Overall, our service and support has been outstanding with Phorest. For someone who is not tech savvy having the ability to quickly jump on a call and navigate the site with a Phorest employee has been very helpful.

Pros

We are a salon company with 5 locations and navigating Phorest can sometimes be overwhelming, the ability to receive personalize support in a timely manner is a game changer.

Cons

When looking back at our old booking system, we did have the ability to see retail history with guests differently for our Service Providers.

Overall experience with Phorest is SO good! Anytime I have questions or need support they are right there to help you! Plus their marketing features are amazing!

Pros

Phorest has the BEST reporting system I have ever worked with! Every time I need a number to support my teams growth it is so easy to find! Also, their customer service is EXCEPTIONAL!

Cons

The only con I can think of is that there is no way to "split" retail. My salon specializes and when they share a client there is no way to "share" the retail at checkout. But I reported this issue and have been told they are working on it!

Overall fair, has improved over the last year, but I’m getting frustrated with the lack of bug fixes for waitlist and package updates.

Pros

Ease of booking online. Dedicated support is nice. Built In marketing. Inventory systems are easy to use

Cons

Features are bugged and take forever to get fixed. Feature will be launched with known issues with no timeline of resolution.

Pros

I love all the functions and how many things the system provides for even just the intro package. There are so many functions that we still don’t even utilize, but it’s great knowing they are there!

I wish there was a phone number that I could call and get someone immediately when I have a question about the system

Simple to use and works well. Very salon friendly, good options to customize the service to fit the specific needs of our salon.

Pros

The app and desk top are Easy to use and always works well for the salon staff and clients. Lots of ways to customize for personalization

Cons

I don’t like that the save card on file is hard to see when checking out. Saving the card is on as the default, should be something you have to click on to save.

We have been using Phorest for the last 6 years and couldn’t be happier. The staff we interact with and support we get are truthfully our favorite part.

Pros

Ease of use and appointment booking by far are my favs. Email and text marketing are a close second place.

Cons

The app is occasionally buggy, but not a deal breaker. For my end on the fly I need the app to be ready for me whenever because I am on the move and not in front of a PC.

The price is expensive, especially like I am one person and I pay $85 or something like that monthly so that’s lots for one person but as a group in Salon is a good price but not for me

I have had Phorest for many years and have been very very happy with the program and the customer service!

Pros

Program is extremely reliable and absolutely love the support is available when you need it. Force is very easy to learn to use. I really like the fact that you can print out people schedules so you always do not have to go back to the computer to see what is going on.

Cons

I cannot really think of a con. It is a monthly cost however, the value for the program is definitely worth it in my opinion.

A great all-in-one product. That I’m excited to see evolve. I don’t think there’s currently a better product at this price point.

Pros

It’s easy to use and a pretty good value for what you’re getting. Customer support has been great. Online booking and the online store is good.

Cons

The waiting list and the online store could be more robust. I’d like to run sales on specific items or specific brands. Basically, running sales online for products feels clunky.

Overall, The Phorest team is amazing. From onboarding, we had support in person to help our team and we've had support every step of the way. We have one person to reach out to if we have specific questions or need support on specific things. The helpdesk feature for our front desk staff has been super helpful. Phorest Academy is great for our new staff and training them. I love meeting with our Relationship Manager to go over new features or existing features that we might not be utilizing.

Pros

I love the usability of Phorest for the service provider team. It's easy for everyone to use and love some of the newer features that help with new staff coming on board. The new app features a unique referral code for each guest to share with those they are referring, and the internal tracking is amazing! We can see the results of our referral program and monetize it.

Cons

The reporting isn't always as straight forward as I hope for it to be. But we always ask for help when we can't find what we are looking for. I wish the new app for guests would allow us to manage the guests who use the "rebook previous appointment" tool, as it has been hard to manage with shop guests who schedule with multiple service providers and their timing isn't scheduled correct.

Very good since we moved over from other systems. It is such a much easier and user friendly for everyone..

How user friendly it is for everyone. The system is highly user-friendly for hair salons, designed with the specific needs of stylists, receptionists, and salon managers in mind. Its intuitive interface makes scheduling appointments fast and simple, even for staff with minimal technical experience. Color-coded calendars, drag-and-drop functionality, and automatic reminders reduce the risk of booking errors and no-shows. The client management features are easy to navigate, allowing staff to store notes, preferences, and history for a personalized service experience. Overall, the system significantly improves efficiency and provides a smooth, hassle-free user experience.

