Salaries are all paid as expected and we can manage the business effectively because of this platform. Pros As a Director within my business, XERO gives me realtime information that allows me to manage the expectations of our shareholders using the accounting programme within XERO accounting reports. Cons The API feed to the banking page can often be slow and doesn't accurately show the latest figures. But as far as a quick glance goes this is an adequate tool. Pros I love how easy it is to manage my accounts using Xero and also how easy it is to link the accounts with my accountant for further processing. Cons The monthly usage fee is a little high but I think it is still great value for money. It takes the stress of my workload and its just so seamless. Also my accountant gets all the information from one place so it makes filling out my SA Assessment returns so much easier. Pros As a small business owner who has never used xero before, i like the features it provides. I like how you can connect your bank statements to xero which makes reconciling transactions easier. Its seamless and you dont have to manually go in and pull the transactions across. Also i love how you take a photo of your receipt and input that into xero. Cons Nothing really, I like all features. Xero has exceeded every expectation I had for an affordable accounting software. It is so easy to use, the customer support is open late. I once submitted a ticket late at night and got a call within 10 minutes. The reporting is awesome and I love looking at our Profit and loss. Invoicing is made simple for everyone involved in all departments involved. Cons Sometimes I need to wait for a while before my authentication code comes through, delaying my login. I would love to see invoices and quotes segmented by product Cons If I edit my chart of accounts, it does not update my transactions. So I have to find and recode, but I am unable to do that if I use the auto tax. Dont get locked out of your own business software Pros I like the software, it offers just about everything youd need to keep your financials in order and even offers end of year reports for the irs ( very important) and keeps you alerted on your quaterly tax payment schedule, among other thing. You can link your bank and reconcile your spendatures and tuck each transaction into its proper tax-non tax catagory, plus other deductions such as depreciation of your vehicles for tax writeoffs, and many more... Cons .however. the quoted price on the promotion was way far from the price i was charged for this product. Also i missed my payment by two days and all my information, everything i had documented, reconciled, entered, invoices, reports, EVERYTHING was being held for ransome and untouchable till i paid my inflated price. Its was an eye opener. When running a business, be careful what product you choose, for me. I cant be locked out of my accounting software for any length of time when it comes to my business. Just food for thought. I know zoho has been the best alternative app for free even. And it offers the same services xero does for half the price. No gemics Alternatives considered [Zoho Invoice](https://www.capterra.com/p/163114/Zoho-Invoice/) Reason for choosing Xero I did at first but choose zoho instead.
