The onboarding folks work very hard to make what can be an overwhelming process manageable as well as creating videos on how to do everything and anything so when issues arise, it is normally because someone didn't follow the easy to read or watch videos! The support I feel as an owner is second to none. I highly recommend!

Pros

Phorest is a game changer as far as being software that I feel like PARTNERS with me to bring the best experience to and for our guests as well as our team members. The customer support is second to none and it is easy to find answers when I need them. Phorest is always upgrading features and listens to our feedback to help streamline their systems in a way that no other company I deal with does.

Cons

Because you normally run so smoothly, when there are bugs or issues with the software I rarely consider that the problem is within Phorest and assume user error.

It's been going well so far. I think there are some things that can be changed to make it more user friendly. I was told that I would get business support through my journey and I have yet to get that. I have been flying solo and I'm sure I'm not utilizing things correctly to help improve business. It would be great to have more 1 on 1's to show what phorest can actually do for your business. I don't think I would pay more or move up in tier for what I'm getting.

Pros

That it is an all in one software service. It's great that I don't have to go through multiple companies to keep my business running smoothly. security seems pretty good and haven't had any bugs or issues with the software itself. Online booking has been great and the fact that we can requests deposits for first time client's and also give them a policy notice for no/shows-late appointment.

Cons

The cost for what you get and support staff that is supposed to reach out and don't. When asked to fix or change things the response isn't quick or just told we can't do that. I have used other scheduling softwares before that are way more user friendly and I feel like Phorest should do some more research on other platforms to see how they work well and incorporate that into their own. Reports have also been really hard to find, read and understand.

We are very happy with the switch weed from ClienTrak software. We were hesitant in changing our Salon Software System but we are now glad we made the move

Pros

Excellent appointment management system as well as POS security, their online booking system helps us a lot to save time and money. It keeps us organized with our payroll and Spa management.

Cons

I couldn't mention anything at the moment, so far we are very happy for choosing Phorest as our main Salon system software

Pros

The system is easy for everyday tasks however making an in person appointment deposit and refunds are not as straight forward.

Cons

Support feels lacking after onboarding. When real issues come up, it often turns into finger pointing instead of problem solving. I still have open support tickets from 10 months ago that haven’t been resolved or followed up on.

Pros

Phorest is incredibly user-friendly, with a clean, intuitive layout that makes booking, scheduling, and managing clients seamless. The marketing tools are also a big plus, automated messages, email campaigns, and loyalty features help us stay connected with our clients effortlessly. Their support team is always responsive and genuinely helpful.

Cons

1\. Occasionally, updates cause small glitches or changes in workflow that take time to adjust to. However, the support team is usually quick to assist when issues arise. 2. The only aspect I truly find limiting is the inability to reuse gift card barcodes. At our wellness centre, we provide physical plastic gift cards to clients. Once redeemed, we retain the cards in hopes of reusing them, however, Phorest currently doesn’t offer a way to reassign or reactivate these barcodes for new clients. We now have over 2,000 used cards stored, which we hesitate to dispose of due to environmental concerns. As a business deeply committed to sustainability, it’s important to us to reduce waste wherever possible. I believe offering the option to reuse or reassign barcodes would not only support eco-conscious practices but would also align beautifully with Phorest’s own values around innovation and sustainability. We’re hopeful this functionality might be considered for a future update.

Pros

I like the value of Phorest. Scheduling system is easy to use and provides a lot of flexibility. All the reports which are available make monitoring your business relatively simple.

Cons

I like all the data collection of Phorest. I would like to be able to see it in graphic form without exporting it into another program

I am happy with Phorest, there are still need of few specific features (for instance billing to customer for taking payment through a link , and some promotional features that I would defintely want part of it, hopefully it will be developed by their team in near future. Overall i am satisfied with customer services and ease of using phorest.

Pros

I been in spa business for more than 15 years, we are unique so have unique challenges, I moved to Phorest almost 7 years ago, i have used several management softwares, and tested many other platfrom before deciding on phorest. I will say phorest in features is one of the best software out there. I love appointment managemetn system, scheudling, and tons of other features that you cannot find in other spa management softwares, Phorest has done incredible job understanding need of spas and setting up everything in convenient way. Pricing wise its on much higher side, I hope Phorest will consider pricing structure making it much more affordable

I am not happy with high pricing, I personally feel phorest can revise pricing making it more affordable.

