtuse, despite years of taking our money, so now lawyers are getting called in.

Pros

They are relatively easy to use with some handy in built reports

Cons

Cut back support staff - got rid of our account manager and AU support teams, without telling us Auto renew annual contracts and despite us trying to contact our rep to review our needs and being ghosted, they refused to revisit this They are no longer leaders in the space, look at the newer options - they offer better features and value for dollars

Switched from

[Loomly](https://www.capterra.com/p/166498/Loomly/)

Our social media manager had used Sprout before and wanted to use it again for familiarity. Regret switching and not looking at alternatives - Sprout are far less value for money and slower to jump on social media platform updates than Loomly.

### "A simple solution to replace a social media manager"

March 26, 2026

4.0

I tried a bunch of social content schedulers to find what would work best for my business. Sprout Social was simple and easy, and worked great. If you are replacing a real person, want good analytics to check performance, so you can do more fo that, then this might be a good option for you.

Pros

The drop and drag editor makes scheduling content across multiple social media platforms simple and easy. The analytics are top notch.

Cons

It is an expensive version of a simple software. Even though it's cheaper than hiring a PA or VA to do the same work, it is still more expensive than competitors.

### "Not very good. See comments."

February 1, 2025

1.0

They need to focus on being great at one thing instead of trying to do everything. It was quite hard to get anything done in Sprout Social, and when it was setup - the results were disappointing.

Pros

There really wasn't much to like. I was told to test this on behalf of a client, and I will be recommending future clients to pass on them. It's much harder to use than HootSuite and Buffer for managing social media. Then when it comes to social listening, it's very complex and not very helpful once it's setup properly either.

Cons

They're trying to be an everything platform, and they're not especially great at anything. They're not the best at managing multiple channels or social listening. It's also expensive for being average at both of those core things.

My client wanted to see if Sprout Social was better than a combination of BuzzSumo or SEM Rush + Hootsuite or Buffer. My conclusion was that it is not. My testing did not go beyond the free trial as the other tools are much more superior than SproutSocial.

### "There’s no way any of these 5 star reviews are genuine"

October 24, 2024

1.0

If you’re an agency that is looking to destroy your bottom line, pass on expensive unnecessary costs to your clients and be locked in to a service that cares about nothing except squeezing every dime out of your business, Sprout Social is definitely the social media management platform for you!

Pros

The pros? I suppose the posting workflow is good, as good as other platforms that are 10% of the cost. A lot of the “features” that I was promised when they locked me into a year contract with high pressure sales ended up being features that either don’t work very well or are actually kept behind massive pay walls. You’ll have to remortgage your house to get the full functionality out of Sprout.

Cons

Where do I even start. 1. To send approval requests to clients, you have to add them as an additional user… EVERY SINGLE additional user is a $499 PER MONTH. I was promised that external approved were free, so sending approval requests to clients would not cost extra, they never mentioned that you’re only allowed 3 external approved for THE ENTIRE ACCOUNT. They pressured me into signing a contract and sold me a bunch of lies. I don’t even find the platform very intuitive. Not only that I find the features are lackluster, I have used other platforms that are a fraction of the cost with a more intuitive UI and pretty much the same features.

### "Helps me keep on top of customer messages."

July 14, 2025

4.0

We used to miss questions customers were asking in the comments on posts because they were in so many different places. Today, I capture all of them in a single dashboard and respond more quickly and having the ability to do that makes a meaningful difference in how our clients perceive us.

Pros

I like that all of our social stuff comes in to one place. It prevents me from having to log in and out of separate accounts just to respond to comments or DMs. The tagging system also comes in handy to help us keep track on who on the team worked on what.

Cons

It can be a little overwhelming to get started, especially the analytics portion. It took me a week to feel comfortable and I’m still puzzled by some filters.

### "A Great Social Scheduling Tool"

December 2, 2022

4.0

Pros

A very easy-to-use and understand social scheduling platform that is perfect for beginners and experienced social gurus. Provides excellent insights and analytics to help improve social growth and understanding of how certain posts are performing. Very simple to manage multiple social profiles at once, which is essential for any social media management business.

