Great customer service. Pros Ease of use for quick look at how your rentals are doing. Lots of options for customer, and business settings . You can run your rentals how you want. I was using U-Haul when I took over and decided to find another software solution. I like that I can access everything from my cell phone and it works exactly like I am in front of my PC. My customers love the text reminders and on line payment. we did not have that ability with the previous software Cons I cannot send an individual text on demand when needed would like to save settings in revenue and collection reports ( Revenue, have the ability to save settings as a default on how I want the report displayed...grouped) also have the default start date listed as the current date instead of the 1st of the month. we do our reports daily. The program manages everything from site layout to billing to keeping up with payments, non payments ,and monthly statements. I can find out everything that's going on with my rentals with a click. I highly recommend. Pros Online payments and auto billing. My business is open 24/7 and so is ESS. Cons A little to complicated for someone with computer navigation skills like me, but I manage. They have lots of support when it comes to using the software. Not only do they have a link that takes you to all sorts of questions and answers....but if I can't figure it out, they are so willing to fix it for me. Cons When I want to do a promotions....they can't get them by renting online. They have to call to get the promotion manually. Office Manager Consumer Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Easy, Like Their Name Suggests..." September 20, 2016 4.0 Basically simple to set up and simple to use. The only issue was the building of our facility map because it is difficult to control the sizes and shapes of every individual unit. Pros Easy Storage Solutions is easy to set up and it is easy to navigate around the software to find the task you wish to perform. It is convenient in that there are multiple ways to access specific tasks, such as taking a payment. The software doesn't log off the user when inactive for a period of time. We find this useful when you have customers who are in a hurry and the software is ready to go. There is no shortage of support; by phone, by email or a link through the software where you can perform a search or chat online with someone from ESS. It has a basic look, which is great because it's not distracting. It is not overwhelming to use because of large amounts of instructions you have to read first before you can accomplish anything. We were quite impressed that we received an online rental customer 40 minutes after activating our online presence! Cons It was difficult to build our facility map and not make it look like I had a few cocktails too many during the building process. It is not something I feel proud enough to put on our website. Without Easy Storage I could not operate my business while being free to travel and enjoy my life the way I want to. Pros I compared various software solutions for self storage. This software was the simplest to set up, simpliest to understand, and cleanest to use. It lacks all the bells and whistles no one will really use but places the important functions right in front where you need them. I love the automation for the storage business. Tech Consumer Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Good platform for remote management | Could use some work" January 2, 2018 4.0 They have a lot of experience an have a good start on what a good backend platform for storage units should be. I can't wait until they get there. Pros It was super easy to set up and the team behind it is great and very responsive. All I had to do was give them information and they set up practically everything for me Cons I wish the backend was cleaner and had more options (especially on the web design side). There are quite a few inconsistencies and things that don't make much sense. An example of inconsistency: when making a new customer, you must enter an email address for them in order to complete the form, but when automating the input with a .csv file, the email is NOT required. An example of nonsense: The navigation section under the page titles are a mess. When you're on the dashboard, it displays "HOME/REPORTS/DASHBOARD", why is it under reports, first of all? And second, when you click "HOME" it just brings you to the same page, so "HOME" and a myriad of other top-level links aren't accessible, or (more likely) the hierarchy isn't being properly represented in this navigation section. Maybe it's not supposed to be a navigation section, but more of a category section... But it looks and acts like a navigation section... Review Source RZ Rebecca Z. Pros This software changed everything for running our self storage business, it handles all aspects of the business and has freed up so much time for other projects. From accounting to just simply keeping track of customers it truly sets the standards for business owners. Life became easy after finding and using this software. I highly recommend it! Cons Some features of the software are not so easy to figure out but the customer service techs are so knowledgeable and willing to help and with such patience that I never worry about the hard stuff. This software makes it easy to keep everything we need in one place and not have to login to the other facilities separately. I feel like I'm a pretty experienced user with this software. Pros The best part is the exceptional customer service they provide if you have questions. With the ability to now have multiple facilities with 1 central login, it makes having more than 1 location a little easier. Cons Some of the reports don't provide the information needed. As we have several other companies, two of which are over 30 years old, we have had our share of software to either help run the actual company or to run our many pieces of equipment within the various companies. Although I have never given a recommendation about any software we purchased, I feel it is appropriate to say that this software has been absolutely perfect and that it works way beyond what we were expecting. One last comment. My staff has made a couple of minor recommendation to the software staff and they made the adjustments while on the phone. Pros Very powerful program. Very reasonable cost. Cons cannot manually generate a text message to a customer For some reason our manager user name is the default user name for all customers so when I am on customer profile page I have to manually delete that info each and every time or I can't exit the screen. Pros Kept up with my customers storage payments and late fees. Provides me with billing reports lost revenues, availability to let me know of empty storage units, and customers on waiting list. The ability to let customers login to their accounts and rent and pay storage bill online. These are just a few things that this software does for me. It does a lot more. The customer service behind easy storage is A+ quality and everyone I have spoken to is extra friendly and eager to help. They are also very good with updating the software to make it even more manageable and user friendly. Cons There are very few things I dislike. I wish they had an option under the customer's tab to select multiple customers that you wish to apply the same function. The team was helpful during the transition. It is very easy to use and I am happy with the product overall. Cons The monthly cost seems a little expensive to me. I am a 78 unit facility and would like the cost to be around 50% of what it is now. I have experience with multiple software packages. ESS is a great "VALUE" software. You get a lot of power and options for the price. When you are operating a small storage facility you can't afford to have a custom programmed website and your own credit card processor. With ESS they will process credit cards for your facility at lower rates than it would cost me to have my own CC processor. Pros Website was included in my monthly cost of the software. Very fair pricing for their services. Tech Support is very helpful and knows how to answer my questions. Cons Limited capability--It doesn't have near the options that Sitelink does. It is good for a storage facility with less than 200 units. I would not use for a large facility with multiple people working in the office. Review Source pR paul R.
