I have tried a couple of different salon softwares before but Phorest is the best! It does everything you need to have a successful salon. Definitely worth the money you spend on it.

there isn't anything I don't like, it seems a bit complicated to start with as there's a lot of features (what you need) but once you start using it becomes easy.

Pros

I loved the reports, the ease of using it on a mobile device, the communication it kept up on with our clients, and the ease of rebooking clients.

Cons

Not being able to book clients in for the correct time frame, not being able to book tanning appointments or packages, having to schedule a training to learn how to operate the software during my business hours, not having customer support available

Tried the free trial, everything seemed o.k. How ever, in order to actually see how the system works you need to pay the initial set up fee of $500 US. Then they proceed to set up your system, the phone calls to set up are rushed with dozens of mistakes in the system before you even start. It's a complete mess! After the initial set up and 1 hour training I decided that this wasn't the system for our company. I've sent well over half a dozen emails explaining why I would like a refund and would not like to use the system and no one is responding. Only thing I'm receiving is more bill for charges to my credit card. I now will have to call my credit card company to block phorest from taking payments . Once they have your money forget getting any answers back from them if your unhappy with the services. I would never recommend any company to use them. Worst customer service out there.

All together in one package, dairy, marketing, sales, stock control etc on line sales & links to Facebook Instagram etc

Cons

Expensive and on going costs could be high depending on SMS usage. Treat cards are expensive & I didn't realise you don't need them as the points can be put on automatically

Pros

It allows clients to schedule appointments when it suits them without any queueing and even outside of office hours.

Cons

It is less powerful when you want to select multiple services in one appointment - still works but a little more confusing.

I can view what's going on in the salon whenever I am in the world. I can use the reports for different things, which are so useful. I can use the software to cash up and print everything off neatly!

Pros

Ease of use, online bookings, the app, the support, the amount of reports I can use, all are so useful! and just everything else that comes with the software ! It's amazing!

Cons

Want to be able to put people on the waiting list on multiple days with one click, at the moment you have to add them each day they would like

Pros

It's capabilities and mobile app convenience. The access that our clients have to the system. User voice in the system allows suggestions to better services, create new possibilities, and to make the actual user's voice heard to make a difference with the software. Great customer support! It was very easy to switch from our old salon software to Phorest.

Cons

It's still a little bit quirky, but the support line is very helpful and always available to troubleshoot.

Pros

It made Christmas in my salon run the best yet. Adequate appointments with sufficient turnaround time enabled all of us in the salon to be far less stressed and under pressure. Love it, love it, love it!

Cons

The fact that I can't set a maximum amount of treatments (i.e massage) for each day. We have to physically watch the diaries and cancel where necessary in order for me to ensure each therapist doesn't have, say, 7 massages one after the other

I've been using Phorest for over 5 years now. I had worked with many salon software companies previously and would (and very often do!) highly recommend Phorest. The team are so innovative and creative, meaning the software can do wonderful and also practical things. They listen to their customers; if there is ever something someone thinks could be improved or added, they take it on board and regularly act upon it - no wonder they've grown so well! Customer service is excellent and if ever there is any issue, it is resolved promptly and smoothly - thankfully this is a rarity, as the software is so reliable!! Phorest has helped my business grow, keeps my team inspired and motivated with the customer review section, and allows me to see my business performance at the click of a button. Thank you Phorest!!

Pros

It's great for holding all of our clients information, which gives us easy access to everything we need to know at the touch of a bottom. It makes booking appointments much easier and stress free. Everything is organised and set out for us which takes alot of work off us so we can spend the time concentrating on our client's. The support team are amazing and it's great to know we always have that support if we have any problems or queries.

Pros

I use Phorest to book appointments at my salon. It is very user friendly. I can easily select the service type, select which stylist, date and time. It displays the days and times as a list rather than a calendar where you must select a date to see the available times which is my favorite feature. They send you an email confirmation when you schedule the appointment and email reminders of your upcoming appointment. I also get texts message reminders and a survey after my appointment. It also shows a list of your previous appointments with date, time and stylist and you have the option to just hit rebook for the same appointment type and stylist.

Cons

You can not set up reminders of your appointment.

Well, I've only had my phorest training today. And I know there will be teething issues. But, you know what? I don't think it's going to be a problem! I've come over from isalon. And I can tell you... it's already feeling so much more intuitive using phorest. And, I can honestly say. I feel completely confident in phorest's support will fix any issues we experience.

