The Adaptive software continues to amaze me at the capability and scope and their customer service is sensational. You can get help on chat almost immediately and their team is consistently open and responsive to feedback from customers. Reasonably priced as well. Recommend 100% Pros It cuts my data entry and tracking time for accounts payable almost completely and accounts payable cycle steps all in one place. Invoices funnel automatically from email into Adaptive or easily uploaded, initial AI invoice data entry, and pay vendors right within Adaptive through ACH with a button click, separate credit card receipt tracking. Invoice and receipt images are paired with expense entries and linked to Quickbooks so I don't need invoice/receipt documentation files. Info syncs bill/receipt/payments to Quickbooks software. I only have a few idiosyncrasies that I do manually and/or edit. Managing vendor paperwork as well... so much ease and capability for my job in one place! Cons It's a learning curve on set ups and I do encounter bugs with the software (specifically syncing with Quickbooks desktop) but customer service is very responsive to help and I have seen that the Adaptive team almost always fixes bugs permanently as they come up. I am even more excited now that Adaptive starting integrating with Ressio. I believe there is no better software out there for accounting for Homebuilders Pros It saves me hours of manual data entry each month and makes sure I don't miss accounting for costs. Also, I love Adaptive's customer support and how fast they are innovating and adding new features. It is great when it started, and it has just gotten better. Cons The reporting function feels clunky and I haven't gotten the hang of it yet. Also, they have had some real issues in dealing with Vendor Credits. I can see how as our company grows, Adaptive will grow with it. Pros Adaptive has helped our small business build workflow processes, track vendor information, bill payments, and it also easily tracks and organizes our expenses and invoices. It integrates very well with Quickbooks making it very easy to keep everything organized. The customer support we've received from their live agents has always been a great experience and they always manage to resolve any ongoing issues quickly. Adaptive has been such an easy system to learn and use even for those not as tech savvy. It's been well worth the investment and I'd highly suggest it to any small business looking to upgrade or supplement their financial system. Cons With Adaptive always working on updating their systems and building new ways to build workflows, it often can come with the headache of systems not working properly. But usually once this addressed with their customer service, issues are usually resolved pretty quickly. It even turned time-consuming cost-plus billing into clean, bulletproof invoices in seconds. My old spreadsheets are crying in the trailer wearing a hard hat. Adaptive didn’t just adapt, it hijacked the crew and is already bidding my next job. Absolute game-changer. Pros The way it adapts to my financial disasters like a pro therapist who also moonlights as a chaos wrangler. I dump in receipts that look like they were written by a raccoon on Red Bull, and Adaptive just goes “I got you, queen” and turns it into beautiful, balanced numbers. It’s the only thing in my life that actually improves when I panic-add more mess. 11/10, my new favorite non-human relationship. Cons It adapts so aggressively it started roasting our past job costing like a grumpy foreman on a Monday morning. I'll open last month's reports and it hits me with “Really? Another $4,800 on ‘miscellaneous materials’? Bold move for a guy who still can’t keep his change order log straight.” The accuracy hurts worse than stepping on a nail in flip-flops. After implementing Adaptive, I was saving an average of $100/mo within 5 months, and that average is now up to $200/mo in savings--this INCLUDES adding the monthly fee for Adaptive, so it has much more than paid for itself. Pros I like how it replaces the need to enter items into Quickbooks. It is very good at grabbing nearly all the important info from the bills and receipts that I send, and it's always improving. Cons Really no cons for me--it would be cool if it replaced Quickbooks entirely, but I doubt that's on the horizon! Pros We love this software and have commented that it makes the bookkeeping process so much more fun and enjoyable. Our accounting system was outdated and this is exactly what we needed to revamp it. It's looks professional both to the client (via draws) and subcontractors (via ACH payments, lien waiver, document/insurance tracking).