Cons

The place that has the most room for improvement is the posting aspects. Many times I have scheduled posts that have not gone live, which leads to double handling when scheduling the posts in Sprout Social, and then having to post ad-hoc when Sprout doesn't send the post live.

### "The Best Social Media Scheduling Platform Hands Down"

October 2, 2019

5.0

We love Sprout Social and highly recommend it to others. We've used other scheduling platforms, and nothing has come close to being able to handle our needs the way Sprout Social can.

Pros

Our team has used a variety of social media scheduling platforms, including Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and others, and Sprout Social is by far our favorite for many reasons. • As an agency with hundreds of profiles, Sprout Social makes multiple account management a breeze. • The scheduling browser is very easy to use. • It offers ideal posting times to help you optimize reach and engagement. • It offers a birdseye view of the month. (One of our pain points with Hootsuite was that this was not an option.) There are also many features that those who work with social media every day can appreciate that the average user might not, such as: • The option to schedule and create a new post without having to click into a new window each time. • The ability to download reports by platform and specific date easily and quickly. • The option to view data which allows you to see which content is performing the best.

Cons

I won't beat around the bush. It's pricey. Very pricey. If you're a freelancer or not using social media daily, it may not be worth the investment. If you're an agency working with multiple clients or if social media is part of your daily routine, a scheduling software that offers everything Sprout Social offers is well worth it.

### " It enables us to control our social media accounts and manage interactions efficiently"

April 17, 2023

5.0

Thanks to its robust suite of features and tools, Sprout Social has facilitated the streamlining of our posting processes, as well as the management of follower interactions across numerous social media platforms. Additionally, it enables us to monitor comments, collect data, and access advanced analytics that aid in evaluating our success.

Pros

I appreciate how Sprout Social consolidates numerous services into one platform, allowing us to easily manage all social media responses and inquiries. The ability to create sub-boxes and categorize them based on topics and events helps us better comprehend customer feedback and inquiries. Additionally, Sprout Social streamlines social media management by providing collaboration tools that allow us to easily seek feedback and approval from admins before publishing. The scheduling feature also enables us to plan posts across multiple platforms in advance. The listening feature is also useful in providing us with valuable news and data on a wide range of topics. Furthermore, Sprout Social allows us to capture and organize important data, which can be displayed in a structured manner through its reporting capabilities.

Cons

The limitations of Sprout Social are relatively minor in my experience. Occasionally, the alert system may not function properly, resulting in delayed notifications that can hinder the promptness of necessary actions, particularly if the alert pertains to a publishing failure on one of the platforms.

### "Best customer service in this category, hands down. Big win with launch of listening product. "

November 29, 2017

5.0

People seek out social media software primarily for automation. But that doesn't solve the workflow and analytics issues that social media and community managers face. Sprout enables us to load content and art into the automation platform as drafts, submit for approval and then automate posting. We also need a competitive edge as an agency, and using this software with the ability to provide more robust analytics than what is provided in the native platforms is a huge win. The biggest improvement we've seen to social media tools in general came from the launch of the social listening tool. However, the pricing model is hindering us from being able to use it. Big bummer. And it can be fixed. We hope you will consider applying the agency model pricing structure that exists for all other functionalities to this particular function. It's essential for us to be able to incorporate it into our new biz process and the current cost structure is preventing us from doing so. Please help!

Pros

The agency model sold us. Big win to invite larger groups rather than paying by the "seat" as previous models and other services demand. The approval process and analytics go beyond what is available in the native platforms which is essential for business use. The social listening is what we've been waiting for--and will be instrumental in our relationship moving forward. With that said, there is a caveat, listed below.

