June 12, 2017 4.0 Pros Does not overload my servers and I can monitor resources remotely even when my servers are overloaded for some reason. Helps me tune up my software. Cons Price. Cons \- It's becoming kind of obsolete as there are other more lightweight/specific tools that may do certain parts better - It has caused my servers to crash before, and is a known issue with node sometimes. - They removed the free tier azure. - Very expensive compared to similar competitors. Using this tool during development, testing and when things go wrong to track down an error is fantastic. The ability to trace detail, finding out why there are latency/speed issues in production environments ensures that you know exactly why your conversion metrics are lower than they should be before the wider business has had a chance to complain! Cons The pricing model makes the solution expensive, as it's per container or per server it goes against the use of load balancers. Having to make trade offs to provide a good customer experience isn't a great business model. Cons few concerns while the application monitoring is great, the server monitoring is not so great. The paid version (vs the free version) is a tad pricey. Pros I really like that New Relic has an online academy that teaches it’s users how to navigate and become a certified performance pro. Cons it can be a little challenging to pick up the lingo and terminology if you aren’t familiar with it. It helped us a lot to debug web applications. It has a nice REST API easy to use. Cons There is no way to get the account ID from the REST API. Pros The ease that you install on your website to monitor every move on your website. The way the present the flows of a process on your website is graphically perfect, which makes it easy to find the issue, ok you need to know what you are doing but even with a bit of knowledge, you will handle! The nice integration with Magento makes it ideal to be sure you will filter out bad configs, modules and so on. Thanks guys! Better ask a little fee instead of a free trial, cause within the trial you can fix your challenges. Cons When you are desperate of finding software you try a lot of other software which is then not detailed enough, new relic shows a ton of information so its hard to have a negative point about this software / platform. This tools allows system administrators and developers to have a real time insight into the servers metrics. Cons New Relic has a high price to access to it's features. But it's the most complete tool in my opinion, for server monitoring. Some steps are required to learn how this tools works and how to tweak it to be customized to your needs. Pros New Relic allows you to monitor the performance and health of your application. It displays various detailed graph and analytics for each and every properties of your system. You can check what is bottleneck in your application performance and may appropriate steps accordingly. Cons Some of its useful features are not included in free plan.
