I appreciate being able to communicate with all of the students and their parents within the Communication means, for it serves as great reminders to hit all deadlines, whether special events, or reminding parents about State Testing. Gradelink includes a picture for a quick reference, an academic picture for staff and parents to utilize and peruse, and I would highly recommend Gradelink to anyone not currently using it. Pros It is quick and easy to upload new students, with areas for all student and family information. I appreciated being able to include a plethora of information for the RCS staff, so everyone could have all needed information in a timely and organized way. Cons A helpful feature that would be nice when uploading information for students would be to consider having any duplicated information, such as the primary family contact information (phone number, email address) on the first page, prepopulate in other places, like the contact information within the contact file information (where the address and type of relationship information is entered), within a student's Gradelink file. If one is putting any information within Gradelink, any prepopulation of any other fields asking the same information would be appreciated. I think it has some really great features that help make putting in grades, communicating with families, and grabbing information on students easy and convenient. Pros It's convivence and easy navigation are two things that stick out to me the most. I love the communication tab that allows me to reach out to families. Cons I'm not a fan of the section for lesson plans. This feels difficult when I've attempted to lesson plan in the past.
