Overall the process of switching over was very smooth. We were able to get everything set up quickly and have seen an uptick in sales and search engine hits steadily. They are also very attentive and helpful.

Pros

Owner was able to produce a better version of our previous website and app, for cheaper than we were paying before. They also track our SEO, allowing us to target customer bases better and shore up issues we find along the way. They also make saving customer information for online payments simple, allowing for more retention in potential customers.

Cons

The primary negative in working with one of their websites is that while it is easy to build out pages for the site, more advanced customization isn't possible on your own or at all in some cases.

Very pleased with the overall experience. Questions are answered quite fast, their AI chat assistant is pretty handy, and having the ability to deliver without losing our $$$ in commissions and fees is a big deal.

Pros

Ease of setup and use. With our previous system we had very little control over the appearance of our online ordering site and website. We also have never had an app, and we have been in business since 1975. Now we have apps on the Apple Store and Google Play store. Our SEO rankings are already improving after just three weeks. Customer service, onboarding, and support have been a plus.

Cons

There are some things that have to be customizable based on the business, and although we have found workarounds (like options for our locations not using the platform to be represented on our website) but there should be more consideration for businesses with multiple locations if and when they are not all signing up. We signed up two of our five locations on a trial basis and it was a little frustrating getting the locations not participating to still be represented on our website. We got it done, but it was trial and error.

Overall, the vendor has failed to deliver the promised services, resulting in operational disruption, reputational damage, and financial loss.

Pros

We selected this vendor initially because their ordering website interface was visually appealing and seemed well-designed.

Cons

First, communication has been extremely disorganized. Without our acknowledgment and consent, Owner sent promotional emails mitipal times (including discounts and free item offers) to our entire customer database. These campaigns were not clearly written, resulting in significant confusion. As a result, many dine-in customers came in expecting free items, creating operational disruptions and financial loss. Second, the system itself is unreliable and incomplete. On multiple occasions, online orders placed by customers were not transmitted to our POS system (Toast). Customers arrived to pick up their orders only to find that their food had not been prepared, leading to frustration and multiple negative reviews. Additionally, the refund system is severely limited. It only allows refunds by entering a total amount, without the ability to process itemized refunds. This creates serious complications, especially when taxes and tips are involved, and falls far below the standard functionality expected from a professional POS-integrated system. Most importantly, Owner markets themselves as providing SEO services. However, they have failed to deliver even the most basic SEO implementation. For example, our service areas are not listed on our website, which is fundamental for local SEO. We have had independent professionals evaluate the SEO performance over several months, and the results have shown no meaningful improvement. We raised these SEO concerns over two months ago and followed up again two weeks ago. To date, we have received no response.

Overall, my experience has been disappointing and stressful. I was told it would take about three months to see improvement, which I understand, but that also means potentially losing $18,000 in sales before knowing if it will actually work. There is no guarantee that performance will recover, and that creates significant risk for a small restaurant. At this point, I feel stuck. My customers have already downloaded the app and joined the rewards system, making it very difficult to switch back without causing confusion and frustration. Rebuilding my original website and SEO presence—where I had invested heavily—would be a major hassle. The situation feels less like a partnership and more like a lock-in. While the concept is attractive, the execution, cost structure, and sales impact have not matched the promises made during onboarding and advertising. For my business, the financial downside has outweighed the benefits so far.

Pros

The platform has a clean interface, and the idea of helping restaurants drive direct orders instead of relying on third-party marketplaces is appealing. The rewards system and app experience for customers is polished, and onboarding initially feels promising. In theory, it aims to help restaurants build long-term customer relationships.

Cons

Owner.com heavily advertises itself as “commission-free,” but in reality, commission-free pickup and delivery through a restaurant’s own website is not new. Most platforms, including DoorDash Storefront, already offer commission-free pickup and delivery with only standard credit card processing fees. This was repeatedly presented as something unique in marketing, which felt misleading after switching. Since moving from my own SEO-optimized website to Owner.com’s backend, my sales have dropped significantly—by at least $6,000 in the first month alone. I was previously using DoorDash Storefront with no platform fee for pickup orders and only a 2.99% credit card processing fee. Delivery and pickup through my own website were truly commission-free, and my sales were stronger. In addition to the $500 monthly subscription, customers are being charged platform fees that add up to an additional $400–$500 per week so i am paying in total $5000-$6000 a month in fees, which is extremely high. When combined, the total cost ends up exceeding what I was paying with DoorDash in many cases.