Overall, The Phorest team is amazing. From onboarding, we had support in person to help our team and we've had support every step of the way. We have one person to reach out to if we have specific questions or need support on specific things. The helpdesk feature for our front desk staff has been super helpful. Phorest Academy is great for our new staff and training them. I love meeting with our Relationship Manager to go over new features or existing features that we might not be utilizing.

Pros

I love the usability of Phorest for the service provider team. It's easy for everyone to use and love some of the newer features that help with new staff coming on board. The new app features a unique referral code for each guest to share with those they are referring, and the internal tracking is amazing! We can see the results of our referral program and monetize it.

Cons

The reporting isn't always as straight forward as I hope for it to be. But we always ask for help when we can't find what we are looking for. I wish the new app for guests would allow us to manage the guests who use the "rebook previous appointment" tool, as it has been hard to manage with shop guests who schedule with multiple service providers and their timing isn't scheduled correct.

My overall experience has been great! The customer service is great. If I ever have a problem and need troubleshooting help, it's always available.

Pros

Phorest has all the tools you need to build a successful business. It's way more advanced than all other platforms I've used.

Cons

I do wish Phorest was a bit more affordable for smaller businesses. I don't mind paying for a platform the is advanced but $300/month seems a bit steep for a solo aesthetician.

Overall I would still highly recommend Phorest to other salon and spa's. They're always coming out with new ideas and features. So quick to respond and help out with questions and concerns we need.

Pros

user friendly, easy access on mobile devices, many useful reports to use. easy inventory counts and ordering process. Ad's manager is such a great set it and forget tool to use along with the marketing emails.

Cons

there is no return inventory besides the returns report. the drag and drop is a bit laggy and tends to be harder to see where things are getting moved to. some reports are a bit confusing, like the retention report. when you archive a guest, they still have the availability to book, but wont show on the appointment screen until you unarchive them.

The roll outs of new features can sometimes take a long time. There is also an occasional disconnect between things launching and salons knowing the feature exist.

A very positive and consistent experience. We can't really imagine switching to something else at this point, as it keeps growing and Phorest keeps adding more updates that benefit everyone.

Pros

It has almost every feature we need and being able to actually utilize the features is simple. Their customer support is generally very prompt with a consistent resolution. I love being able to know and talk to real people. Love being a part of their beta programs to give feedback on what they're innovating, it feels like a partnership because they truly care about the user experience and make adjustments when needed.

Cons

Going from salon biz where Aveda plus was integrated, we'd love to see integration in the future but it was certainly not a dealbreaker. It's held our desk staff accountable, and we see so many MORE enrollments without the integration. Can't imagine the success we'd have if we did have it though.

How user friendly it is for everyone. The system is highly user-friendly for hair salons, designed with the specific needs of stylists, receptionists, and salon managers in mind. Its intuitive interface makes scheduling appointments fast and simple, even for staff with minimal technical experience. Color-coded calendars, drag-and-drop functionality, and automatic reminders reduce the risk of booking errors and no-shows. The client management features are easy to navigate, allowing staff to store notes, preferences, and history for a personalized service experience. Overall, the system significantly improves efficiency and provides a smooth, hassle-free user experience.

Cons

There is nothing that is really that I don't dislike but I would love to see maybe a feature to add when you login to the system birthdays for that day would pop up so we can go that extra little step to show our clients we care.

I’m really happy I made the switch. It’s been a very smooth transition. I love that they do a yearly audit too. Really makes sure your utilizing all the benefits

Pros

I like that it’s really user friendly for clients and salon. They have amazing customer service! I love that there is an app I can use and so can my employees. That it’s the same fee every month and everything I need to use for the system is included. I like the weekly reports and all that too.

Cons

That it won’t let a client book more then one kids haircut together. And I hardtime adjusting to the cost. I think it’s worth it but still seem like a decent amount. But I do love the features

Constant updates. It's a good thing, but there can be bugs. Constantly having to tell clients, I'm sorry, bear with me, we just updated can be taxing.

