Our firm loves MyCase. It's user-friendly and packed with amazing features that have helped us achieve a 245% growth rate over the last year. I have been so impressed with MyCase that I became a certified MyCase consultant so I can help other firms experience these game-changing benefits.

Pros

My favorite features in MyCase are the case management, client management, document management, templates and automation.

Cons

I don't like that the invoices aren't more customizable and that the billing and invoicing aren't compatible with contingency firms. I also with MyCase would integrate with a VOIP phone system like Ring Central so we can automate some of our calling procedures.

It's pretty easy to work with and is becoming more intuitive as it updates come out. It has become a very important part of my practice organization.

Pros

It is a good value and it suits my needs as a solo practitioner. I like the accounting features. It makes my job a little easier.

Cons

I would like to see a way for payments to be made through apps such as CashApp, Zelle, and Venmo. Also, there seems to be a bug in deleting payment requests.

When we are able to access the platform, it performs adequately. However, employees at our firm have had very different experiences logging into the platform on any given day. The mandatory password changes and monthly security codes have forced to us to look for another case management software.

Pros

The user interface is easy to use and makes sense. The platform is intuitive, and offers most features a small law firm needs. However, accessing the platform regularly is a different story.

Cons

Unreasonable, excessive, and superfluous security measures. Random mandatory password changes and security codes. Sometimes we will have to wait several hours for a security code to be sent to us. The codes cannot be copied and pasted, but manually entered. This technology appears to us to be considerably outdated.

Overall, my experience has been positive with good and quick feedback from customer support. This is a solid choice for managing legal case files.

Pros

MyCase is very user friendly and robust in its case management features. It has all of the features that I want to be able to keep track of client documents, communication, and billing. The clients can access their files using the client portal, and I can share files with the client or others as needed. Billing is also robust allowing for time tracking, invoice generting, direct billing, etc.

Cons

I have noticed an integration issue with Adobe. Occasionally the desktop app will crash when making advance manipulations of an adobe file and attempting to save it to MyCase via the desktop app.

It allows me to efficiently organize client files, track deadlines, and manage documents without having to switch between multiple systems.

Cons

Specifically, locating detailed information about payments, refunds, and transaction history is not always intuitive. I would find it extremely helpful if all payment activity, including invoices, payments received, refunds issued, and trust account transaction were clearly consolidated and easily accessible within each case file.

Very good. I upgraded to the advanced tier recently to explore the document automation for my drafting.

Pros

I've been using MyCase for maybe eight years now as a solo practitioner. It's the only practice management platform I've ever used and I love it. I use it for billing, managing my calendar, tasking with my paralegal and assistant, sending messages to clients, making notes to myself, managing my contacts. I also use the SmartSpend MyCase credit card for client expenses.

Cons

The email functionality is not the way I want it. I link emails to MyCase but they still do not appear visible to my team.

Excellent. I did not embrace the change when we started using this seven or eight years ago, but it was easy to learn and don't know how we functioned without it before we had it.

Pros

Ease of use, billing, client management, website all integrated one stop shopping. Also, it cuts down the number of phone calls for client status.

Cons

When interface changed, I preferred the old format. Once I got used to that version, the new one seems to not get as much information on the page as the old format.

Overall, my experience has been a pleasant one. I find MyCase to be easier to navigate than our previous case management system, especially when it comes to the monthly billing.

Pros

MyCase is user friendly. It is easy to locate information using the "Search" option, and it is easy to enter information. I like the option to bill clients with the built-in share option and that clients can make payments directly through the link in their invoice. I also like the ability to add documents so that clients can view them simply by logging in. My Case is open to suggestions and quick to provide help when needed.

Cons

MyCase does not tell you provide you with any warning that they are implementing new changes or when updating the system.

I like that it's simple and has all the necessary components to run our firm, and especially that the accounting software and lawpay integrates so well.

Cons

Although MyCase is constantly improving, it could be more timely and efficient to improve and integrate with other technology.

I have been using it for a few years and I can't go back to practicing without case management software.

Pros

Organizes my office. Easy to update clients. Bills automatically. Clients can see dates, sign documents and see discovery.

