June 21, 2022 5.0 My overall experience with NFG has been wonderful. I have been working with them for over 9 years, between the two nonprofits I have been affiliated with. Pros The donor management system is very easy to use and understand. Setting up campaigns can be a little tricky until you learn the ropes, but there is always a customer service person eager to help. The integration process of all our donors was seamless. A key aspect I use is reporting, and there are frequent updates to built in reports and performance dashboards. I love the new update to the donor detail report. I am able to get the information I need quickly and accurately. Cons I find the cultivation feature a bit clunky. We are still using excel spreadsheets to keep track of this type of work. Although we still keep notes in salsa, the leg work needed to set up and efficiently use the the cultivation feature may be more work for us than its worth. We have generated additional funds through the fundraising platform. Pros This product integrates well with our systems and allows us to track donations, provide reports to specific donors. Also, it's very user friendly. Cons Actually, I've not found anything to date that I don't like. Need to have more seamless online experience and let people purchase 100% online. I do not want to have to speak with someone multiple times to set up a new system especially since I have been using for years. You should have a fast track to set up for existing users and please do not send so many emails. Pros Like that this system is online and I can run campaigns and manage individual donors and also do events. Cons I did not like that it took more than a day to set up. Set up should be seamless and instant. Also, I wanted set up to be online. Like you pay and you are set up with tutorials. Also, way, way too many emails. I do not have time for all these emails. Pros Collecting donations, registering for meetings/events, posting events on our website, sending out videos and thank you letters, sending newsletters is so much easier, keeping up with donor funds is very easy Cons Integration was pretty easy, and support was there if needed help. Keeping donors information update and making sure we have the right information is sometimes challenging. I would really like to be able to send donor information that we have periodically to donors to confirm we have correct information and if not they could correct and it makes the changes in the system. The Network for Good platform offers everything we needed for our small non-profit. If offers all of the features that we needed....text to give, donation link to our web page, email blasts, donor acknowledgement and more.... Cons There don't really seem to be any cons to this software. The on-boarding meetings with Network for Good were very helpful. Once we started using the system regularly, it was all very easy to manage. Cost is always an issue for small non-profits - but we think we get enough "bang for our buck" to make it worthwhile. Pros We really appreciate that we can track and manage donor interactions, giving, and reports that show trends of giving throughout our organizations past few years. The ability to create customized campaign pages and linking them to our website is a huge factor for us. We also love the "mail out" feature that allows us to print giving statements, thank you letters, labels, and more. President Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Keep looking" August 9, 2022 3.0 If you just need a simple tracking system, Salsa CRM is good, but very expensive for just that ability. For integrating peer to peer and other functionality, we found it clunky. There were other options that, if not cheaper, were at least vastly better at performing tasks. Pros The features are more robust than some of the other software we had used, so it seemed like a good move from our old software. My favorite feature is probably the ability to leave a prominent note about a contact. Cons The conversion from our old software did not go smoothly and they were less than sympathetic about helping us, even though we paid for them to do the conversion. Ultimately, the software was not as robust as we understood that it would be, and the API interactions were sometimes problematic. Review Source CR Carol R. I recommend it to all of my clients. Unfortunately, some have invested way too much money in other CRMs. I am considering only working with clients open to working with NFG. I truly believe that small- to mid-sized nonprofits are only well-served by NFG. Pros Ease of use, exceptional support and access to ongoing, germane professional development. Cons I would like to see examples of campaign communications, such as #GivingTuesday and Year-End Appeal giving pages for newbies to riff off of or provide guidance. October 18, 2021 5.0 Overall, I have been very pleased with this product - would recommend to any nonprofit. Pros I love the user interface. Very easy to use, more features than many other crms. I have had great support experiences. LOVING the silent auction module! Cons It is more pricey than other, newer crms. If you use the payment processing (credit cards) you only receive the funds once per month so if you are dependent on daily batching for cash flow purposes, it is a long time to wait. I'm pretty sure you can get more frequent payouts but I'm not sure what conditions are tied to it. Review Source MH Melissa H. I worked with trainer \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] for the first three months, and this training was more than worth the additional cost. She made sure I understood all the features -- especially the ones I would have ignored if no one had showed me how to use them -- so I now feel qualified to get the most out of what the system has to offer and confident to explore new features. I almost actually love fiddling around with my donor database now. It's fun! What used to be a nightmare is now a pleasure in my day-to-day job. Pros Network For Good delivers on ALL the claims they make during the sales process. It has everything I need, and nothing I don't need. It is simple and intuitive to use. It is reliable. Training and support opens doors to features I would not have explored on my own. I trust the data and the reports. Because it is so well-tailored to my small non-profit, it allows me to do so much more with the information than I have ever been able to do before. Cons One tiny thing -- we are located in a summer resort community where many of our donors live elsewhere in the winter, and there is not an option to track two home addresses. My workaround, however, was easy. I simply put the summer or winter address in the Employment Information section as the company address. Voila! Problem solved! Reason for choosing Bonterra Network for Good My salesperson \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was extremely professional throughout the process. Pros In the areas that we use frequently the system is fairly easy to use. I know it can do a lot more for us but I don't know how to use those functions. Cons The customer service is not great. If you have a question or need help you have to go through the chat box and you get a video to watch. Maybe I am just old and not too techy but a real person would be much more helpful. I am never in a situation where I have time to watch a video to get an answer. Reason for choosing Bonterra Network for Good The original salesman that I worked with was wonderful. He walked me through the system and the programs that we needed and I was able to call him in person for answers to my questions. The campaign pages have been incredibly useful and we were able to implement online campaigns that we had never done previously. We were able to raise money that otherwise would not have been available without the fully online campaign pages. Pros The switch from our previous software was incredibly easy and required very little effort on our end. All donor information is easy to access and input. Each donor profile is incredibly helpful and simple to read. Cons We did not recieve training or walkthroughs of all the features available to us. We have slowly over time found on our own what features we can use. The features are all helpful, however, half of them we didn't even know existed for months. We happened to stumble upon pages that had available features like mass texting for example. There was also little help on learning how to build a report or track a report. January 31, 2022 5.0 So far, this system has been useful in giving our nonprofit agency a way to fundraise and track donors all in one system. Because of this, I can see us using this system for many years to come. Pros I just started using this software, but I like that we can track all of our donors in one system, make different contact lists such as "donors" or "board members," and I especially like the scripts it provides for emailing to various audiences. The first donation page I created through here helped us get a couple hundred-dollar donations on the Day of Giving! Cons The thing I dislike about this software is that when you are using different tools through it, it can be difficult to navigate back to the homepage. It would be more convenient to have a homepage button showing at all times so that anyone moving between tools doesn't have to hit the back buttons 5 to 10 times. Review Source SP Steven P. Cons No cons that I can think of. There has only been one time in the 2+ yrs we've used this software that it was down. That's an excellent record! Reason for choosing Bonterra Network for Good I looked at a lot of different software/companies. NFG always came out on top in my analysis. We had Excel spreadsheet in many different members and did not have one location for all our donor information. From our initial contact with them, through the integration of our previous system, to helping us with our day to day questions - they are top notch. We are not only saving money, we are also gaining so much information. Pros Initially it was the cost that was the largest asset, but then when we started interacting with their staff we were "won over" by their customer service. It is very user friendly, at the same time provides us with essential information in order to understand our donor data base better.
