I think it’s an easy to use event publishing platform with enough features to use and events show up in searches.

Pros

It’s easy to create a new event or add dates to an existing event. It’s user friendly for someone new to event publishing.

Cons

I dislike that for reoccurring events you have to click on individual dates to see ticket sales. It would be nice if the next upcoming date was displayed at least.

Eventbrite has helped me grow in my career field, expand my knowledge, and support my clients. I use it as a resource tool both personally and professionally. It has been amazing to see all the classes in the arts, mental health, and addiction. I also feel as it is so easy to navigate.

Pros

I love the ease of the website and app as well as the abundance of activities and events. Whether you want to do something social locally or you want to listen to a webinar and learn about something in your career field, personal growth, or mental health. They even have a ton stuff you can do for free so it you can still connect with others while remaining on a budget. Their customer support is extremely helpful and quick to respond. I haven't come across any bug or issues while using it other than finding too many things that interest me and not being able to make up my mind on how much I can realistically participate in. I love getting email notifications of new topics and events related to my areas of interest. I recommend Eventbrite to all my clients, family, friends, and use it often myself. It is a good way to build social supports and interact with others in the community. It's also great for networking!

Cons

I didn't find much of anything I didn't like other than I find too many options of events in my interest and don't have the time to do everything that I want. However, that is more so about me and not any fault with Eventbrite.

I finally quit printing off a million pages of hotel and car information, because it was all stored on my phone. Scanning peoples' codes is ok, as I tend to misplace business cards anyway. Keeping the entire conference from being a disaster through having the maps located right there, is a plus for me as well, as I don't tend to get lost.

Pros

I'm literally typing this with the laptop fan screaming at me and I wish I could be sleeping. Eventbrite was able to manage my agenda and keep everything in order without me having to do anything. I was really impressed that the real time updates were working, especially considering the rooms changed locations. I also didn't expect to have to continuously log back into the site but I never did.

Cons

I got screwed on the leaderboard due to the fact that the same question was worth two different points and they would not allow me to correct it once I selected the 4,000 one.

It works, but it’s just okay. Nothing feels broken, but it also doesn’t feel inspired. It does the job and still leaves you wishing for more.

Pros

It gets the basic job done. You can set up an event, collect RSVPs, and track attendance. The interface is familiar enough that anyone can figure it out with a little patience, and it integrates with calendars and email.

Cons

It feels underwhelming for both personal and corporate use. For personal events, Partiful is much better and feels more modern and social. For corporate events, there are plenty of platforms that handle branding, customization, and attendee management more smoothly. The design looks dated, notifications can be clunky, and nothing about it really stands out.

UI/UX--I switched because I wanted something that felt more modern and user-friendly. Eventbrite was fine for the basics, but it started to feel clunky and outdated compared to other tools. I have always found the platform easy to use and I have never had trouble booking onto events using the system, and the tickets it issues have always worked.

Pros

As an end user of Eventbrite over the last 8-9 years, I have always found the platform intuitive and easy to use. From using the platform to book onto events as part of my MBA programme to booking tickets for the family, the platform works well. I have never required support from customer service, such is the ease at which the platform can be used and the confirmation emails received after placing a booking is useful, especially with tools to quickly add events to your calendar. As an end user the value for money is exceptional, as no service charge is payable in my experience, when making a booking. The platform appears to be bug free (which is rare) and I have never encountered an issue with booking tickets.

Cons

There’s very little to dislike. It just works as expected. If I were to try very hard to find something I dislike, it would be the layout of printed tickets, but this is entirely trivial and it in no way impacts the use of the platform.

My overall experience with Eventbrite was good. There were no hidden fees, the setup was easy, and it allowed me to set up virtual events with tickets for my non-profit webinars without any hassle.

Pros

Eventbrite is easy to use, free, and intuitive for first time event planners wanting to have options for online tickets. They allow for multiple types of ticket options which is the reason I went with eventbrite and because they have a free option.

Cons

I was unable to set a minimum donation ticket amount when using it for non-profit events. I could only have a “pay what you want” or a set ticket price.

STOLE MONEY FROM US! – No Control, Awful Support, Terrible! If you are thinking about using Eventbrite for your event, I strongly recommend you read this first and avoid making the same mistake we did. We used Eventbrite to sell tickets for our national tour — and ended up losing over $3000 through a "Boost ads" system we never turned on or approved. THEY STOLE OUR MONEY! Eventbrite auto-opted us into paid advertising without consent, started spending our money on who-knows-what "ads," and provided no evidence that these ads even existed (even eventbrite support could not tell me where the ads were run or even how to manage them!) No reports, no audience breakdowns, no proof. When questioned, support gave us vague, dismissive answers. They would not refund anything despite the charges being unauthorized. Getting our attendee data was another nightmare. We had to manually export multiple different reports just to get a list of buyers vs attendees — no simple way to see who bought and who checked in. Even the basic act of "exporting your customers" is buried under poor UI design. In short: Steal money from your credit card! Hidden fees No transparency No proof of advertising services No ownership of your customers Broken exports and outdated systems If you value your business, want to protect your brand, and respect your customers — avoid Eventbrite at all costs.