Professional, Intuitive, attractive, slick and easy looking!

Cons

A couple of slightly quicker "short cuts" that would make life a little easier.

What I like the most is that Phorest Salon Software is a one stop shop for Hair Salons, Beauty Salons and Spas.

Cons

It is a great software for saloons, by far the one I like the most. Pricing can feel a little expensive for some people.

We have been using Phorest since 2008. Previously we used another POS software but wanted a system that could cope with multiple branches. It has definitely allowed us to have a competitive difference over other salons due to the additional features like the loyalty system, online booking, integrated reviews and a lot more. During this time the system has had lots of upgrades and additional features and I like that our ongoing support fee includes all of these upgrades without extra costs. The support team are very helpful and always respond to queries quickly. During the last few years we have looked to change suppliers in a lot of areas of our business (electric, water, products etc) but I honestly don't think I will ever look for another software company as I can 100% rely on phorest.

I'm sure in the future I would rate much higher. As we are new to the phorest family I am still only learning to use all of its features. My online hour with Susan was so constructive. I rate that highest of all. I am really looking forward to learning to use it better.

Pros

I love the personal touch. Simple thinks like seeing images of my staff on the screen, makes it a happier screen in a corny way.

Cons

Nothing really. I suppose only that it is new and scary to me at the moment

Unfortunately like most people I'm quick to criticize and moan and slow to praise, so this makes a pleasant change. Our computer for what ever reason broke down Friday afternoon. From the original call by me to the follow up care calls by your staff the manner was exemplary. After advice we decided to carry on with the iPad which filled in amazingly well, doing end of day on my home screen. Jeff Robbins came out to help us today installing a new machine, to keep or otherwise dependent on the original. Again it was a seamless service Jeff being very aware that he was in the middle of a busy salon. Whatever the outcome with the machines, it has been in the circumstance a very gratifying experience. And you should be as I am sure you are, proud of your team!

I have my Master's in information technology and knew what I was looking for. I searched for more than 6 months before deciding on Phorest. This was the best decision that I can ever make. I was little hesitant to sign up for Phorest since they are based in Ireland. But it didn't take me long to convince myself that this is the best software, company, and the team that I could pick. Team at Phorest is beyond professional and their support is seamless. Always ready to train and their willingness to help with any issues is very admirable. Apart from all, I love their team's soft spoken courteous accent. All in all, I will highly recommend this company to anyone who has doubts about it. I am writing this review from my heart and not that someone told me. Send me a message and I will help you change your mind.

Every time i call I get amazing service and honestly have never had a bad experience. Every member of staff is so polite and that in itself is enough for me to recommend Phorest Softwere.

It's easy to use and they really have thought of everything when it comes to my customers. Marketing, cashing up, online booking and so so much more.

Cons

Can't say there is anything I don't like to be honest. It doesn't have a deliver me a coffee button lol.

I have used Phorest few days now. I am satisfied, but still a little bit lost. The system is so much different than the one I've used several years, but I'm sure, I learn how to use Phorest. I'm atually excited to learn, because I'm sure, it will grow my business! :)

We opened a spa as a new business venture and took a long time searching for the perfect program. We are not new to using business specific software and did our homework on the various programs and features. When we found Phorest we immediately saw it met all of our needs and provided many more that we didn't know were available! This software is extremely easy to use, navigate and train staff on. The staff have been exceptional and as we're new we've been using the Support button alot! We get called back very quickly and have been so happy with the explanations and their ability to join our computer to demonstrate how an item is done. We highly recommend Phorest and please know that anyone who wants to speak to a very happy new customer can call us!

I am disappointed you don't have the online feature for capturing a credit card for a same day service. It has to be all deposits for all online appointments or none and I don't think that's appropriate.

Iv been using Phorest for about 7 years and it is such an asset to the business. Online bookings are hugely successful and both client and therapist friendly. The software is so so easy to use and has every feature you could even imagine making the running of the business and paperwork so much simpler and organised. I also have to say I've never dealt with a company that has such consistency when it comes to their standard of service which is really inspiring. They cannot help enough if you have any concerns or questions. Very professional but also looks like a fun bunch of ppl too! It's a must for any business looking to move forward/online. Definitely the leading brand in salon software which I think sets a standard for all other areas of your business.

As the title says I love the phorest system! Ive only just become a customer and It is AMAZING. The support from Phorest staff is fantastic and the marketing support with ebooks and podcasts etc....
