Our experience with Baseline was exceptional, specifically due to the human element behind the software. Most platforms give you a login and leave you to it, but the support here is top-tier. \[sensitive content hidden\] were instrumental in our early momentum. Their support is not only fast and responsive but incredibly creative; they don’t just answer "how-to" questions—they actually help brainstorm better ways to structure our workflows within the system. It feels like they are an extension of our own team rather than just a tech vendor.

Pros

The most impressive part of Baseline is how it centralizes the entire lending lifecycle. Moving from a fragmented system of spreadsheets and disconnected tools to a single "source of truth" for origination and servicing has been a game-changer for efficiency. The automated document collection and AI-powered summaries significantly cut down on manual review time. Furthermore, the white-labeled borrower and investor portals create a "big bank" professional feel.

Cons

While the platform is incredibly powerful, there is a learning curve when you first dive into the deeper customization options for term sheets and loan products. However, any initial friction we experienced was quickly smoothed out by their onboarding team. I would love to see even more third-party integrations in the future, but the current Zapier and HubSpot connectivity already covers most of our essential needs.

### "Revolutionary Tool"

Excellent. I had tried out another application in the private lending space, and gave it a good try, 8 months. It was not intuitive. Baseline is logical and robust. I've been using it since June, 2024. It's helped me me almost double my loan volume.

Pros

The support. Technology is not always my friend, and the support staff at baseline respond almost immediately to questions. The training was designed and implemented perfectly. Baseline is also very customizable to meet your individual needs.

Cons

There were features missing at first, but the team created them upon request.

Simple to use, robust functions, and visually straightforward with a responsive support team

Pros

Baseline is a straightforward interface that is easy to learn. Our organization began implementation before I was hired but I was able to quickly move forward with implementation and historical data for a complete picture in the software. We like the portal interface for borrowers, comprehensive platform (account info, documents, etc) and the responsive customer service. We also appreciate the ability to customize document generation and platform settings without the need to work with the engineering team.

Cons

After using this for the last 10 months, we definitely found functionality that seemed to be necessary but missing, or functions that did not work properly as we began implementing them. This occurs much less frequently now than it did at the beginning.

Our experience with Baseline has been overwhelmingly positive. It has streamlined our origination and processing operations and improved team collaboration.

Pros

Baseline LOS has completely transformed the way we originate and process loans. The platform is intuitive, fast, and clearly built by people who understand how lenders actually operate. The loan management workflow is seamless from application through closing, and it keeps our team aligned at every stage. Customer support has been outstanding. The team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us optimize our processes.

Cons

If I had to point out a downside, it would be that there is so much capability within the system that it takes time to fully leverage all of its features.

### "A One Stop Shop for Private Lenders"

While my critiques of the Document Management and API integrations may seem harsh, it is only because so many other aspects of the software are Tier 1. The ease and simplicity of the users to navigate and accomplish what they need is impressive. Also there is the unique and profoundly helpful ability for capital investors to also have an account on the platform. This is an absolute game changer, especially for brokers who may sell their loans or even offer fractional participation in their loans.

Pros

I love the integration of a robust servicing software that has a solid origination side. They are working to build out their origination to make it more robust for their users. Their development is intentional and methodical. They do not release "updates" that have not been thoroughly tested. There is confidence that when a release or patch is launched, it will function correctly and as expected. Their dev team is extremely communicative, and if you put in the time to send them bug or functionality reports, they will be quick to address the problem. If you have suggestions, this company really does listen to its users and makes recommendations to the platform seriously.

Cons

There are two main issues that I currently have with Baseline, Document handling framework work as well as non-existence of API integration. The biggest issue for us right now is the very rudimentary handling of documents within the platform. All documents generated will always be in Word Doc file, there is no way to generate a document in a PDF. Being able to customize loan programs, users, and loan files with specific documents or have defaulted documents for users is clunky and lacks seamless integration across the differing segments of the platform. The API integration while not critical, is non-existent, and if you would like your LOS/ Servicing software to be able to integrate into a CRM or email campaign/ responder, no luck. You will have to have a dedicated staff member transferring user contact information over to your CRM manually.

I was a faithful client and user of LendWise for many years, close to 7. My frustration was the turn over of their dev team, failure to properly test product updates and releases for bugs or functionality, and primarily for the lack of priority they put known bugs in the system. When I left LW in the summer of 2023, there were still basic, foundational bugs with the operation of their platform that had not been addressed since 2016 when I had first raised the awareness. I appreciate the leadership team at LW, however the platform constantly had issues, and I was tired of waiting for a streamlined and modern LOS platform that promised all they stated it could do.

The product and the support is great. When you use something that works, you know it was put together by people that have been there and done that and that is Baseline. It was built by people that were in the business doing what we do day in and day out, so they know what we need and they built what we need.

Pros

We love Baseline. The product is AWESOME and I don't know how we could run our business without it. We do a good volume and have a lot of applications. Baseline takes all the pain out of running a lending business!

Cons

There isn't much to not like. We were using old school spreadsheets and they have allowed us to leave those behind.

Positive. The support team is good to work with and attentive, and the product itself is extremely useful. It becomes a "hub" of sorts for your lending platform.

Pros

Baseline is simple, easy to use and easy to learn. It has the core features down pat and is a very helpful tool to manage my portfolio of loans + communicate with investors and borrowers. Overall great to use and helpful.

Cons

The ACH automated payment tool to pull in payments needs to be increased / a little smoother. This is not a Baseline "issue" rather it is with the third party payment processer, but nonetheless that is the only con I can think of it is a great software.

Pros

The software is intuitive and provides everything you need to fund a loan from origination to payoff… truly a 1 stop shop. Getting onboarded by their team is the difference maker, they are hands on with you every step of the way!

Their is nothing to dislike but I do look forward to them continuing to add features to the platform!

Baseline has been a refreshing experience for us. Instead of working with a company that would tell us what you see is what you get Baseline was willing to listen to our needs as a lender/servicer and come up custom solutions and numerous efficiencies that save out team precious time.

Pros

Their product is what we needed and not a bunch of add-ons that have no particular use to us. Baseline also had several efficiencies that saved us a ton of time and manual inputting.

Cons

We don't have any complaints as of yet. Baseline is still rolling out features so it may be earlier on the product development side but we are excited about this as they are more than willing to accept your input.

Reason for choosing Baseline

We had a better Interaction with the owners of Baseline which enabled us to get the development we needed on a timely manner and not outsourced to a third party.