Cons

There is nothing that is really that I don't dislike but I would love to see maybe a feature to add when you login to the system birthdays for that day would pop up so we can go that extra little step to show our clients we care.

### "Love Phorest"

Our experience so far has been quite amazing. The staff has been more than helpful. We have recommended this product to more than one salon. It is so easy to teach any new staff to use because of how user friendly it is.

Pros

I love the community, they are more than helpful and handle all issues in a timely manner. It makes it super easy to ask the chat on our desktop to get to ant shortcut answers. Anytime there is technical issues they are able to address them immediately. The scheduling features make it easy for our front of house to properly book our staff according to their proper availability.

Cons

There hasn't been anything in particular that has had us dislike phorest. Only thing is the Phorest tips, we are interested but the staff is used to having their tips deposited immediately and with Phorest tips we will have to wait till the next day.

It has made our front desk WAY more proficient, labor costs go down due to easy simple to use features that make cashing in and out a breeze.

Pros

The fact there is such supportive staff who are always quick to help when we are in need, there is also a support button with step by step tips on how to use the software when you are in a time crunch. I also enjoy the consistent updates that keep us up to date with all the latest feature to help our salons business run smoothly!

Cons

I do not like the fact you can't create a schedule for the breaks to appear in certain peoples schedule and need to do it one by one.

Overall, it has been great service by the Phorest team, you guys truly have great staff. Also, the online booking site is easy to use for clients.

Pros

The customer support is always great and they are easy to reach. Client management and scheduling appointments are simple.

Cons

It's is pricey. The ads service alone is $100 a month plus an additional payment for the ads itself is a bit of a stretch for us.

On boarding was easy and every step along the way was supported with a personal consultant. We even had to separate from a second location and that was completed on time and with ease.

Pros

The versatility of the software and the use of campaigns, and marketing tools reach a wide variety. the software is easy to use and you can always find what you are looking for. The support is also always helpful. New Staff can also take part in the videos helping to alleviate some of the onboarding.

Cons

Waitlist. It is the only thing that needs improvement, but please don't take the lead from Milano.

Mostly positive. We are not currently using all that we pay for, but are working toward using the features included in our plan. It feels like a lot to implement but that's a good problem to have. I know once we are using it all properly, it will help us care for our customers and grow our numbers.

Pros

Working with \[sensitive content hidden\], my Salon Success Manager! She helps me navigate the software with confidence. It has a lot of capabilities and that can feel overwhelming at times! Working with her helps me understand the features and move forward with a better understanding so I can properly train my team.

Cons

I don't like that I cannot do more than one Cashup in a day.

### "Ill never look elsewhere"

I absolutely love it. It checks all of my boxes, and then some. They're constantly improving, taking into consideration customer feedback, and generally speaking - they actually seem like genuine humans.

Pros

I love that everything is customizable. Need a report? They got you. Integration for an online store? Done. How can I save time, and promote our great reviews on facebook? Ummm Phorest can do that for you.

Cons

I wish it would double as a payroll system

Our salon has 4 locations, and operate in two different provinces. With Phorest, we are able to track all 4 locations from anywhere we have the software installed. This allows our management team to make reports and help with any booking/sales issues our receptionists may have. We've found the marketing tools to be very helpful to send our clients promotions, and newsletters.

Pros

\- Easy multi-location implementation and support. - Consistent updates that continue to improve the software. - Meets all of our booking and POS needs. - Includes an excellent built-in rewards/points system, that has customizable features. - Very comprehensive reports that make it easy to track the performance of the business, as well as, track the personal performance of each employee, allowing the management to set goals with employees and track their progress. - Online booking system works seamlessly with Phorest's application and works with our business website/facebook page. - Reasonable pricing.

Cons

\- We wish the reviews could be listed directly as a Facebook review instead of something we have to post ourselves on our business page wall. - We also hope to see a better system for employee categories in the near future. If I want to change the price on one service an employee does, I have to create a new category for them specifically, and there is no way to copy and past the old category. It makes a 1 second change into a 15-20 minute ordeal.

Its a great experience i love all the features and customer service provided. Anytime i have a question about a feature or if I can't figure something out I can send a quick email and get fast responses from their team.

Pros

I love the customer service. If I ever have questions I get responses immediately. I feel like the value of what I pay is there. There are always new updates and features that benefit my business. The email marketing built in helps us get so many bookings from repeat customers. I also love the variety of reports available.

Cons

I don't have much dislikes currently. I think it would be cool to have employees able to clock in and out on the app. Other than that I'm not sure that i can think of anything off the top of my head.
