Took me a bit to learn how to use it but now it feels part of my routine. Pros I like that I can send professional looking invoices and it tells me when someone opened them. Pros If fully utilised Xero is a very powerful business tool that can encapsulate everything financial - from integrated stock systems and product costing, to sales tracking and customer management. Cons The dashboard can be a little cluttered together - in some instances you need to click through a few hyperlinks to get to where you want to go. Pros Xero offers excellent support resources and communicates regularly with customers, advising of product updates and features. Using Xero is easy and with the on-screen support Xero Central support feature, help is always at hand. Cons Xero is not scaled for manufacturing clients and lacks stock management capability. Larger clients may be looking for a more scalable solution with stock management and offline access. We liked being able to easily customize reports. Pros Easy, simple interface. No multi-layer menus or hard-to-find commands. Easy to find options and customize. Pros We used to use MYOB but found that Xero is much better in terms of the reporting and ease of use. Cons Inventory could be improved but it is really an accounting software so a very minor issue. Due to the bank feeds it is extremely easy to reconcile all transactions. Also you can do VAT submissions directly from the system which saves so much time. Year end submissions take so less time as everything is already ready to go at the end of the year. Pros The ease of use and the integration with all major banking system. Cons We are using Xero for nearly 15 of our companies. We would like to get bulk discount for being a loyal customer.
