We used the software for around a year, which was an upgrade from a previous version of software we had with the same company.

Pros

It was a good product for the work order needs we had. It helped keep work orders organized and offered great reporting options. The data from the reports was and is still superior to other products out there.

Cons

The mobile aspect was not what we were looking for or needing to support the amount of staff and volume that we have.

It's a joke. Multiple days without access to the system because of their technicians. What good is a work order system that we cannot put work orders into?

Pros

Two years ago, the support was great. Now, it sucks. Over promise and under deliver. School Dude was better.

Cons

Poor support. Cannot use this software across all platforms unless you jump through hoops. The company makes you feel like you work for them and not them working for you.

### "A great product for work order creation/management."

I find it extremely easy to create my own work orders for my occupants. I am responsible for a large University School of Medicine and it's very helpful to be able to add my own detailed description of the issue as well as attach phots to help guide the techs. My customers appreciate the support I can give them to resolve their issue.

Pros

I like the ability to get notices when the status of my work order is either closed or changed with notes and updates to the status of the repair.

Cons

Sometimes our techs will close a work order without putting notes on it. Then I have to track them down to find out the outcome or the next step. I think the comments section should be a mandatory box to fill.

I Like that it is very user Friendly and easy to navigate through is screens to go were you want to.

Cons

I need to learn more on how to do a forecast to be able to see what needs to be done in two weeks as well further into so I can plan the work for my Techs.

So far, it is great, there are many checkpoints and way for improvement on my parts to write up worksheets which made them presentable, acceptable and readable to the employer who monitor my work schedule.

Pros

What is the best way to proven to the employer that I am actually working day in and day out? With Assets Essentials app or web based allows me to do just that! I loved!

Cons

AI incorporates with grammars, vocabulary, or better yet with sentences improving that would be great.perhaps that would be something in the future Assets Essentials looking for better way to improve her working orders platform.

It has been great. We have been able to instruct all of our lower level personnel on how to access the system and how to find what they are looking for.

Pros

I love the ability to access all pertinent information on a work order so easily. After we got all the assets built it went pretty smoothly.

Cons

It is a lot to put in all the information. But.... once we got the infrastructure built it is so easy to use. I also struggle a bit with the app version in making sure I do not have filters set.

The security features seem to be good but it has to be updated on my phone quite frequently. I'm starting get like all the features it has but still would like it to be easier to maneuver around.

Pros

What i like most about asset essentials is that I can look at my pm's and add to them if need be. I can also keep up with my work orders.

Cons

Its not very user friendly for me anyways. It has taken me some time to get comfortable using it and I know it has alot more features I haven't used yet.

Pros

This software has a lot of potential for us. The ability to track costs of repairs, parts, downtime, etc. could be really valuable. Having an accurate parts inventory will also be very nice when we get to that point. Keeping track of what work has been done on the different assets has been the best for us so far. Finally, having a parts list for each piece of equipment will be awesome.

Cons

It is not a very sleek or modern user interface. Also, there are abundant features that can provide great value but it takes a lot of clicks to access what I want. Sometimes it seems like there are too many steps to perform what I want to. One example would be PO's. I also wish it would allow me to customize more so I can avoid fields of information that I don't need.

I am an administrator who also manages use cases and internal development and could not be more satisfied with our company's decision to go with Asset Essentials over some of the other more costly players in the maintenance management space. The higher the cost does not necessarily equal higher value.

Pros

Asset Essentials helps to streamline the core functions of maintenance management into an easy to use, intuitive software solution at an incredibly attractive price point. The customer service is world class, and the feedback loop allows for meaningful dialogue between the Brightly team and our organization.

Cons

Early adoption was tough, and a path to scale was not clear. This became way easier as time progressed and our userbase's skill set matured.

There were a few hiccups in the very beginning, mostly due to the system being in a developmental stage. But everything was fixed with one phone call. Great customer service!

The layout is smooth. It was incredibly easy to make the transition from our old software.

I like that we can track our work and the ease of which the crews can track themselves and their work loads.

Cons

My biggest problem is I can't input the things that directly report to my group. We were not originally set up to be individual. The Grounds Dept. has grown and we need to be able to be more specific in what we do. This will allow us to accurately track those job types. I very much want to individualize the program for accurate measures.

Migrating to a new platform can initially be overwhelming especially when being familiar with a product that was used for a number of years and was fine- tuned to an organization's use. Overall, now that Asset Essentials is the work order system of the organization with staff utilizing the many features, it is appreciated for its efficiencies.

Pros

Asset Essentials continues to improve the ease of use and output of the data, proving to be an excellent resource for the organization and for the Facilities Management Managers and Staff.

Cons

Brightly continues to work with Clients' use and understanding of Asset Essentials and this is a process. Learning improved ways of working with a product can initially be awkward, but once users become more familiar and comfortable with the how it works, it becomes more automatic.

Our overall experience has been positive. The Asset Essentials team is easy to reach and helpful in resolving any problems.

Pros

The ease of work order entry and the dispersion to the trades. Also, when I call for help, the person I reach spends as much time as necessary to answer all my questions.

Cons

Learning how to create different views for the work orders and batching work orders that need to be closed. We have single sign on for the users so we had to work with our IT department to make sure everyone was signed on and could access the program.

We have found that this helps us track all user work order and daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual preventative maintenance. It also allows us to generate work order reports that help us track how effectively we are utilizing our support staff against industry standard labor. SLAs are a helpful metric to present to the business sector or our organization to create new staffing position, and or, justify pay scaling to match the current market demands.

Pros

I like the easy use of all aspects of this software. From the adding users to the work tickets. We also utilize the parts portion for inventory and tools.

Cons

The mobile app is my least favorite. We have had issue after issue with the app kicking people out throughout the day, not just work tickets, but to the client ID. Since we have authenticator licensing, we need to also fill out that information each time. It is very frustrating.

we like all of the options but still liked mobile 311 better out in the field.

Cons

Its not user friendly when you have used mobile 311 and switch to this. Maps will not follow you like mobile 311. work order set up is very hard to under stand its more like as long as you create it for someone else its ok but when you want to create and take off right there you have create a work order then go back into it and enter info.

Overall i think this is a very beginner software with a ton of bugs and nonfunctional that they need to work out. Progress with bugs and these functionality problems take way too long if ever to be completed. Honestly wish we spent our money elsewhere.

setting up Pm's was a nice change from using Outlook calendar Work request made it easier for staff to tell me about broken equipment it does eliminate paper

Cons

very tough to start to use it because the lingo and they way they have it sorted doesn't really apply to manufacturing. to customize alot of thing you need them to do it because we don't have access. plus everything takes 5 at least 5 seconds to load. which doesn't sound like much but every thing you click will have load times. The app is terrible and unusable. load times, restriction in functionality. bugs. Ability to put in meter readings is terribly painful You cant add parts while in a workorder. its a separate page you have to go to. and you can't complete tasks while on a computer.

Reason for choosing Asset Essentials

I chose this one because it had an app and it looked very useful and they said it would be easy to do a walk around checklist with meter readings. It also was on the cheaper side which made it easier to pass on to upper management to buy in.
