Great desgin and helps the user do the job Pros It's very simple to use and a great product. I found it online when I wanted to create a survey but I realized it's more powerful. You can pretty much do what a website builder will do.. I'll experiment more but it's super simple to use. I switched to Tally and have not looked back. Pros I like that Tally gives me the ability to limit respondents to submitting a single form without requiring them to sign in. I also like the logic flow that lets me limit respondents' choices based on their earlier answers. Cons I have no complaints with Tally. I submitted a feature request that they have not acted on, but it was for something minor and I can understand why it wouldn't be a priority for a small team. Working in a secondary school (in Scotland), communication parents/carers is a key part of my job so the ability to use Tally is super helpful. It is different, it seems to engender more responses and those responses are richer in detail. Pros Functionality; it is easy to use, clearly set out and removes the dreaded formatting death spiral that Microsoft Forms puts you through. Creating a form is simple, distributing it a one click job and tracking replies is effortless. Cons The onloy one I can find is collating the responses into a spreadsheet; it feels a wee bit clunky but this may be either a) Excel or b) my lackof experience using CSV's. Tally beautifully connects with other tools I use like Zapier, airtable, google spreadsheets. Pros It is the simplest way to make a custom form that is either basic or uses conditional logic. love! the interface is easy on the eyes and intuitive to use. Cons The images upload slowly, so it's not great for an image upload heavy form like a build inspection ect. We began using Tally in late summer of this year after seeing other publishers utilize it for their news quiz. We were looking for a similar, cost-effective solution, and decided to give Tally a shot. I can hardly express how much we've loved using Tally for so many different use cases! Our publication has utilized Tally for everything from reader surveys and market research to interactive "news quizzes", general feedback forms, and, more recently, to encourage our readers to share their stories and submit photos and videos for use in our stories. Our team continually uses Tally to innovate new ways to interact with our readership and manage projects or internal forms. I would highly encourage any individual, organization, business, etc. to give Tally a try and see for yourself how easy it is to use, and how much simpler it makes day to day work and operations better! If you want a free form that allows you to create a from that shows x when y is selected, or direct to different paths based on answers, or calculate based on selections, this is the one. Cons User interface is technical, not easy to adopt for non technical people. Conditional setting is simple with constraints, need to think about how to fit its system logic to do what i want to do. But you can already get more done than other forms. No caps on the number of free tier survey responses is nice too, since so many survey builders punish you for being successful and getting lots of responses. Cons If I had to name something, I'd say that the way ranking question responses are displayed in your data is a bit odd, but it's nothing that can't be cleaned up with AI within a minute of exporting my survey results. Cons I still can't believe that they have no default for the Time field, or control, or whatever it's officially called. I mean, would it really be that hard to let us have a "Now()" or something? The integrations are awesome. I've been able to create forms that integrate directly into my Notion databases seamlessly. I love it! Tally replaced an expensive CRM I was using with just about an hour of building and integrating. Cons I haven't found anything in the app that I don't like. Before Tally, I'd only used Google Forms and Typeform. Typeform's pricing wasn't a fit for me and I didn't like their one question per screen UI. And Google Forms always looked old-school and boring. So when I found Tally, the immediate attractor was how clean the UI looked. A form that actually looked good for once Since then, I've used Tally for various use cases. Used it to build a graded quiz (as a fun game for my newsletter). Used it to build a BuzzFeed-style quiz as a lead gen tactic for the SaaS company I worked for. Used it to collect registrations for a fun event with my friends. Used it to do a fun Valentine's Day quiz for my partner. Used it to collect feedback and testimonials from clients when I did consulting In all, I'm a big fan of Tally. I think it's a really great tool and the free tier is very generous Pros Very easy to use! And they had a lot of templates I could lean on. Was wondering if I could create logic-based quizzes for lead generation and I found one once I checked templates. That quiz has been taken over 12k times now btw. I like that I was also able to embed the form into my website without any engineering help Cons I did have some hesitation when I first signed up because it was so different from Google Forms UI which I was used to Would also be great if I could import an already-created Google Form into Tally. When I first signed up, I'd just created a 30-question quiz in Google Form (before I decided to try Tally) and it was frustrating having to create it all over again in Tally. Powerful features, intuitive and easy to use UI, and they're super generous with the free tier. It feels like it's been built by people who get how their users want to use these tools. Pros It's a great feature set and easy to use. Useful integrations and they're very generous with the free tier. You don't feel like you're being grifted but instead you upgrade because you'll get more value, not because they've trapped you into bringing this into your stack then made upgrading the only way to make it realistically possible to use the tool, as other platforms do. Cons I don't have any major gripes. They're still building out features so not 100% of what you might theoretically want is already there, but a lot of it is.
