I like that has the ability to be a one stop shop for employee facing resources and benefits.

Cons

I would like to have the ability to set reminders for things like use of benefits as well as an updated link for the Employee benefits guide.

I would describe my overall experience as positive, although there are some obvious missed opportunities. The reliance on an AI Help bot has been frustrating.

Pros

Bamboo has been easy to setup and easy to use, for both management and staff. The onboarding team was great and the experience has been positive.

Cons

My biggest frustration is that my staff cannot see their timesheets in app unless we enable the option to log in/out via app, which is something that we do not want to do. Based on this, our staff cannot see their hours via app. I had to reach out to support to get this explanation because the AI Bot said it should work (but didn't).

It has been a good experience overall, they keep raising the pricing which doesn't make sense. But for now we are okay using it.

Pros

I like that it is very user friendly. I feel like as far as HRIS tools it is incredibly easy to set up and start using. The document signing is very handy and easy to use as well.

Cons

has the bare bones when it comes to integrations. Its a great product but unless you are using their preferred software partners your toast. Otherwise you are rocking a CSV import.

I like the ability for communication on the application. We are able to give recognition to others and give company updates. Overall, our switch to has been good.

Pros

The scheduling is very easy to use, as well as time off. The amount of features is very useful as a manager.

Cons

Sometimes, it will not clock in or out, or it will stay loading when I clock out. Same with Lunches.

Pros

makes it so easy to communicate with the employer. It's straight forward and the tools and support is all right there.

Have not ran in to something I dislike yet. There are some options that I do not used but as for what I do use it for is perfect.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the software! It’s been a great addition to our resources and we continue to rely on it more and more.

Pros

It is very easy to use and navigate. We keep adding the use of more features of the software for our team and it’s been a great resource!

Cons

We use the system to track mileage and topics for 1:1s with our supervisors (among other things). I find it difficult to add mileage using the app and there is no way to even access the tab for 1:1s with my supervisor in the app.

Overall my experience has been good enough for day‑to‑day HR work. It’s not perfect but it does the job. Once you get used to where things are it’s pretty easy to use and keeps things organized. A few things could be smoother but nothing that stops you from getting work done.

Pros

I like that keeps all the HR info in one spot it just makes things easier to manage. The layout is clean and not too confusing, so you can find stuff pretty quick Time off requests and basic employee details are super simple to handle without extra steps

Cons

Some features feel a bit limited, like you expect more options but they’re not there Reports take a while to figure out and sometimes don’t show exactly what you need Support is ok but sometimes you wait longer than you want for a reply

It has a side panel and a top panel. Side panel has a home page, my info, info about the team members and files. On top is inbox, resources and settings. Home page gives a nice overview for the company. Also one can visually see the hierarchy in an org chart.

Cons

The scope of this tool is limited in this day and age. It seems outdated. Limited customisation eg for organisations with multi-entity

Love it, but it lacks the customization and data architecture that would better support us as we scale and integrate with more and more systems.

Pros

The end user experience is unrivaled. Simplicity, surfacing only the most relevant information. The approval processes allow you to comment back and forth with other approvers and clearly shows where it is in the approval flow.

Cons

The inability to add custom fields to standard tables requires the creation of separate custom tables that are not connected to standard tables and requires the duplication of data. The approval workflows should be more customizable in the order and quantity of approvers and even more dynamic of who the approvers are.

Overall, my experience with has been really solid. It takes care of the essentials smoothly and genuinely streamlines day-to-day operations. There are a few moments where I wish the system were more flexible, but the overall workflow is reliable, clear, and easy to work with.

Pros

What I appreciate most about is the clarity it brings to daily operations. It’s user-friendly, reliable, and streamlines the entire workflow so everything (and everyone) moving smoothly.

Cons

What I like the least about is the lack of flexibility in certain areas. It’s great for the basics, but when you need something slightly outside the template it gets much harder to do.

We've loved it and it has definitely saved us a lot of time. I do hope to shop around for more of their products in the future. I've also very grateful that the phone application is almost identical to the website.

Pros

I really like how employees have control over their own independent input and the access to notification options. The phone application is intuitive and website is just as easy to navigate which makes the overall software less confusing for new users. Payroll is also easy to keep track of and keeping up with employee attendance is a very simple process thanks to the open access.

Cons

I wish there were more options to set up templates for when employees are scheduled to work so that it could be an all-in-one application for both scheduling and payroll. The software is great, just needs some more expansion on minor potentials.

We loved , and I do miss it. However, we grew so much in size, that BambooHR could no longer support us the way we needed, and we found ourself doing a lot of manual processes on our own.

Pros

For me: the simplicity. The employees would say they liked that it showed a live countdown to the minute of how many hours/seconds they have worked (while still clocked in).

Cons

The limitations for larger mid-size companies. Of course, when we switched carriers I heard that they expanded their capabilities, so maybe they are better than when we used them in 2024.

I especially like the time-off management, employee records, and overall visibility of team information. It saves a lot of time compared to handling everything manually in spreadsheets or emails. Notifications and approvals are also simple and efficient.

Cons

I like the UI and how employee data is displayed and organized. I also really like that we can make our own employee onboarding forms directly in BHR and that employee's are able to upload files.

Cons

Reporting needs some work. As the payroll administrator, I need a lot of custom reports from prior dates and I struggle pulling data from very specific dates

As a user of Bamboo at a small company, I have nothing bad to say about . I mean this in the best way possible: Writing this review is the most I've ever thought about it -- it just does what it should, and otherwise gets out of your way.

Pros

From a user perspective, it just works the way that it should. It concisely and intuitively serves up the data necessary for an HR platform, it is easy to navigate, and it is easy to configure what widgets in the dash are hidden or visible to further streamline the experience.

Cons

I'm struggling a bit, because I generally don't have much negative to say about it. It's not the most lightning-fast, taking a few seconds for internal links to be followed and loaded. I would also appreciate a calendar as a first-class section, but I'm not even sure if that is a Bamboo issue or an issue in the way our organization has it set up.

I love it. I have used several different apps for timesheets and payroll tracking, this hands down the best app with the most features.

Pros

Super easy to us and navigate. Allows me to easily track all my timesheets, pay stubs and request time off. Also let's me know if their are any new company policy documents I need to sign.

Cons

It sometimes has trouble loading, but very rare. There have been a few times no one in the company could clock in.

I like having all the data relevant to my role and that o my team in one place. The interfaces are easy to navigate and show a thoughtful consideration of what might be useful to access.

Cons

I wish there were a way to bulk add time sheet information across multiple days. Since I'm salaried and my hours are typically allocated across however many jobs I'm involved in, it creates a fair amount of unnecessary repetitive work for me.

One issue I noticed is with the filter functionality in the people section. When applying a custom filter, the system tends to retain the previously used filter instead of resetting to a default view. This means that every time I revisit the section, I have to manually change or clear the filters again, which can be slightly inconvenient during regular use. It would be better if there was a default filter setting or an option to reset automatically each time. This small usability issue affects ease of use and can slow down workflows, especially when managing data frequently. Improving this would make navigation smoother and more efficient overall.

Pros

Amazing software, no issues whatsoever. Very easy to use especially when i need to log vacation or sick days

Cons

What I liked least about was that some advanced features required add-ons or separate modules, which could increase total cost. Reporting customization also felt somewhat limited for more complex needs, and larger organizations might outgrow it as requirements become more sophisticated.
