Earlier this year, a pet sitter on Facebook recommended Scritches and although it does have features geared towards drop-in's as well, it does work pretty decently for my boarding service so I decided to give it a go and so far I'm pleased! Pros I do like the report cards both photo/video, the client portal and the online booking website. I'm still learning as I go but so far all is going well. Cons I have run into a few glitches where it's not saving my dates correctly and I'm a bit of an OCD person so some features can be irritating but with their feedback forum they are super quick to respond and do what they can to make us happy which I appreciate so much! It makes it easier to manage bookings as i dont have to over-clutter my texts as much with so many people requesting bookings through text, Invoices help me gauge what my income will be like, and help make it a bit easier to track what ive made this year. Cons A lot of menus sometimes mean the stuff im looking for gets buried, and the menus can get complex at times, i wish i could have a list version for the multiple pet pricing as scrolling through huge boxes makes me lose my place sometimes. The interface is really slick, and I'm glad I don't need yet another app on my phone to use it. The report cards are really cute and a nice feature! Cons Very occasionally, there are some bugs in the user interface. These are typically pretty minor and don't impact my day-to-day usage of the software. I love the calendar option where I can block dates and times, the client reports are adorable and all in all its very easy to use. The admin takes your requests for changes seriously and is constantly tweaking it to make it even better. I give them two paws up! Pros I love the personal client support, the appearance of the software and ease of use for my clients. The client reports for their pets is what really "sold" me, absolutely adorable. I was using Pet Sitter Dashboard prior which is similar to TTP and clearly outdated with customer support lacking along with invoicing issues. I'm very happy with my decision with switching and looking forward to seeing this software improve even more. If you want to ditch an outdated software, highly recommend going with Scritches! Pros Affordability, great customer support and feedback, easy to use on both sides, loving the report cards, and the booking page is a nice bonus. Cons It was a bit to get used to at first but once you play around with everything, its easy to figure out. The interface feels clean and fresh. I’ve tried other systems and they all felt like someone built them in 2010. With Scritches I find myself clicking around naturally, instead of always thinking “ugh where is that button”. It doesn’t feel like I need a manual just to check my schedule or configure my business. Pros The booking system is the best I’ve seen. I used to piece things together with Square appointments, Calendly, and a few random forms to collect pet info and inquiries, but none of it felt made for sitters. Scritches on the other hand matches my whole process in one place, and the experience feels easy. I’ve always wanted my booking flow to feel as simple for clients as Rover makes it, but still under my own business, and that's finally possible. My clients also love it. I try to maintain a clean, modern, and well designed feel to my brand, and Scritches matches that perfectly. Cost wise: when you’re doing everything yourself and you’re counting every dollar, it matters. It’s refreshing to have something that doesn’t feel overpriced or packed with features I’ll never use. Cons There are a couple of small things I want to call out. For example, I’d like somewhat more flexibility over how booking notifications get sent to clients (email vs text vs nothing). Also, since the app is newer, certain things like a well documented Help Center are still a work in progress. It’s sleek and looks so nice and crisp. Some of the competitors are very clunky looking like they are from the 90’s and I feel that Scritches only further reinforces my company branding. Pros I was looking for pet sitting software that allowed clients to self book without being immediately hit by a login wall or needing to download an app. My desire was to make the booking process as clean and efficient as possible to appeal to millennials booking from bed at 11pm :) Scritches is perfectly aligned with my ideal customer who expects this sort of modern experience. Additionally, one of my requirements was the ability to have clients e-sign agreements and fill out intake forms as part of the onboarding process. The workflow is really intuitive for me. I absolutely love the look and feel of the app and can’t wait to keep growing my business. Any time I have an issue or notice a bug, it is handled within hours. Customer service is top notch. Cons Blocking out time feels a bit cumbersome. For example, when I click on a calendar date to block out availability, the prompt pops up without reflecting the date I clicked on. No big deal though. Eventually, I would like a chatting or messaging feature with clients.
