Our firm loves MyCase. It's user-friendly and packed with amazing features that have helped us achieve a 245% growth rate over the last year. I have been so impressed with MyCase that I became a certified MyCase consultant so I can help other firms experience these game-changing benefits.

Pros

My favorite features in MyCase are the case management, client management, document management, templates and automation.

Cons

I don't like that the invoices aren't more customizable and that the billing and invoicing aren't compatible with contingency firms. I also with MyCase would integrate with a VOIP phone system like Ring Central so we can automate some of our calling procedures.

Overall very positive. I was not happy with the sudden price increase but alas the system has proven invaluable. Easy to learn and very user friendly. Very flexible, especially the invoicing aspect of the system.

Pros

Comprehensive and intuitive platform for case management, billing and practice managment/financial analysis. Very easy to learn and use. Makes invoicing and timekeeping a breeze. Even has useful perks like document e-signing!

Cons

The cost has gone up significantly...but what hasn't - some of the features such as mycase desktop are useless - if they add to my costs I am not using them and so the company should focus on its core usefullness and not try to replace word or whatever they were trying to do with the internal editing platform.

Pros

Ease of case tracking is easy with MyCase and it has definitely helped with my work flow. I like the fully digital/online aspect.

Cons

IOLTA management is needing some simplicity and improvement on the intake. MyCase could do a better job offering training on practice managment and intake.

When we are able to access the platform, it performs adequately. However, employees at our firm have had very different experiences logging into the platform on any given day. The mandatory password changes and monthly security codes have forced to us to look for another case management software.

Pros

The user interface is easy to use and makes sense. The platform is intuitive, and offers most features a small law firm needs. However, accessing the platform regularly is a different story.

Cons

Unreasonable, excessive, and superfluous security measures. Random mandatory password changes and security codes. Sometimes we will have to wait several hours for a security code to be sent to us. The codes cannot be copied and pasted, but manually entered. This technology appears to us to be considerably outdated.

Overall, my experience with MyCase has been exceptional. I have tried other billing and office management software, and they do not come close to the ease of use as MyCase.

Pros

The ease of use of the system for both my firm and my client's is amazing. It is an incredible value for the money. Customer support has been extremely helpful. The document management feature is used daily.

Cons

The home pages changes pretty often and take some getting used to when it happens. Sometimes the billing can be confusing, but Customer Support is always there to help.

Overall I have had a good experience with Mycase. It has allowed me to operate and grow my law firm while ensuring a relatively painless experience for my clients through Mycase payments and the client portal.

Pros

Value for money. Originally it was extremely affordable and still had all the features I needed to run my firm more efficiently.

Cons

Mycase took a very long time rolling out integrations that Clio had for awhile. This included email integration, etc. I think they've definitely made up ground in that area but it unfortunately comes with a larger price tag.

### "Good File Management Software for the Price for Solo Attorneys"

Pretty good for the price. The customer service is usually available, the interface is agreeable and easy to use, the unlimited cloud storage is nice, and I like a lot of the app/integrations like filing straight from the MyCase file.

Pros

Quick response/implementation to new good ideas for the software. Customer support is pretty good, no complaints.

Cons

Sometimes software bugs can take a long time to repair. For example, for the longest time when I would print to PDF from MyCase the auto date feature from the MyCase document would show the date as one day ahead. It took quite awhile for MyCase to repair this bug (months) but they eventually fixed it.

Great. I love the system and feel like it makes organizing my clients and also keeping them updated and informed very easy and it allows me to have the files organized and make sure I stay on top of everything.

Pros

The interface is very user friendly and has so many options to organize a case and also maintain a great flow of work to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Cons

Sometimes the system glitches but it isn't significant to sway in the direction of not using it. For the most part they are resolve rather quickly.

Covers all the aspects I need in firm management and accounting for a reasonable price and offers in-depth resources and one-on-one assistance (with a person!).

Pros

As a sole practitioner, I need something affordable but that covers multiple facets: client management, case management, bookkeeping, Trust accounting, etc. MyCase handles all of those and is priced reasonably.

Cons

Just learning a new system. Every system handles things differently, and any switch is going to have a learning curve. Back to Pro - the learning resources are very helpful and you can get one-one-one support.

Overall, it has been a great experience. We have used free trials for other systems and came over from another platform. MyCase has done what we need at a reasonable price.

Pros

Total intergration with accounting, payment processing, messaging, and calendar fuctions. Having one spot to see the entire client file inclusive of payment history has worked well for us. Any issues with accounting add-on have had quick response times from customer support.

Cons

My only complaint is the renaming of the company to "8am." It is slightly annoying to see times in my inbox and have to remember that 8am is not a scheduled event but some notice from a case. Hoping they will rebrand to anything else.

We've been using it for years now and it's saved and earned our firm lots more revenues. As we've developed as a firm, we've also developed our use of the software, which trends in a positive direction.

Pros

I like that it's simple and has all the necessary components to run our firm, and especially that the accounting software and lawpay integrates so well.

Cons

Although MyCase is constantly improving, it could be more timely and efficient to improve and integrate with other technology.

Nothing but positive things to say on the software. Being in Australia the maintenance (weekly) is a little frustrating as all the staff end up having to take a forced break we are paying for....