At the time, it aligned well with our goal of driving direct orders and maintaining ownership of our customer data without locking us into a complex system. Plus less fees and no platform fees to my customer which saves their money.

I was nervous switching back to Owner from Toast, as they don't directly integrate, however, the team helped very quickly with the 3rd party Otter integration, and the setup went smoothly. Now that we are back on the platform, we will start to use it several times a week to send email and SMS marketing. We realized that this is a vital piece of the buisness. For our customers, they have always said how modern and up to date our apps and website is. They love that we can be on the same level as big chains

Pros

We love how owner.com is so user-friendly and intuitive. It is easy to use, from website design and editing to email marketing. The whole platform makes small businesses look professional and like big companies.

Cons

Overall, even though the ROI is very quick. the cost of the software is a big factor. Otherwise having more direct integrations over using another third party like OTTER.

Poor. Norw lues and promises of $4-$8k growth per month. It was zero growth. Just another parasite that takes money from the people that work for it

Customer service is the best. Knowledgeable, answer the phone, quick resolution. Easy to use. Good user interface

Cons

Had a bump in sales for 3 months then it tanked. Useless waste of $500 a month. SEO does nothing, improving google listing does nothing. Both of these yoy can fix yourself for free and get no results.

Overall, our experience with Owner.com has been positive. The setup was fairly smooth, the team was helpful, and we felt supported throughout the onboarding process. While there’s still room for the platform to grow—especially in supporting upscale, guest-focused concepts, sustainability and more choices while designing our websites—we see the potential and appreciate being part of something that’s actively improving. It’s helped us streamline online orders, stay connected with our customers, and maintain more control over our brand.

Pros

Owner.com helped us with our customer relationships and allowed us to prioritize direct orders without relying on third-party platforms, and all there crazy fees!. The onboarding experience was fairly smooth, and their team was responsive and hands-on. We also appreciated the built-in marketing tools, which help us stay connected with guests and encourage repeat business. It’s clear they’re building something with long-term value, and we liked being part of that from early on.

Cons

As a more elevated, sustainability-focused restaurant, we felt some parts of the platform could be better tailored to modern, experience-driven brands. The system feels geared more toward speed and convenience—which we understand is important—but we’d love to see more customization options, the ability to sell our wine (which we bottle) and tools that support a high-touch, guest-focused experience. That said, we’re hopeful Owner.com continues evolving in that direction.

Platform is good, the sale, onboarding and support aren't the best. For $500 a month, I expected more. I don't recommend anybody to use them, cause the experience overall isn't good.

Pros

Mobile app works great, it's modern and intuitive. The dashboard to control sales and settings also works well.

Cons

The onboarding process was a significant issue. The person taking care of us had no idea about most of the POS settings. I had to figure it out myself how to syncronize change in my POS (Toast) with Owner Menu. The person had a lack of knowledge about their own platform, at a point where I needed to prove on a zoom call to show how things in fact work in the Menu Sync. The person recomended to change from Toast to Square, saying it would be easier, everything automated. We did! Just to find out there is no Menu Sync with Square. Now we need to manage 2 menus, POS and Owner.com Sales person, was great until we signed the contract, after that, responded 1 or 2 messages and ghosted me when I shared the issues I was having with onboarding and POS.

My experience with owner.com has been magical. I absolutely love this company and what they do. I believe that they offer great value to any restaurant establishment. The sign-up process was a breeze. They over delivered in terms of getting everything ready within a certain amount of time. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with my success manager, he really makes me feel like he’s on my team. I now have my own app, online, ordering, delivery, and a beautiful website! There is no other company out there that does this.

Pros

I love that they customize your own personal website (which came out amazing btw) and also offer delivery along with your online ordering platform!

Cons

I honestly have no complaints or dislikes with owner.com. If I were forced to choose something I would say their customer support number should be more obvious in the guests’ order details.

Overall owner.com has exceeded my expectations. I looked at several different options and have tried a few different ones over the past 4 years, but have found this to be the most all encompassing solution and for a really good price. Their customer service is extremely knowledgeable and competent and are able to quickly resolve issues.

Pros

My favorite feature is the slick design of the website itself. It takes a conventional menu and makes it interactive to prompt every customer to place an order immediately. It also helps to upsell by offering commonly paired with or commonly added items. We saw a 10% jump in ticket average just by the upsell features alone.