Pros

Nothing - They stole money from our account, and their poor customer service have been dragging it out for 4 weeks with no refund as yet!

Cons

THEY ACTUALLY STOLE MONEY FROM OUR CREDIT CARD... and they refuse to refund it?! They need to be shut down! This is actually a scam! I have reported this fraud to my credit card company.

I’ve used Eventbrite for organizing and checking out events, and overall it’s a pretty solid platform—especially if you want something simple to set up and manage.

Pros

Easy to set up events You can create and launch an event pretty quickly without needing anything too technical. User-friendly interface Everything is laid out clearly, so you’re not wasting time trying to figure things out. Built-in ticketing system Handles registrations and payments in one place, which makes things a lot easier. Good exposure for events People can actually discover your event through the platform, which is a nice bonus.

Cons

Cons: Fees can add up Depending on your pricing, the service fees can cut into your margins. Limited customization You don’t have full control over branding or the look of your event page. Support can be hit or miss If something goes wrong, it’s not always the fastest to get help.

I find Eventbrite easy to use to post details about my webinars and workshops and since I can list the events for free its a great value for the money. I am notified also by email when someone signs up which is convenient

Cons

I feel that sometimes my events are not getting the exposure they need as many of them are free to attend and on topics that a lot of people would be interested in. So I don't know why I am not getting more reservations.

It helped us move out of the world of messy spreadsheets and lists by hand. Now check-ins take just seconds, and guests receive their tickets immediately, no confusion, no delays at the gate.

Pros

I really love how easy it is to create an event, create different ticket types, and check people in. It’s very user friendly and eliminates the back and forth we used to have with phone reservations.

Cons

The reporting dashboard can feel a bit limiting at times, especially when I want to understand guest trends across many events.

My overall experience with Eventbrite is great. I've used the platform for various activities including extra curricular events, virtual guest speaker and much more.

Pros

For the value for money, customer support, ease of use, email notifications, email, having no bugs and issues, I've never use the student and class management service so I can't speak to it.

Cons

For the value for money, customer support, ease of use, email notifications, email, having no bugs and issues. What I appreciate least about Eventbrite is the 25 max invite.

Wir waren über Jahre zufriedener Kunde. Leider hat sich der Support sehr verschlechter. Die Stornoregelung und der Kostenersatz von fehlgeschlagenen Transaktionen ist leider sehr schlecht. Kunden mussten teilweise mehr als 10 Monate auf ihr Geld warten und bekamen das auch nur da über Monate viele male Nachgefragt wurde.

Pros

Wir haben Eventbrite sehr lange benutzt da wir schon seit der Vorgängerversion Kunde waren. Leider wurde Eventbrite dann verkauft...

Cons

Eventbrite wurde seit dem Verkauf von Jahr zu Jahr schlechter. Als dann auch noch die Kosten zu steigen begannen mussten wir zu einem anderen Anbieter wechseln.

It's natural discoverability is fantastic and I often sell 10-20% of my tickets just by listing a portion of tickets on the platform - no marketing needed. I'll never not list event tickets on there!

Pros

It's incredibly easy to use and rather than charging for usage, it's simple based on the way they can either absorb or pass on fees to customers. It's slick and I've never experienced any issues with the platform - maybe the occasional slow-page load but nothing detrimental.

Cons

The fees are a little higher than ideal, but since that is somewhat expected from ticket buyers it's not the end of the world.

Frustrating, embarassing for me personally internal to our organization, and pointless. I could never recommend Eventbrite to anyone, and will explore all alternative service providers going forward. Having used them in the past, I felt that the verification questions and issues would be easily dealt with based on past experience. I could not have been more wrong!

Pros

They offer a proven and reliable tool for the sale of tickets to an event and payment.

Cons

They are an abysmal customer service organization, impossible to reach and slow to react. Our event closed on March 8th and I am still waiting for verification which is provided by another vendor. They ask for documentation and when we send them the documents on file with the Government, they refuse to accept them, even though they are on file with other financial institutions. What makes it so much harder to understand is that we have used them three times in the past four years and received payout without issue. Its not like we are an unkown to them! They are now obstructing access to our funds and will not provide alternative means of satisfying their requirements. By the way, their chatbot is just an algorithm - if your problem is a standard issue, I'm sure it could be quite expedient for both parties. But if its a verification question, like when their 3rd party verification provider won't accept the documents on file with the gov't and other financial institutions ... you're in real trouble and will quickly learn that no one will help you.

Overall love the site and shows all the upcoming events and prices. I always look forward to seeing the future events so I can plan way in advance.

Pros

I loved how user friendly it is and how it presents the upcoming events. I would have never known wine dinners were being held at my favorite local restaurant. It shows the menu and price per person with the option of buying through the site instead of the restaurant.

Cons

Sometimes the site takes awhile to load on my phone. Not sure if it is the site or my phone that is a few years old.