Pros

We run a business using this software that is not related to the law industry. We have managed to successfully adapt the software to our needs and would be lost without. I was a little hesitant when the changeover happened and the implementations on the site were adopted but they have improved something I did not believe needed improving. Love it!

Cons

As we are based in Australia, if we need direction on something that we can not find the answer to via the online help facility, due to the time differences we have to rely on emails.

Overall, my experience has been positive with good and quick feedback from customer support. This is a solid choice for managing legal case files.

Pros

MyCase is very user friendly and robust in its case management features. It has all of the features that I want to be able to keep track of client documents, communication, and billing. The clients can access their files using the client portal, and I can share files with the client or others as needed. Billing is also robust allowing for time tracking, invoice generting, direct billing, etc.

Cons

I have noticed an integration issue with Adobe. Occasionally the desktop app will crash when making advance manipulations of an adobe file and attempting to save it to MyCase via the desktop app.

I like that everything can be done for our clients using 1 application. From billing to communications and document preparation.

I do not like that it is not fully customizable for my likes or needs. I would like to be able to create a dashboard for my needs, not a general need.

Excellent. MyCase is cost-effective. Their customer support and training are well done. I can highly recommend it for any small law firm or expert witness practice.

Pros

I have been using MyCase to operate my expert witness practice. The UI is clean and easy to navigate. The document management is good, but a bit cumbersome. Time recording is excellent. The interface with QBO is beneficial. They offer great customer support and training.

Cons

Document management takes several steps. Drag and drop into folders would be better. Uploading documents for clients is not as powerful as direct user access.

Excellent. I did not embrace the change when we started using this seven or eight years ago, but it was easy to learn and don't know how we functioned without it before we had it.

Pros

Ease of use, billing, client management, website all integrated one stop shopping. Also, it cuts down the number of phone calls for client status.

Cons

When interface changed, I preferred the old format. Once I got used to that version, the new one seems to not get as much information on the page as the old format.

It is pretty intuitive, so there isn't much of a learning curve, but once you get used to it, the program works even more seamlessly.

Pros

Our small firm practice improved dramatically when we started using this. Our communication about cases and ability to see overall workflow improved. Our time keeping became easier and more precise, and invoices became both easier to create and more professional looking.

Cons

It would be nice if the document management feature was easier to use; you can store documents but manipulating them is difficult.

Above average to excellent for most features. I do not use MyCase to the fullest extent. Customer service has been great. My main concern going forwar is that the prices will increase which is a burden for solo practitioners.

Pros

It is a full case management program that makes sense economically for a solo practitioner, organizes my time and billing and easily creates invoices, and I really like the daily and weekly reports. I also like the tracking feature of the types of cases I am opening so I can easily see how many active cases I have, and in what practice areas.

Cons

editing client information - it is counter-intuitive. I have to navigate through several menu options before I can figure it out and get to where I need to be.

I plan on being a mycase customer forever. I have used other platforms and find this to be the most user friendly and love that clients have access as well.

Pros

I love that it is a one stop shop for myself and for my clients. The ability to communicate in real time, upload and download documents, it's all great. Clients love having that direct link to us. It helps keep me and the case organized.

Cons

I do not like that we can't save a draft message. I also don't like that payments to prior invoices don't show up in any history that you can put on a current invoice. I do not like that you can't modify the home screen to include the items you use the most and disregard those you don't

This has been an excellent choice for our small insurance defense firm. Ease of use is important to me and the program is very intuitive.

Pros

Intuitive, easy to use, many features, new features frequently added, ability to handle electronic billing.

Cons

We have been unable to use the email synch feature, despite getting IT involved. Apparently the issue is with our email system.

Great experience for all of our firm from attorneys down to the receptionist. Everyone can find things easily and share with the team easily as well.

Pros

MyCase is so simple to use and easy to learn. Anything you don't know is always covered in the help section of their site. It is very transparent with pricing and invoicing as well as super user friendly for clients to use the portal as well.

Cons

I wish there was template workflows that we could share amongst users and customize to each firm as well as tasks that we could share amongst other firms.

Good software, useful for law practice and high volume of cases. If I was in a full-time practice again, I would definitely use it!

Pros

It integrates fairly well with google calendar and manages case files, documents, due dates, checklists, etc. It was also a great tracker for billing overall by day/month, and you could input goals, etc. Also liked the feature to communicate with clients that was attached to their case

Cons

The cost was significantly increased while I was using it and the cost per user can be frustrating. Downloading everything for a backup was also not very intuitive or convenient. Also did not like how high the processing fees were for credit cards

Pros

it is all in one platform and user friendly. My team and I are able to use it to organize our cases without much issues.

Cons

there are some issues with the immigration integration. The questionnaire ask more than what it needed in certain forms and when I have multiple questions that need extra space, it only provides 2.

I've been using MyCase for several years and have yet to find a situation where I am unable to address any of the firm's needs.

Pros

We're a small firm, and MyCase offers subscriptions that fit our needs without forcing us to pay for features we don't need. Customer service is prompt and thorough. Overall a great product.

Cons

I wish I had more control over invoicing (e.g. fully modifying the default invoice template; changing the default state of the invoice upon generating). I also wish I could generate client-specific, rather than matter-specific calendars for clients with multiple matters.
