Pros

If I had to pick one thing, it’s the control we got back. The platform makes it easy to own our online ordering, customer data, and marketing without relying on third-party apps that drain margins. Cons

curve early on — not because it’s overly complicated, but because the platform does a lot more than the average restaurant system. Once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth, but the first week takes a little focus to explore everything and dial it in.

Overall, it’s been a very positive experience. \[sensitive content hidden\] has been a pleasure to work with, as has \[sensitive content hidden\]. I was impressed by how quickly the website was able to get up and running, and I really like that I can now make edits directly on the backend myself. Previously, I would have had to go through two or three different channels just to update widgets, photos, or general information, so this has been a huge improvement. I’m also excited about the SEO efforts, which are already starting to gain some momentum. Overall, I’d rate the experience at about 85% positive. The remaining 15% is related to catering not yet being available on the mobile version or the app. Aside from that, the experience has been very, very positive.

Pros

How quickly the website got up and running. The speed at which the website went live, apple pay and google pay options are seamless for the consumer, it's as the amazon for restaurants.

Cons

Not being able to have our catering on the app or mobile version. I hope the can fix this soon as this was the main objective for installing the technology.

Overall, it's a very positive experience. The support staff is always polite and esger to assist me about my concerns.

Pros

I love the customer service and the features are really easy to use and learn. The dashboard is simple to understand as well.

Cons

I am only able to send out 2 text messages a month, which is extremely low. They do not have any customer segmentation features. Lastly, I wish they were more integrated with POS systems (I'm with Square). I would like to be able to 86 items on my pos and have it reflected on owner.com

Pros

We love the approach and philosophy that Owner.com offers. Their platform has given our business the opportunity to operate more efficiently by streamlining our processes and strengthening our systems. The website and marketing upgrades have been a huge plus, and we’ve seen an increase in our average check through online orders. Most importantly, our customers are happy, and the platform has been extremely easy to use.

Cons

One inconvenience we currently experience is having to manage two separate rewards programs—one for online sales and another for in-house customers. An integrated rewards system would be ideal and would create a more seamless experience for both our team and our guests. Another challenge with our current setup is the five-mile restricted delivery radius through the DoorDash integration. It would be more beneficial to have a standard delivery fee within the five-mile radius, with the option to add an incremental delivery fee for additional miles. This would allow customers outside the current radius to continue using the third-party delivery integration while maintaining delivery pricing.

Separate loyalty and gift card programs. For restaurants that use in-store gift cards or a loyalty program through their POS, Owner.com's system is often completely separate. This can cause customer confusion and create extra administrative work for the restaurant.

### "They bring you more business by offering constant crazy discounts at your expense"

During the initial 'marketing' calls they were all about communication, Once I signed up and went live... Crickets! Zero communication. My assigned 'rep' no longer responds to messages. They had talked about all the awesome features in the backend portal but once I was signed up and actually had access to the portal, no further communication. No help navigating or understanding the backend portal. Then we got box of cards to hand out... Scan the code and get $5 off order of $20 of more. All the codes are the same so once a code is known they get posted to the internet & anyone can use them. We are in a college town so codes get spread around quick. Then I receive color posters and table tents with crazy discounts offered without ANY communication or consultation with us... So all of that went in the trash. Then we see orders coming in with discounts applied that we were not aware of. Called in to talk to a rep and asked "Who is eating the cost of these discounts?", they informed us that the discounts do indeed come out of our bottom line but it will help generate more business... What good does it do to generate more business if we lose money on the transactions??? Owner.com talks a great talk, but once they sign you up BE CAREFUL because they are extremely liberal in sending constant discounts to your customers. This may be fine for businesses with larger profit margins but we cannot afford to offer the constant crazy promotions that Owner.com sends out automatically on our behalf. Since we have ZERO control over what the promotion amounts are and can only toggle promotions on or off, we have had to disable ALL automated promotions. We also had a customer come in and try to redeem a digital Gift Card. I have physical Gift Cards we can sell through our POS but we don't have any digital cards. We poked around on "our webite" (that Owner built for us) and found that indeed, they sell digital gift cards on there but since there is no integration between our POS and Owner.com, we have NO WAY to redeem them in the restaurant. I assume they can be used on the website but it sure as heck would be better to say that they are only valid online as this created a pissed off customer that my staff had to deal with. A week after calling in and disabling all automated promotions and stating I wanted to ensure all discount codes were disabled, I get 2 orders with large discounts on them. Fortunately my staff caught this. Another call to support and they ultimately credited the discounts back to us but said these were valid codes because they had been sent out before we disabled the automated promotions, ignoring the fact that during the call I had been assured that all promotion codes had been disabled on our account.

