Being able to see grades, discipline reports, and upcoming events allow families to gain insight into the school. Pros Gradelink is a very simple School information System (SIS). As such, the setup time is very fast. The Gradelink support team is very helpful in getting the support that is necessary. Cons Because the SIS is a simple, there are not many additional features. The basic features- gradebook, lesson plans, etc. are accessible. However, the more complex features are not available. Cons I do not like that it will not sync with MS Teams Classrooms. I also wish you could make your own email groups without admin intervention. April 22, 2026 5.0 Pros I started using Gradelink when our administration decided to change our student information system. It was very helpful when transferring all of our information into a new database. Customer Service was top notch when I had to call and ask about any concerns or questions I had. I worked as the Office Manager and was in charge of making sure everything transferred smoothly. I now work as a teacher and use this for student and teacher information. This help keeps track of students behavior, grades, billing as well as the teachers lesson plans and calendars. It helps our administration to look and see what students are interrupting our class management strategies and to better help us flow and make progress. Cons That it doesn't remember your payment information or allow you to use Apple Pay. This would make payments faster and even more convenient. First Grade Teacher Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great One Stop Shop for Schools" April 21, 2026 5.0 We have been using Gradelink for at least 3 years, and I still like the versatility of being able to do all the above mentioned things on one website with one login. I thinks parents also appreciate everything (enrollment and grades) being in the same place, too. Email may come from Gradelink, but it then creates an email thread in our school Gmail accounts, so parents don't actually have to use Gradelink to email back and forth. Pros My favorite part is that everything is on one website/login. I can lesson plan, record grades, find parents' email addresses and phone numbers, and email parents all in one place. We have different groups set up, so I can email my class or my extracurricular with the click of one button. I can also exclude certain families, if it is a reminder email that certain families don't need. As far as I have heard from my principal and director of technology, the support is easy-to-use and very helpful. One example is that the support team has adjusted the look of our report cards to make sure it looks the way we want. If we are having any trouble, my principal or our director of technology submits a support ticket. Cons The only thing I don't like is that copying lesson plans from previous years has a lot of steps. Unless I am missing some training, you have to click through a lot of buttons to find past lessons, then copy, then click back through all the buttons to get to the current week to paste. If you only have to do one lesson, it might be worth it, but if you are trying to copy a week or two for a whole unit, it gets too unmanageable. We have used Gradelink for about seven years, and we are very happy with this program. We use it for everything in the school - communications, attendance and grades, lunch billing, discipline, lesson plans, enrollment, and more! It's very convenient to only have to use one program for all these things. Pros Gradelink is very user-friendly once you learn the ropes. They offer great tutorial videos for every aspect of the program, which is super helpful. We use the communications feature (both email and mass texting) almost daily at our school. It is perfect for last-minute reminders about due dates or for changes in schedules, as in snow days and weather delays. Cons The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because there are some features that are missing that would be very helpful. The Gradelink app is great for parents and students, but there is no option for an app for the teachers or admin to use. It would be so helpful to be able to communicate via our phones, but instead we have to use a laptop to send messages. Gradelink does open on a phone browser, but it does not optimize for mobile viewing and will cut off the screen. The other feature that is inconvenient is that parents can't enroll from the app. They must log in on a laptop to do this. Anytime I reach out with a question, I receive a response in a very timely manner. In addition, the features in the Gradelink system cover all of our grade reporting needs. Cons We have encountered many issues this year with parent notification. We use the system to send texts when there is a delay or cancellation due to weather and constantly have problems with people (staff and parents alike) not receiving the alert. Once learning the location of the tasks I frequent (which took all of a few hours or so of use), it is by far the best online gradebook our system has used. Pros Compared to our previous system, Gradelink is far superior. Entering grades and assignments is easy, and straight forward. In the past I have sent feedback with an issue I was having with the login procedure, and I can tell improvements have been made in that area (indicating the developers are listening). Tracking student information with not just normal information, but also with disciplinary issues makes it easier to see if a student is acting up in multiple classes or just one. Cons There are times when Gradelink has issues with the login procedure. This was mentioned in the Pros area. The issue where having been away from Gradelink after an extended period of time (e.g. overnight, or over the weekend), it will attempt to continue to work with the current session when in reality it has been logged out. It appears the session is still active, and then ultimately updates itself indicating the session has expired (losing whatever work you have already inputted). This has greatly improved over the course of the prior and current semester. I have talked to several representatives, one of them being Josue, who has helped me a couple of times; he has been a great help and has made the process super easy. All my experiences with the representatives have been good. Pros The customer support is great! I always have many questions and I get them answered! Whenever I don't get my call through, they follow up very quickly. Cons It doesn't have an app for a teacher login. The teachers often have commented how they which they could log in "easier" from their mobile devices. There are numerous tools available that, as a small school, we haven't fully utilized yet. I hope to eventually transition everything to a digital format. I've consistently received assistance from the Gradelink help center, and the parent portal is also very user-friendly. Pros What I appreciate most about Gradelink is its user-friendly design. As a lead teacher, I oversee the training and support of my fellow educators on Gradelink. The feedback from teachers is consistently positive regarding the Lesson Plans and the Gradesheet features. I particularly enjoy the ability to save and duplicate Lesson Plans. Transitioning to digital Report Cards has significantly saved us time. Overall, Gradelink proves to be an excellent platform for our school. Cons The one aspect I find less appealing is the State Standards. It would be beneficial to have access to all State standards within the lesson plan section. I've noticed that several standards are missing, and it would be great to access them on our end. Cons Although easy to use, Gradelink offers limited options when it comes to display features, and I have come across frequent technical issues on their end when it comes to adjusting past years' information. I've used it for grading, lesson plans, emails, newsletters, syllabi, attachments, etc. I've used it as a teacher and as a parent. Pros I love that everything that I do in my classroom is on one site. I love how easy it is to figure out, and how easy it is to explain to new teachers and parents. Cons The biggest con with Gradelink is that there is not a teacher app. The students and parents have an app, but teachers don't. We always have to use Safari.
