Pros We have been using LogicalDOC for 2 years now which has given me a complete perpective, I can say that it is excellent for document management I like that it allows us to store, edit and share various types of documents online. It supports on-premises and cloud-based platforms, and integrates with popular apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, Outlook, and Microsoft Office. You can also use its security authentication feature to protect your confidential documents from unauthorized access, they are very concerned and careful about the security aspect, Logicaldoc has been a great tool for our workgroups who need to collabrate on different documents in a synchronized manner and efficient. Cons It is a software with many tools, but it is not perfect, from my perspective there are some points that need to be improved, it is somewhat complex for people who do not have technical knowledge, for which they need training and an adaptation period, the installation is not as simple, it still requires technical knowledge, its interface needs to be more user friendly, there are other similar software that have a better UX than logicalDoc. IT consultant Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Results are different to Xerox Docushare" February 2, 2017 5.0 We decided with the company I work with as freelance to migrate the old docushare version they had (6.5) to LogicalDoc as it offered most of the desirable features. The issue was that comparing the results having the same documents in the database and recently indexed, what prevented us to leave LogicalDoc as the replacement of docushare was that LogicalDoc showed different results. After this, we analyzed the documents presented thinking that maybe LogicalDoc had a better algorithm than Docushare, but unfortunately no, my client called it "inaccurate". The list of the documents presented by LogicalDoc missed the most important documents shown as the most accurate ones by Docushare. All documents stored had the following extensions: .doc, .docx, pdf, rtf. The GUI is very easy to use and understand, the integration with Outlook and other Office products makes using the system quick and easy. From an IT standpoint, it uses minimal resources and has a small foot print. Cons I least like that the support team is based in Italy, it makes working out issues some what challenging however - the hours that they are available they are quick to respond and very knowledgeable. After an intensive search for a system for document management for our townships, clients and for our Geographic Information System (GIS) the focus lies on LogicalDOC because it conforms best to our requirements. Our most important criteria were as follows: programming interface (API), connection to Office, Web solution, easy handling, document versioning system, historization, mature and established search engine algorithm, deployed technology. Most important is the programming interface that enables us to develop our own applications which communicate with DMS. Such we developed an interface to our WebGIS which allows us to retrieve documents of the DMS. The quick and uncomplicated support and the flexibility concerning customer requests is commendable as well. Moreover the product outperforms with regard to the cost-performance ratio.
