When I needed the features, that prior to the event seemed to set Eventzilla a part, to make managing the larger event easier for me, they seemed to all need trouble shooting and the customer service was hard to find and when I did talk to them it took days to resolve anything. overall it is just ok. I think I chose eventzilla because the cost was effective, but I was more frustrated than happy when I used it on a larger scale. Pros I could embed a widget on my site, custom registration fields, and tiered ticket sales options Cons the badge print feature, refund process, customer service, the code redemption process was clunky, the widget kept a side scroll bar when embedded Review Source CH Carla H. The registration reports are robust. This is my favorite tool on the market. Much better than eventbrite Cons Wish we could print custom name badges and have a digital check-in app from Eventzilla. Pros Free! Nice look to the published event website. Allows for tickets to not be required, sends reminders about the event, allows for waitlisting and setting capacity on tickets. Cons The UX could be simplified. I use this tool quarterly and have for almost five years now and I still have to search around for areas where I need to make edits. I really wish the text entry fields had better WYSIWYG editing capabilities. I don't know HTML code and if my font sizing is off or I want to change a color, it is rather difficult. Getting a custom URL, getting money deposited weekly (and not at the end of my event like other sites), and a slew of other features make it a really great choice. Pros I love the functionality vs. price. I have been using Eventzilla for several years now and they are always improving the functionality, yet the price to the consumer is always low compared to other ticketing sites. Cons I think some menus could be streamlined and easier to find/navigate, but it's a very small complaint and not a huge deal. Review Source IS Izabela S. January 25, 2016 3.0 The pros are that management of the tickets was better than individuals selling tickets. We did receive our money from PayPal as promised, so that worked well. The cons were that setting up the account was not easy as portrayed. When speaking with representatives on the phone, I could not understand the representative. When I tried to use the Chat program, the answers were either slow or not at all. I suggest that when emailing confirmation regarding ticket purchase that only one email be sent to notify regarding 1)purchase of the ticket; 2) payment being made to PayPal and 3) payment being made to Eventzilla. There were way too many emails to handle the information. The list of purchasers available from the site were listed with first names instead of last names, and the font was so small as to be not usable for checking people in at the door. I had to prepare a separate list on my computer. Sometimes people did not receive an Eticket and did not know what to do, nor did the clients. I think some additional work on the website is in order. Customer Service needs some work also. I realize that I am of an older generation and perhaps a younger person more tech savvy could have navigated all of this a little more easily. July 18, 2018 5.0 Pros Eventzilla has been super easy to set up and utilize for our events and programs that both require payment and those that don’t! Linking to paypal was super simple and straightforward. Eventzilla customer service has also been quick to respond! Cons The only issue that has come to mind is super unique for arranging a conference on our campus to accept payments through a bank account. Cons I wish it was possible to pick the fields we wanted exported, however, as it currently exists (exporting to a .csv file with additional information) still works. Writing our own from scratch is too expensive. Cons Lacks good field edits. Numbers should have field length, upper & lower boundary checks etc. We have an online membership database that we would like to use to validate attendees but there seems to be no way to embed code to validate member numbers against those entered in the field. Customer service has been pretty responsive. Pros I liked that it was easy to setup a new event. The step by step process explains most of what is needed, especially for simple events. Cons The reporting is not the best and trying to have different ticket options in terms of limiting amount of tickets sold per timesolt. It is not so easy to set up. Pros I like the widgets in this web based software which allows you take registration through your website and really leverage social promotions. Cons Not all the menu options are intuitive. April 30, 2017 5.0 Not having to build our own registration system, downloadable reports Pros The product covers all our must-have features. Paying to remove the logo and branding is something to consider for a more professional approach to the registration page. There are a lot of features to choose for customization. Cons The total count of registrations on the dashboard only displays that count of CONFIRMED and PAID registrations. It would be nice to see the PAID versus UNPAID registrations. By Unpaid registrations, I am referring to those registrations that are requesting to pay at the door or pay by invoice. Having that on the dashboard would make it easier for event managers to see a larger picture of what to expect on the event day (how many people are showing up to make a payment on the day of the event) to help with staffing at the registration desk. It would be an improvement to pay a yearly fee to remove Eventzilla branding and logos from ALL events we schedule. We currently have 18 events and it was overwhelming for our finance folks to get 18 invoices for the fee to remove Eventzilla branding. Review Source MM Melissa M. August 6, 2018 4.0 We love that Eventzilla allows you to make your own questions as part of registration in order to correctly collect all of the data needed to ensure we are set up. Highly recommended! Pros I love that Eventzilla is a trusted site that has been around for 9 years. It offers setting up the event, sending invites, collecting payments, as well as tracks attendance to give you great data. Used the software for: ### "Great for organizing event, but some customers had trouble using their credit cards." September 28, 2015 3.0 Pros: It was easy to set up the event on Eventzilla. I liked that Eventzilla sent me an email when an order was placed. In the past, we have only been able to accept cash and check so it was nice to have another option for them to pay by credit card online. Cons: A number of our customers could not register with their credit cards. Originally, we thought the first two people who had trouble must be doing something wrong, but we received more and more messages/phone calls that the site would not accept their credit cards. Emailed customer service from the Eventzilla website about the issue we were having the week of our event, but never received a reply back. Many of the people that had trouble registering had just downloaded Windows 10, so I am not sure if that caused the issues or if it was an issue with browsers that they used. Finally, we just had customers call us with their credit card numbers and we entered their information on Eventzilla from our office or had them bring payment the night of the event. We are meeting about the event this week for a wrap-up meeting so we will be discussing these pros and cons to see if we will be utilizing Eventzilla again next year. I appreciate being able to set up multiple events in different categories. Customer use has been easy. Cons There are definitely limiting features, like types of questions you can customize and having different types of tickets on different pages. You also cannot have multiple levels of discounts.
