Better constituent tracking.

Pros

Copying previous emails makes it very easy to create new ones. Once you learn the functions, it is simple and straight forward to create emails.

Cons

It would save time if brand colors could be saved to a palette for fonts and background colors in emails so that it isn't necessary to type them in each time I create a new row or title. I have repeatedly found that the text adds a return prior to completely filling a line. I have removed formatting, and it doesn't change this problem.

Network for Good is a vast improvement over our previous donor software. It has streamlined our donations process, clean our data, allowed us to increase monthly giving and have a more robust reporting process.

Pros

Network for Good has an easy to use reports and filters with it’s own built in email platform. They have great, easily accessible customer service. It works great as a donor database and processor.

Cons

I would like the ability to change the format of our donation page (s). While NFG is not a CRM, it would still be helpful to be able to use the groups function more fully.

### "The Network for Good is Helping Non Profits do Good"

Overall the experience has been good. The pre-fab campaigns have removed the guess from the process. Once the development department is more established, this will be very helpful. I also love the ability to say "thank you very easily in several different ways. But, by far, my most valuable tool is personal fundraising coaching. It has been a great support to help talk through and think through development questions, challenges, and strategies. Our organization has been through a lot of unforeseen changes that my coach has walked through. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has been awesome!

Pros

The software overall is user-friendly. I appreciate the pre-fab campaigns and timelines that help keep you on track. I also appreciated the data migration process.

Cons

While I find the recommended filters are helpful, my least favorite feature is creating filters. I have had a hard time learning the system and therefore underutilized the feature.

### "Easy to use, efficient donor management program!"

The biggest benefit will be the time saved using this program. The support has been good and the free office hours and onboarding support has been very helpful. I like that we can do email and text blasts and thank you letters are auto-generated.

Pros

You can easily create custom fields for each contact, it's very easy to navigate, printing reports is pretty straightforward.

Cons

The most difficult part was exporting the data from our previous database because it was not a normal/widely used database. But NFG worked with us and actually imported our data a lot sooner than we anticipated.

The interactions with the sales team felt more personal and we received almost immediate responses when we had questions prior to signing on.

Pros

It is really easy to get started using NFG's resources or doing it yourself. People respond to you quickly.

Cons

I am grandfathered in because I used the Giftworks product from Frontstream. New users in my network would like an everyday fundraising page that looks like ours however it is not available to them. The everyday fundraising pages could be improved.

Overall all we've had a positive experience over the past four years. This was our first DMS, so anything was going to be an improvement!

Pros

Easy to use the product, easy to manage data. Responsive support.

Cons

Some aspects of the user interface is clunky and unintuitive. Also lacks some functionality that we have discovered would be useful. Lacks social media integration for emails, which is a feature that was actually mentioned in our demo, but does not actually exist.

their webinars are extremely helpful for navigating the software by also in 'how-to's for recruiting and retaining contacts and donors.

Pros

When we started we were of course leery about time and cost for our small non profit. But the more we used it the more we found it beneficial for keeping track of donors, thank you notes, and webinar features that are super helpful.

Cons

cost. and the limit on numbers of contacts we can hav as per cost...that is; cost increases as numbers of contacts increase....even if we gain a few contacts and we are over the 500 by 1 contact, the cost for this feature rises much more than benefit to us.

The options to create professional looking e-blast templates, monitor response rates to appeals and emails has been a game-changer for our donor and volunteer communications.Quick and easy donor acknowledgements via email using templates that can be individualized to the donor and sent--saving so much time, printing supplies and postage, while giving better donor response.GAllery of other non-profit templates for inspiration.Access to support articles.

Cons

It may just be my "newness" to the software, but the Create Filter feature seems a bit cumbersome. I'd like to be able to select an existing filter to use as a template rather than starting anew.

I have been able to consolidate the utilization of multiple apps into this one app. It is simple to use and learn and makes it so much easier to communicate with my donors. I am to easily send out thank you letters, set up templates and manage my donor platform much easier.

Pros

Love the email blasts for newsletter, donation tracking, campaign creation for events and for everyday giving and so much more! So easy to use and if I have any questions, I get answers right away and they always follow-up to make sure I don't have any other questions.

Cons

When setting up my event, that has multiple dates available for the event, I would love to be able to set it up as one campaign with a drop down for the different dates for them to pick from. It would make it simpler, I believe.

I find NFG vert easy and quick to use. All needed information is easily accessible. I especially appreciate that NFG has many tools especially designed to help nonprofits fundraise. They continually develop new features and are very responsive to suggestions to expand specific features. While their chat support is not live, they are thorough and responsive to assistance requests.

Cons

When we switched ro NFG all of the fields didn't match my old do or management system so I had to manually change things like some of the greetings.

### "Excellent Donor Management / Communication Software"

We are very happy with selecting Network for Good. We did in-depth research and demos with 8 donor management software companies. Our team that did the research unanimously selected Network for Good.

Pros

The software provides a foundation for donor management and communication with donors. We easily loaded our contacts from Mailchimp(c) and financial information from Quickbooks (c). The system is easy to use. It notifies us when a donation is made. I can check it on the phone. My favorite feature is that donations can be acknowledged with an individual custom video, easily made on your phone or laptop and sent to the donor via text or email. Our donors LOVE this. Reasons we selected the software were it automatically generates a receipt to donors that donate online; it was easy to set up; and the cost was reasonable.

Cons

There are some missing features. I would like to be able to send a video thank you do donors. At least I'd like to save a vdeo and send to many people. During our main giving season and gala, when donations are rapidly coming in, I would have to record numerous individual videos every night. I'd like to record a video and then send. Also, I would like to generate an automatic receipt for donations not thru our website, those sent in by check that we enter into the system.

