It is especially effective for building long-term security culture. Pros KnowBe4 offers a wide variety of training content, realistic phishing simulations, and excellent reporting tools. The platform is easy to manage, frequently updated, and helps employees learn cybersecurity best practices in a practical way. Cons Some training content can feel repetitive for experienced users, and the volume of emails may overwhelm employees if not configured carefully. Great remedial training. Cons Found out recently we are paying for things we never had fully set up. Would have been nice if our account rep mentioned that. Pros My favorite feature is the ability to automate employee training with email reminders, completion metrics and compliance reports. Cons The available training topics can be somewhat repetitive. IT Director Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Knowledgeable Users Are Your Best Firewall" January 22, 2026 5.0 We've been using KnowBe4 for five or six years now and have found it to be a good experience. The phishing tests keep our users on their toes and our phishing test scores have definitely improved over that time and are consistently quite good. We have noted a better awareness from staff of phishing and a definite improvement in their posture regarding suspicious emails. The cost has crept up somewhat during our time using KnowBe4, but compared to the cost of a security breach due to a phishing email, it's negligible. The bottom line is that it works and we've seen marked improvement amongst our staff. Pros Their content (both training and their phishing tests) is constantly being updated to stay relative and concurrent. The user interface for admins is relatively clean and simple to use. Also, having an account representative who checks in regularly and makes suggestions for improvement and assists in setting up new campaigns is a pretty great thing and helps keep us on track with our training goals. Their service overall is constantly evolving and adding new features and capabilities that improve their suite of tools, although not all are always included with your subscription and are add-ons. Cons I find the reporting options a bit limited. We attempted to pivot to using the API to do custom reporting but found it a bit sparse and apparently not often updated. October 20, 2025 4.0 KnowBe4 is simple to learn and easy to setup as they have recommendations if you have not used a phishing simulator before and is very cheap to start off. Pros Knowbe4 is great for the price. You get a lot of value for money and the ease of use is very simple to learn. Threat Simulation is the gold standard as well. Cons Some modern solutions using AI can automate the system, which I wish KnowBe4 had so it could be more personalized and automated at the same time. The trainings offered are engaging and often times fun, which makes ongoing cybersecurity learning easier for myself and the team. Pros This cybersecurity and safety training platform is intuitive and user friendly, with incentivizes staff to particpate in ongoing learning, in addition to phising exercises which are real world examples with feedback tracking. Cons Initially, the standardized use of this platform by our IT team wasn't clearly laid out via the vendor, but overtime, it is integrated well with the organizations overall cybersecurity training and knowledge base. Vice President, Human Resources and Administration Construction Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Fantastic cybersecurity training platform, but missing some features" October 31, 2023 5.0 If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the KnowBe4 cybersecurity learning platform for our organization. But I would skip the additional learning and compliance training, and I might go for a longer term to get a more significant discount. Pros The KnowBe4 training and testing platform was fairly easy to roll out across our organization, and was in place and being used within a few weeks of signing a three-year agreement. Much quicker implementation than I've seen with other software platforms. The cybersecurity training content is very good, and gives us a lot of options from in-depth long-form learning tracks to quick training videos and even distributable flyers and posters. And the training is effective! Our risk score has improved by almost 20% in just six months. Feedback from users on the platform generally and the content specifically is positive almost across the board. Cons We opted for the expanded learning content including compliance training, which has been great in the sense that we can give users additional non-cybersecurity learning options, but the content is limited and the courses I've explored haven't been particularly useful. Also, making the content available on-demand (instead of assigned like the cybersecurity courses) was difficult and resulted in a few frustrated users. If I ever have the opportunity, I will use it in future environments and I know it will foster the awareness around phishing and security in businesses that I work with. Pros The ease of administration has been exceptional for us as an MSP. The ability to thoroughly customize phishing and training campaigns, the extensive list of training modules in the ModStore, and the ability to get really in depth with who you want to target in your organization are some of the most important things to note. On top of what I have already mentioned, support is very helpful for our team. Cons I wouldn't say there is anything from a usage POV that I dislike. Their videos are entertaining and up to date. There are no cut scenes from an office that were filmed 20 years ago and outdated information. They also have great testing which will see if your employees learned anything and I am not talking about after the videos; real email phising tests. Cons There is nothing that I can list, it checks every box for me. They even give the option to speed up playback, for those that like to listen at a quicker pace. Review Source GT Gary T. The learner dashboard is not the most appealing, and the navigation bars are smaller than I'd expect, but the training has always been delivered well. Pros The training, which are usually videos, are well put together and delivered in a great way. Notification settings send reminders, and tracking is always correct. Cons The navigation doesn't look particularly nice. Campaigns are easy to setup and rollout. You can build templates and then copy the template for each campaign throughout the whole year.