Cons

The social listening is amazing. However, the sales model is seriously flawed. Our clients will not pay every month for each social listener. Moreover, our agency needs to use this as a way to earn new business. We have many pitches in process at any time and it's not feasible for us to pay every month per listener. As such, this amazing service is not available to us on the scale it needs to be. Please come up with a better pricing model so we can use and sell this service. As it stands now, only the really big agencies will be able to afford it. You need the mid-sized agencies like us (about 50 employees). Just like the agency model sold us by not having to pay by the seat, we can't pay per listener. If you made that available to us, say 3 listeners per client in our agency model, that would be a win. It would limit the number so you could up-sell in those cases where big companies want to listen for a lot of different indicators, but it wouldn't prohibit the broader use of the tool for the masses--which will drive significant growth. Additionally, this is a huge differentiator for your business. If you make it out of reach for most clients, you loose your edge. Help us. Help yourselves. Give us this tool! And give it to us in a way that our clients will pay for it.

### "Brings part-efficiency and valuable insights into our social media management process."

February 14, 2023

4.0

One of the most important business problems we are solving with Sprout social , is the problem of automating how we share contents to our social media platforms. By using Sprout Social, we are able to gather valuable intelligence about our customers and utilize them to improve our overall social media strategy.

Pros

I love Sprout Social's listening feature. This tool allows us to eavesdrop on conversations the public is having about our brand on social media platforms. Being able to tap into these conversations helps us gather valuable intelligence and gain a better understanding of customer sentiments about our products and services.

Cons

One of the biggest drawbacks of Sprout Social is the difficulty I encounter when attempting to publish posts to multiple social media platforms with a single draft. For example, when composing and scheduling posts to our Twitter handle, the enforced word count limit of 280 characters makes it impossible to switch a draft post meant for our Instagram or Facebook pages to be posted on our Twitter handle. This limitation has forced us to compose separate drafts for each social media platform where we have a presence, making the process of sharing content to multiple social platforms very cumbersome.

### "Excellent platform to plan the publication of content on social networks and more"

September 1, 2022

5.0

Since its deployment, it has been great; it has allowed us to save time while maintaining the social networks administered by the company. The report generator has performed well, making it easy to schedule content publishing, track it in depth with little to no fuss, and increase decision-making in digital marketing.

Pros

Because of its usability, high level of intuitiveness in its user interface, integrated functions, and established metrics for reports, Sprout Social is well-liked in my organization when managing social networks and all the content intended for them. It is well-liked because it is one of the most comprehensive on the market. The solution is fantastic for small, medium-sized businesses and freelancers; it is outstanding and lacks complexity; it is simple to teach new users how to use; and it offers exceptional customer support.

Cons

There were only two aspects of Sprout Social that I didn't particularly like. The first was the price because it is so exorbitant. On the other hand, the support staff is slow to respond.

### "Nicer interface than Hootsuite"

April 25, 2019

5.0

It puts all our social media profiles in one place for the small businesses that we manage. We can run customized reports that show the analytics for single or multiple profiles to see which posts are the most engaging and our follower/friend counts. Replying to questions or messages is easy to do right in Sprout. It streamlines what would be a cumbersome process of monitoring profiles for about 15 profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You can also see the feeds of handles you follow to find and reply to posts on Twitter.

Pros

Sprout lets you add multiple profiles from multiple platforms and schedule social media posts at whatever times you want or using a queue with times set by you. The listening stream can be customized so that you can choose whatever profiles/hashtags you want to see at that time. You can reply, assign posts, forward posts, retweet, retweet with comments all from the news stream. It works well with Zapier for RSS automatic posting of blog posts also. We started using it about 7-8 years ago, and the price has not changed for us, so it's a very good value for our money. The dashboard is easy to use and has multiple types of views, like calendar, so you can see if you have a lot of messages bunched up and spread them out. Support is good and the Sprout All Stars Slack group is another souce of information. Over time features have changed because of changes to Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn, but Sprout has consistently improved the platform and added or revised features as needed. It's a great tool for small/medium businesses. You can mark messages as read/done to get them out of the stream.

Cons

Sometimes the software logs you out when no one else is trying to log in. It can also sometimes seem like a post has not been scheduled but when you refresh the page, it is there. It works better with Twitter than Facebook or LinkedIn, so if those are your main platforms you may want a different tool. I think the issue may be more with FB and LI changing their rules than Sprout.
