### "New Relic is a great way to track user activity!"

September 25, 2018

4.0

Pros

I like how clean the UI is. It's simple, and the many dashboards you can create allow an easy way to display all the data you're collecting

Cons

I wish that it did not use NRQL, and instead used just some other standard SQL. NRQL has a lot of limitations in getting your dashboards to show up exactly how you want

### "Useful analytics for UI and API performance"

July 31, 2019

3.0

Analytics for the performance of EC2 servers running PHP code and Angular frontend applications.

Pros

The graphs and the basic analytics for an application are very useful to see how a server is performing and if there are any hiccups. Very clean interface.

Cons

A bit hard to navigate around the application but once on the page you desire, things are simpler. Also, the setup documents are a bit scattered and require a lot of reading in order to understand what to do and where.

### "Simply extremely useful"

May 16, 2018

5.0

Pros

Ruby developer? Can't dispense New Relic! It's a great, user friendly, and full of features analytics software. It's very easy to set up and gives you accessible yet rich information about how your app works

Cons

I didn't like the mobile app. I also find the price a bit of a turn-off, even though its not excessively expensive

### "New Relic Review"

April 29, 2019

5.0

Overall experience using New Relic has been really good. I would definitely recommend it to my colleagues.

Pros

My personal favorite feature is the weekly summary or report for traffic and issues. Provides visualization to monitor the application performance. It provides thorough alerts and emails.

Cons

Setting up alerts can be a little tricky at first, it has a steep learning curve. Fine tuning of monitors can involve some considerable efforts.

### "Great platform to see server stats at a glance"

June 14, 2018

4.0

The benefits we receive from New Relic allows us to make sure our server is always performing at where it should be.

Pros

I love that New Relic allows my team to debug any site/server outages at a fleeting glance. Our favorite part about New Relic is the page speed insights. This allows us to make sure our servers are running at its peak performance at all times.

Cons

There are a lot of different portals on the new relic, it can get overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for or where to look.

### "The X Ray you'd want for your web app"

December 13, 2016

5.0

I highly recommend you try out New Relic. New Relic takes out the guess work on where the bottlenecks of your web app are located. If you can afford it, go with the PRO subscription as the thread profiler feature is just awesome.

Pros

Thread Profiler, Apdex, Key Transactions monitoring

### "Helping dev team to stay on top"

April 13, 2018

5.0

Pros

Installation process is easy and it was no difficulties along the way. The interface is very intuitive & friendly.

Cons

Android/iOS app is quite buggy, so checking performance on the go is quite troublesome. Price is quite steep, basically doubles the cost of a server.

We have been using New Relic for a while now, and it has become an indispensable tool for optimizing the performance of our apps. New Relic's Apdex feature allows us monitor end users experience at a glance.

### "Was awesome...when they had a free plan"

November 16, 2018

4.0

Pros

Incredibly useful for server admins and devs to debug application performance and server resources. Intuitive interface makes it very easy to get around. A boat load of features--more than I could probably ever use

Cons

They did away with their free plan and made it hard for a independent dev like myself to afford.

### "Not for those on a lean budget"

July 18, 2017

5.0

Pros

New Relic provides ways to visualize and quantify almost any aspect of your website or app's performance. Once you tweak the settings you can filter down to just the information you want to know currently, and it's easy to focus on high-traffic pages to get the most bang for your buck when using the data to optimize your site.

Cons

It's not immediately intuitive. It took a couple of product demos to start to understand how everything is organized. Go in expecting everything to be clickable, and that will help you more than anything. The price ended up being the biggest downside.

### "Reliable tools to monitor your application."

June 24, 2018

Pros

It is a well known software so everyone have heard about it and probably use it. And also there are a lot of tutorials from the website or from community. So it is now very had when you have a problem.

Cons

Nothing to dislike from New Relic, but I've heard my team lead to complain about it's pricing. But there are free trial available.

### "Monitor you environment using cloud infrastructure"

January 7, 2018

5.0

Helped us to quickly find what was happening in our environment sometimes. Really easy to setup and quickly found what was happening.

Pros

Monitor basic infrastructure; Monitor your Java/.Net applications, EXTREMELY easy; Find easily errors and relations between problems, and quickly find the root cause

Cons

Depending of your environment or security level you need, maybe cloud option is a problem. That's the only trouble.

### "Decent application monitoring"

July 11, 2017

3.0

Able to get a nice view into database queries that would be hard to track otherwise.

Pros

The Application Monitoring and ability to dive into poorly performing database queries would be the highlight of New Relic. Reasonably easy to dig into details of stack traces.

Cons

The price is very expensive, customer support can be a mixed bag. User interface is hard to get around. Mobile app could use some work.

### "Helpful and organized"

July 9, 2021

4.0

New Relic was a very useful, organized app--I just wish there had been a few more monitoring features available or a way to integrate a custom monitoring function. Overall thought, a great product.

Pros

Node based graph view of all interconnected apps was helpful in organizing my data and applications. It was very easy to get alerts and customize notifications and logs all from one singular place! Made me more efficient.

Cons

There weren't any good ways to manage and monitor the runtime memory of each app, which was a frustrating feature to be missing since it would have required an entirely new app and defeated the purpose of New Relic

### "Deceptive Billing Practices"

September 14, 2016

3.0

They have very deceptive billing practices. I agreed to a 12 month term, kept the product for 2+ years before cancelling. Upon cancellation I was charged three months fee because the product had "auto renewed" for a third year. My sales rep had told me it was a one year contract, no mention of anything auto renewing. I would have gone back to new relic but not after this.