Cons

It is moving more to add on apps. The add on apps can be glitchy and expensive. The new owners seem to be changing the platform to make it less user friendly.

I am extremely glad I switched from PCLaw to MyCase - night and day difference. The software is easy to use and navigate and provides quick access to the information I need.

Pros

Very easy to use and track time to my client files. Invoicing clients is quick with payment options that are easy for them to use.

Cons

There is nothing to dislike about MyCase. My former time and billing software was cumbersome to use with difficlt links. MyCase is the complete opposite.

Our firm's use of MyCase has been wonderful. The support is amazing. Always quick to figure out any issue we have had.

Pros

MyCase is a simple system. Easy to understand and use. Our firm is mostly older attorneys and none of us have had any issues being able to learn the system.

Cons

Price. I would love to see a quarterly billing and perhaps a reduced price for small firms. I believe it could be more affordable for the solo and small firm.

The experience of using the application is 100% satisfactory. Working with MyCase is a great experience. In a growing law firm with many employees, it helps us stay in communication and have complete knowledge of the cases.

Pros

It’s a great work tool. I work in the Billing Department, and I believe that MyCase is one of the best apps out there. The follow-ups are very easy to manage, and being able to assign yourself tasks as reminders is a great help. Also, the MyCase support team is very knowledgeable and always attentive to your requests. Honestly, I’ve worked for more than 25 years in law firms, and I consider MyCase to be the best. I highly recommend it.

Cons

So far, the only thing I can say against MyCase is that during the integration with LawPay, it caused some errors in the information previously managed in MyCase.

As noted above, I am happy with . It was a seamless transition to 8am. I didn't have to spend time trying to figure out new ways of doing things. 8am MyCase is intelligent and user friendly. Another thing I really like about 8am MyCase is the use of assorted colors, which is something my eyes appreciate greatly.

Pros

I am very pleased with . It's been intuitive and very easy to use. I was a bit worried that the change from MyCase to 8am MyCase might cause some issues, but that hasn't been the case (pun intended), fortunately. 8am MyCase is a good value for the money, and customer support is still top-notch. 8am My Case does a lot in terms of managing our documents and the law firm in a more general and comprehensive sense. The invoicing system has been and continues to be wonderful. It handles our billings beautifully. It helps me generate clear invoices that our clients can understand, and allows easy payments online, or by other means.

Cons

I was a bit surprised about the change to 8am, but there really isn't anything that I don't like about it. It continues to check all the boxes for our case management software.

I like the features that are included and the organization of all of the different tabs. It is always easy for clients to navigate on their end as well so I am glad my office is able to provide this platform to them.

Cons

I wish that there was a feature that allows for new leads to be generated from previous contacts. I also wish that there were more tutorials provided to show how some features can be utilized to streamline processes.

However, there were a few areas that could be improved, like task notifications and document template functions, to make the process even more efficient.

The 8 a.m. draft review was well structured and clear. The case details were presented in an organized way, the tone remained professional yet approachable, and the action points were concise , making next steps easy to follow. Best Cases Management program

Cons

While the review was solid overall, I felt the section on follow-up actions and next-step clarity could use more depth. A few items (such as document template issues and support response expectations) seemed under-addressed, which left some ambiguity about ownership and timing.

I plan on being a mycase customer forever. I have used other platforms and find this to be the most user friendly and love that clients have access as well.

Pros

I love that it is a one stop shop for myself and for my clients. The ability to communicate in real time, upload and download documents, it's all great. Clients love having that direct link to us. It helps keep me and the case organized.

Cons

I do not like that we can't save a draft message. I also don't like that payments to prior invoices don't show up in any history that you can put on a current invoice. I do not like that you can't modify the home screen to include the items you use the most and disregard those you don't

We have been unable to use the email synch feature, despite getting IT involved. Apparently the issue is with our email system.

I love Mycase. I have used other firm management systems but I love the best. I have used Clio and Practice Master but MyCase is way better.

Pros

I love the texting feature. It is easy to use and clients love it. Texting is the best way to contact most of my clients, so the texting feature is perfect.

Cons

That I don't know how to customize the right panel menu. I also don't like that a number shows up on the calendar but it's for other users, not me.
