Pros Okta provided a clear and easy way to verify and streamline onboarding at one of my first jobs in Los Angeles. The user interface was clean and simlpe, the verification process allowed me to manage my passwords without worrying about data leaks, all without an insane learning curve. Cons While I only used Okta for a short period of time, I think the one thing I'd build on would be the cloud integrations. While they exist, at the time Okta seemed just one step behind. September 19, 2025 5.0 We have been generally pleased with Okta. It has made managing identities and access easier throughout the company, improved security through trusted methods of authentication and made the IT workload involving password resets and new user onboarding smaller. Although this has a slight learning curve on the administrators side, once all the settings are made, the platform will be smooth and will not need much maintenance. The use of Okta has integrated into our work process at DishIs Technologies, which has made accessing all data and information secure, convenient, and efficient. Pros The best features of Okta are the ease with which user management and authentication is conducted. Multi-factor authentication and single sign-on provide us with high security and does not introduce friction to the employees. User onboarding and offboarding is highly fast and the password management options minimize IT workload. The platform also goes hand in hand with most of our already existing tools and it generally saves a lot of time with keeping access secure. Cons The administrative dashboard may be a little overwhelming to beginners, and certain integrations will need additional configuration, which might have to be done technically. Although the basic functions are functioning successfully, I believe that Okta could be somewhat enhanced by making the interface more user-friendly to the non-technical administrator and include more step-by-step guidance when configuring the system. Switched from [SpreadSimple](https://www.capterra.com/p/207881/SpreadSimple/) The ability to store a few basic user and access data using SpreadSimple through spreadsheets was something we were used to previously, however, they were missing centralized authentication, multi-factor security and a simplified onboarding/offboarding of users. In our company, we moved to Okta to have a more powerful MFA, single sign-on, and user management. The MFA system was great and easy to user. Getting users set up was easy too. Cons I had a few cons, it was sometimes really slow and sometimes the "keep me logged in" feature did not work. Pros Their Identity Governance's product's features are easy to use and easy to configure. It took us only a short time to get everything setup, and we were able to do so by ourselves, mostly. Cons The product teams initially told us certain features would be ready within 6 months after our purchase. However, they could not live up to that promise and after using their product on ID Governance for 12 months, we gave up because critical features were not ready. As a non-profit, Okta offered us a fantastic discount and several hours of free implementation services under their Okta for Good program. The service has been 100% solid and the utilization of their Lifecycle Management using our HR system as a source has greatly improved our workflow. Pros It's quite easy to use. It's widely compatible with a wide range of services. Support, the few times that we've needed them, have been responsive and quite helpful. We've worked with their Professional Services team on a couple of occasions and found them to be extremely competent and great to work with. They communicate well on service interruption issues or upcoming events that may impact our service. Cons There hasn't been much not to like, at least for what we use it for. If I have a complaint, it's that their logs can be a bit difficult to decipher, but part of that is because we don't need to do so all that often. Great service, I fully recommend. Pros Probably the best 2FA authenticator app I've used. It was comprehensive and trustworthy. The company I worked for integrated it in over Google Authenticator shortly after I started. Cons Depending on your networks security privileges, if you need to update your contact information or any other data, it was an extensive process to regain access to your account. It's a short term pain for being to access your station, but theres confidence is the defence and security you will have with this product. October 2, 2024 5.0 In our comapny, the use of Okta has been essential, due to the high number of accounts we have in the cloud for our employees, in addition, we manage several platforms that require a login, so that is where the role of Okta comes into play, as it is responsible for authorizing any logins to the accounts we use for our company. In general, it has given me incredible security, I have been able to integrate it with the most platforms to add a login method, in addition, Okta has given me a way to keep our accounts secure with a fairly complex and almost impossible to rape. I feel safe with the login security provided by Okta, I will continue using it as an authentication service for a longer time. Pros The first feature that I liked is the way in which Okta records any login attempt, this helps a lot since it is capable of detecting when unwanted people are trying to enter our system, this way we can be attentive to any suspicious login. Okta also throws in two-step verification codes, which are essential to maintaining security at every login. Okta allows me to generate one-time codes to log in so I don't use my default to access an account. Auth0 allows me to manage users, which helps me add or remove users whenever I want. Auth0 sends me notifications every time a user is going to access an account I receive those notifications on my mobile device and I like that because it keeps me informed of everything. Cons There isn't a single feature that I didn't like about Okta, it has been an extremely important platform to maintain proportional security in the login of all our employees in the company.