Pros

Compared to the 30% whack you take from Uber or Doordash, the monthly fee ends up being a better deal.

Cons

Zero communication once they sign you up. Owner.com has tons of automated campaigns that give customers awesome discounts... Awesome for the customers, not so awesome for the business. None of them are reviewed with the business owner, they just go out to the customers and the business owner has ZERO control over what the promotion is. After receiving some orders with discounts amounting to over 30% of the order I ended up disabling all the automated programs that had been enabled (by DEFAULT) for my business. If I wanted to lose 30% or more of my gross, I could have gone with the competition! Owner needs to make these campaigns modifiable by the business owner or (for us) they are completely useless!

Honestly, there wasn’t much of a challenge at all. The setup process was straightforward and easy to follow from start to finish. Everything was clearly explained, and we were able to get up and running quickly without disruptions to our daily operations. Even with multiple locations, the transition felt smooth and well organized. Our team didn’t need extensive training, and the system worked as expected right away. Overall, the simplicity of the setup made a big difference, saving us time and avoiding the usual headaches that come with onboarding new technology.

As a restaurant owner, I was looking for ways to increase sales and found Owner.com. Initially, I didn’t know much about it, but I decided to try. To my surprise, they offer excellent technology that helps small businesses like mine grow awareness. The app was amazing!

Cons

Setting up the demo. They are scheduling too far in advance. I was looking for something sooner. However, they contacted me quickly and explained their services. I agreed after that and immediately received a Zoom demo with one of their reps.

Onboarding was incredibly easy and informative. The learning curve is also very small. Very intuitive back end to make updating our webiste and menu incredibly easy.

Cons

ROI is not immediate. It takes a while for all systems to be running efficiently and optimally. After a few months that should not be an issue.

As alluded to in a prior response, the biggest value add of owner.com is our ability to reclaim lost revenue opportunity by way of converting third-party online sales to direct sales. In Q1 of 2025 alone, our business paid over $39,000 in commission, merchant, and processing fees to the third-party delivery apps that we work with. I can only imagine what month three will look like, if in week one alone, we were able to reclaim 25 to 30% of that lost revenue.

Pros

Owner.com has helped us reclaim a significant percentage of third-party delivery app commission fees at our restaurant, in just the first week of using it. They have a wide range of marketing tools such as automated text and email blasts, as well as custom conversion cards, to convert third-party online business into direct sales via your app or website - both of which they build for you from scratch!

Cons

It would be nice if they provided photography and videography services for our restaurant, like our former provider SpotHopper did. There are also a couple of limitations in setting up custom text and email marketing campaigns within their platform, such as inability to segment your user base and inability to send yourself test emails and texts before blasting.

Pros

Owner was quick and easy to set up; their templates were straightforward and dashboard and admin panel helpful

Cons

It's being sold as a premium product to increase revenue but isn't that. there is no support on how to actually increase revenue which is the reason for paying the premium

Overall my experience is good, especially in comparison to what I had before. For the things I can customize, it's very easy to do so and changes take effect right away. I love the reporting so that I can see progress made and what needs to be improved.

Pros

User friendly both as business owner and customer. 24/7 support. Easy access to business reports. Also the willingness to help from the team.

Cons

Customization in some areas are limited. For example if I wanted to put a video on the site, it would need to be a YouTube video. The cost

Pros

Owner.com is easy to use and integrate with third party platforms like clover POS. Every struggled on how to establish your own delivery? Owner.com gave us their super easy solution for us.

Cons

The table could be little slow although you can arrange a delivery from your own restaurant to your customer.

Not at all worth the spend. I wish we would have given that money to a local business who would've listened to what we wanted and who we are.

Pros

We saw a slight increase in online orders, but nowhere near enough to cover what we spent. I can't think of much to put in the "pros" column.

Cons

They didn't listen to us at all during our meeting to design the website. We're a plant-based restaurant and they talked about our "locally sourced meats." They seem to just assume they know your brand identity, and then go from there. They also sent us some very cheap looking cards that had out of focus graphics to give away $10 an order. That was their big advertising idea. Not at all worth $500 a month for a small business.

Pros

They were very thorough and informative from the very beginning. Kept me up to date on every step as well as continued check ins.

Cons

I have yet to find anything that I dislike about them. If anything it would have to be that they are not compatible with our current POS system, but they provided a tablet to use instead.