Cons

I would like to see more integration features with our POS. Currently owner.com can send information but isn't receiving information from our POS in terms of menus. Depending on your POS, it may not be developed yet to maintain a menu on only one source. I would love to see owner.com develop a POS and kiosk feature as well.

Their price was a small part of my decision but the bottom line came down to online visibility which they are peerless in their own right. No other services I trialed or investigated could match what they do. They use some older tactics like email campaigns but with newer tricks to keep your business top of mind.

A few bumps in the road, but overall the system is miles ahead of what was being offered with our previous service, and what was being offered by other companies. They have worked with us to address any issues we may have run into and the system itself has been solid. Very reliable ordering system.

Pros

The changeover was remarkable. Within a week all of our menu items, modifications, and photos were already set up and ready to roll with marketing materials as well. The onboarding team was able to access all of our previous systems and convert all the information to the new system. The new tablet and dashboard have a ton of new featured that we could not even get with our previous provider Chow Now.

Cons

My biggest issue would be the marketing function. You can only import customers information if they have Name, telephone number and email. So if you had customers sign up with just an email, you can not reach them until they order again. Unless, of course, you continue to use your previous email client.

Overall it is good product for small restaurants.

Pros

Our website look much more professional with Owner.com. It also has much lower fee than other delivery platforms. Their delivery fee is also lower than using Square online. It also offers free auto text and email marketing.

Cons

The online payment system (Stripe) sometimes failed to prevent fraudulent transactions. However Owner.com reimburse us for those lost. But you still have to spend time to let their customers services know so they can reimburse you.

I love their new and existing features. They are all about thinking of ways to help restaurant owners and managers happy by providing a means to keep business coming in without having to use 3rd party platforms, as well as giving them the customer data they deserve

Cons

The only thing I am waiting on them to do is perfect their capabilities to integrate with POS companies directly.

Overall, Owner.com has been a game changer for my business. We have grown our sales online by 3-5k a month, which has been incredible. From being a small business with very little tech savvy, owner.com has made me feel like I have a legitimate storefront online and a professional online ordering system. There hasn't been any major issues that weren't resolved quickly and timely by their customer service reps, and the overall SEO improvements because of Owner has really helped me in my business.

Pros

The best part about owner to me was the fact that they have increased my SEO optimization and I am easier to find online. I have a small restaurant business, and ranking on google and other search engines before used to be a struggle. With owner.com my brand is one of the top restaurants to pop up for a majority of mediterranean food categories which has reflected in a large growth of online orders. Also, the intuitiveness of the website and the flawless customer service interactions I have had have really made an impact on my impression of owner.com. I have had scenarios where I've needed instantaneous resolutions for delivery changes, customer issues and they have never let me down. Fantastic response times!

Cons

If there is anything I would like owner.com to improve it would probably be the lack of customization for the website template itself. They pretty much limit you to color scheme and banner customization, making all owner.com sites seems rather similar. It isn't a deal breaker but being able to have some uniqueness to our site would be a welcomed integration.

Definitely recommend 10/10 for anyone looking to up their game and to improve online presence and conversion ability.

Pros

After researching owner.com for quite some time I decoded to give it a shot. I am happy I did as it has greatly improved our online presence and marketing ability. They have great sites, built us our own app and send us great flyers to market our business to our customers!

Cons

There are no features we are unhappy with

### "Finally an affordable option for online ordering and delivery!!!"

Pros

My restaurant was generating about $14K in sales through 3rd party delivery each month. I was losing over $4000 in revenue right of the top. The math doesn't get any easier. By partnering with Owner and their $500 flat fee I am able to afford to offer my instore pricing for my online/delivery menu. Being at the high end of the pizza market value is a huge driver of repeat business. It has been a real game changer. With Owner's help my website drives more traffic and has improved my ranking with Google. I can now offer delivery to guests directly instead of funneling them to Door Dash or Uber.Lastly...the sales, onboarding, and continued support team are awesome. It is refreshing to have people on the other end of the phone that actually care about your satisfaction.

Cons

It seems to me that the company is growing fast and making improvements as they go. Communication on those improvements could be improved. The biggest note of caution is being aware of the scope of onboarding process. Restaurants can be hectic and finding time work on the website while running busy shifts was challenging for a single owner operator. Well worth the work though!!!