Enttäuschende Erfahrung mit Phorest Salon Software Leider konnten wir mit Phorest keine guten Erfahrungen machen. Die Software ist im Vergleich zu anderen Anbietern deutlich überteuert, bietet dafür aber keinen entsprechenden Mehrwert. Der Fokus liegt fast ausschließlich auf dem Terminkalender – wer mehr erwartet, etwa eine flexible Kassenlösung oder umfassende Funktionen für den Salonalltag, wird enttäuscht. Die Kassenfunktion ist zwar vorhanden, aber in der Praxis nur eingeschränkt nutzbar und wenig intuitiv. Insgesamt wirkt das System unausgereift und nicht an die tatsächlichen Bedürfnisse von Salons angepasst. Für den Preis hätten wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Am schlimmsten ist es, wenn man kündigt Sie geben ihr Bestes, um es dir in Zukunft so schwer wie möglich mit einem Wechsel zu machen Daten werden weitergegeben, aber in einer lächerlichen und nicht verarbeitet baren Format.

Sie haben gute Marketing Tools Was soll ich sagen da bleibt nicht viel Positives zu berichten Man kann wenigstens kündigen!

Es hat mir deine Kassen Software nicht sehr viel zu tun, es ist ein Terminkalender, auf dem alles aufbaut. Den Bereich Rezepturen haben sie bei der Entwicklung wahrscheinlich fast vergessen , jedenfalls nicht praktisch. Mittlerweile kann man Rezepturen über Umwege drucken, aber das hat nun zwei Jahre gedauert, bis es funktioniert hat und dafür fast 130 € pro Monat… Nach der Kündigung wird es einem so schwer wie möglich gemacht Durch Bezahlung werden zwar Daten bereitgestellt, aber in einem lächerlichen, nicht verwendbaren Format. I am a happy happy Client and I will stay with phorest they are very friendly the time you need something they’re always availablehe

Pros

it’s been years. I am running my business with Phorest Company study and their trusted, and never anything wrong with the app you can run your business as very smoothly

Cons

The price is expensive, especially like I am one person and I pay $85 or something like that monthly so that’s lots for one person but as a group in Salon is a good price but not for me

Phorest is amazing! Everyone on the team is great to work with, and so down to earth. They listen and find resolutions.

Pros

Phorest has so many useful features. It has helped us to streamline how many programs we use, and allows use to market more effectively. The marketing suite has been amazing for us. We use the paid ads feature and it has increased bookings, and revenue. The reporting shows us how effective the ad is, and how it measures against industry averages.

Cons

I wish reporting access for service providers was more robust, and easier for them to access. Overall I don’t have many cons to share.

It has been good however, sometimes my text reminders don’t go through to every guests. Mostly ones who have android phones.

Pros

I love the business tracking. It makes knowing tracking your progress very easy. It’s helpful when running reports

Cons

I don’t like the that the online booking isn’t a request for an appointment. I wish I could approve it before it’s scheduled. Also, I don’t like that I can’t see all stylists on the screen when I’m searching for the weak view. It’s only one stylist at a time. I would like to see an overview of everyone.

Pros

Being able to have and actual person to help me, and that they are constantly improving the system..

Cons

Would love to see a section on the client card dedicated to color formulas and Phorestgo is often times unreliable

Overall experience with Phorest is SO good! Anytime I have questions or need support they are right there to help you! Plus their marketing features are amazing!

Pros

Phorest has the BEST reporting system I have ever worked with! Every time I need a number to support my teams growth it is so easy to find! Also, their customer service is EXCEPTIONAL!

Cons

The only con I can think of is that there is no way to "split" retail. My salon specializes and when they share a client there is no way to "share" the retail at checkout. But I reported this issue and have been told they are working on it!

It has made our front desk WAY more proficient, labor costs go down due to easy simple to use features that make cashing in and out a breeze.

Pros

The fact there is such supportive staff who are always quick to help when we are in need, there is also a support button with step by step tips on how to use the software when you are in a time crunch. I also enjoy the consistent updates that keep us up to date with all the latest feature to help our salons business run smoothly!

Cons

I do not like the fact you can't create a schedule for the breaks to appear in certain peoples schedule and need to do it one by one.

We have been using Phorest for the last 6 years and couldn’t be happier. The staff we interact with and support we get are truthfully our favorite part.

Pros

Ease of use and appointment booking by far are my favs. Email and text marketing are a close second place.

Cons

The app is occasionally buggy, but not a deal breaker. For my end on the fly I need the app to be ready for me whenever because I am on the move and not in front of a PC.
