May 1, 2022 4.0 Pros Eventzilla offers great functionality for both the Free and Paid version. You can easily tailor your events with all the required information like Text, Pictures, Audiovisual, Maps, and other content. Although Paid version offers a lot of customization options. You can easily monitor Event registration and ticketing status right from the Event dashboard. Overall very user-friendly for both the event organizer and attendee. Looks aesthetically pleasing when completed. No glitches encountered. Cons Some features were harder to find on the dashboard than anticipated, i.e. comp tickets and discount codes. Even after reading the FAQ, I had to enter it twice because the feature was not easily found. Main issue was with registration list. Often times, we have guests that have their colleagues register them for the event but this does not get reflected on the guest list. Similar issue was had when multiple tickets were purchased because it does not specify all the guests. Adding names of guests field when purchasing tickets would make the registration list more simple. Pros \* It really simplified the process of people registering for our workshops, both for them and for us. \* When I had an issue with the software, the Eventzilla team got back to me straight away and resolved the problem. \* Our workshops had the same format, so we were able to create a new form for registering by just editing an existing form. A real time-saver. \* And because we weren't charging teachers for the workshops, it was free to use. I have had serious issues with the "Email attendees" functionality which didn't seem to work. I tried to look up online for other people experiencing the same but wasn't successful. I didn't contact customer Service for that. I ended up sending a mass email with Yahoo mail to attendees. There are many features that could be added to make it more versatile depending on the registration logic needs. One of the most important for the needs of our event was to be able associate available subsequent choices with answers to previously submitted choices. Sometimes I can find what I'm looking for (like limiting the number of attendees one person can register) and sometimes I can't. Things need to be more straightforward - rather than clicking anything I can find on a webpage, I'd like to have all options available upfront. Pros I've been using Eventbrite for the last several years and got tired of it having a mind of its own. Eventzilla also seems to change things for no reason though, so I will use it this year until it frustrates me. We had some glitches with our page, but every time support was prompt and helpful. I noticed everytime I edited the page when it was live, the page went back into a draft state, and all the previous registrations got thrown into a obselete page. So that wasn't very helpful, not sure if it's meant to be like that. But a very affordable system. We are just gutted we can't get a credit card system working for us. We are in New Zealand, which paypal does, but they won't do accounts for religious organisations. So if you guys got DPS payment onboard, that would be amazing for us. Overall love your system! Pros I like Eventzilla most because you are able to receive your cash right away as opposed to waiting a week or two after your event. The mobile app was also very easy to check attendees in with. Pros Eventzilla is very easy to setup and the payment options are simple to implement. Fees are also very reasonable and less than other services like EventBrite. We also like the mobile ticket, QR code, and printout options. The fees were able to be passed onto ticket buyers and there were minimal fees. It wasn't hard to learn to use the features and they had features to copy and paste the link to my site easily. It was great to have Eventzilla for my last event. Pros I liked that the funds from the tickets aren't held until after the event. Deposits are made within days after each ticket is sold. That is very helpful when you have expenses before the event happens. I also felt that the customer service was available most of the time that I needed it. I found the site to be use friendly as well. Cons There were times that the discount codes weren't working for customers and I couldn't get it to work. It's great to have integration with out website and to be able to offer discount codes easily. It really fits a need for us that would be WAY harder to manage without it. We are moving toward 100% online payments, however, in the short term we are using a mix of online and check payment for our events. What would be beneficial is to have a report that merged both the attendance list with the orders listing. In our situation, several of the registration orders were made for multiple individuals. When checking in each registrant on the day of the event, we have to collect payment at the door. The attendance list does not give indication that payment had been provided/received via electronic means, and we had to keep 2 separate lists and a merged listing of all orders and payments in order to check people in.