From a great representative to a great software program, N4G has changed so many things at our center. We are able to integrate with our accountant on Quickbooks, and being able to send out acknowledgement letters or emails immediately is a massive time saver. Even designing and sending out our quarterly newsletter has been a money saver, as we can just blast it out to emails and save on postage from mailing. This is just a great product, and everyone loves it!

Pros

From entering a new client to setting someone up for a recurring donation, this software has helped my agency get organized and productive

Cons

Training is a bit frustrating, and I wish I could customize my campaigns more.

This has been a nightmare, time consuming work arounds.

Pros

The Engage portion is ok, email integration, but still doesn't push info into CRM, or CRM does not push to Engage.

Cons

The CRM does not work for Canadian organisations with regard to receipting - big fail! It also doesn't automatically process direct debit donations, big fail! TERRIBLE response from support team. Reports are flawed, have holes, there are more workarounds to make sure that the right things are included and excluded.

It has been a positive transition and I do not regret moving over to this platform and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to upgrade their fundraising platform.

Pros

I love that it is a one-stop shop. I can email and manage a newsletter, run a fundraising campaign, do peer-to-peer fundraising, manage monthly donors, send and track thank you and donor engagement, and so much more.

Cons

Learning something new takes time and as a human being I want everything NOW. I have had to take time to learn the system and I am still learning.

Pros

As with any software we do run into problems from time to time. What we have come to depend on is that everytime we run into a problem, we get a solution from the support team. In terms of functionality, the things we like the most are: - Email toll is easy to use, setup and send - Ticket Sales - We are a community center so pre-COVID we did lots of in-house events, and post-COVID we now do lots of virtual events. Its been great for both uses - Creating Donation Pages - The WYSIWYG editor is intuitive and easy to use. Setting up new donation pages takes just a few minutes! - End of Year reporting - Pretty self-explanatory - Quickbook Integration -

Cons

There are a few features, and I would really describe it as bells and whistles that would be nice to have. But value to feature to money it really is tough to beat Network for Good.

### "It's Like Having Another Staff Member to Help!"

I have saved time. I used the new functions of cute emails and video messages and received instant response from several donors about how much they appreciated something novel. I love the accuracy, the graphs, the helpful suggestions and the reminders of tasks to do. The trainings are great and the customers service is far superior to anything I have experienced.

Pros

It's easy to use and there is daily training when needed. There are so many jobs it does automatically that I used to have to do myself. the savings in time is wonderful.

Cons

Data entry took a couple of times to get it right, but the NFG staff got right on it. The price was higher than our agency had planned. While the Board was nervous about the price, I feel the software is priceless because of the ease of use and the time it saves. The sales person was very aggressive and annoyed my boss. He could have lost a sale. Quality of the product won out.

It has been very easy to learn to use Network for Good's software over the last six months since I began my current position. It is very intuitive and has made my transition into the nonprofit world that much easier.

Pros

The donor management database features and the donation tracking are very easy to use, but also have all the necessary features and metrics to keep track of our progress. The availability of assistance from NfG employees has also been excellent. I never have to wait long and I always have my question answered.

Cons

There's nothing that we are particularly missing, but I wish it were easy to personalize and export letters (i.e. for the traditional mail) in Network for Good. I generally do that in Google Drive instead, but it would be convenient to be able to do everything in Network for Good. That said, no major complaints.

Outstanding. I always appreciate the ease w/chat support.

Pros

I most love the integration between the email service provider and donor database. It was easy to set up and I LOVE that the sync automatically. I have worked as a consultant for nonprofits and used lots of different software. This one is by far the easiest to set up and maintain and is the most intuitive for user-friendliness.

Cons

There are some elements of customization that I wish were easier. For example, I would like to de-activate some campaigns and designations and just want them to not show up in drop-downs for user ease, but my only option is to delete them altogether.

1) They are providing inaccurate data. That makes it difficult to analyze information to make decisions. 2) They know they are providing inaccurate data, but are not taking action to correct it. 3) Customer service representatives told me this has been an issue for some time and yet they are still not fixing it. They suggested I call back every few months.

Hi Julie! This is Liz with the customer team at Network for Good. I spoke with my colleague, Kristine, who talked with you about the question you had about your data. I learned that the issue you are experiencing has to do with how our system reports ticket sales vs donations that are synced from your Network for Good Fundraising Pages. Currently, the system reports the two separately. From what I understand from your conversation with Kristine is that you'd like for this information to all be included in the lifetime giving total. We've given this feedback to our tech team who will research this with other customers to see if it's a common request. I do want to make sure that you know that the data (tickets sales vs donations) is not inaccurate! But I do realize that how it's reported makes you feel less confident about using the data to analyze your donor's giving history. I am sorry for that. The NFG complete package and approach made this an excellent experience that I think is especially good for organizations who don't have lot of expertise in house. Intuitive software, dedicated trainers, patient support and friendly follow-up is what made the difference for us.

Pros

We are a young organization but growing fast and needed to get a solid foundation in place for development. The NFG software made easy work of the process we all dreaded - getting our manual spreadsheets entered quickly and accurately into one system. There is terrific training available (with very knowledgeable and patient people) and the software is very intuitive. After learning some of the basics, I was quickly able to filter and edit donor information, create emails with artwork and video, and much more. We had great follow up from the support team, who were all so friendly and encouraging as we were getting started.

Cons

Our organization had a couple of challenges with our intitial setup - the direct deposit link and a domain name issue. For most people these are easy, standard setups with no issues but we had to work with the team several times on this. One feature that would be helpful is if an "email blast" could be copied over and recategorized as a "donation acknowledgement." You can go in a different way to use an email blast for a donor acknowledgement but you lose the efficiency of the acknowledgement system. It takes a little bit of time to understand the different ways to use the communication pieces but each one is very easy to set up.
